From NBC Universal Media Village
Antonio Sabato Jr.
Celebrity Contestant
Celebrity Circus
Wednesdays on NBC (9-10 p.m. ET) beginning June 18;
Series Premiere: June 11 (9:30-11 p.m. ET)
Actor Antonio Sabato Jr. currently stars on NBC’s daring new cirque reality show “Celebrity Circus.”
Sabato Jr. grew up in Rome and his first language is Italian. He didn't learn to speak English until he moved to Beverly Hills in 1984 with his mom and sister. His big break came when he was cast in the infamous Janet Jackson video “Love Will Never Do Without You.”
Beginning his career as Jagger Cates on "General Hospital," Sabato Jr. has proven to be one of the hottest commodities to come out of daytime television, nabbing a series of prime-time roles and modeling in the most successful Calvin Klein underwear campaign in the company's history.
Antonio was most recently seen starring in the movies “Ghost Voyage” for the Sci-Fi Channel and “Destination: Infestation” opposite Jessalyn Gilsig. Previously, Sabato Jr. also starred in “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Melrose Place,” “The Big Hit,” “The Help,” “Ally McBeal” and “Charmed.” In 2007 he was seen on the big screen in the independent thriller “Mysterious,” co-starring James Brolin.
In 1992 Antonio landed a coveted spot in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People issue. Fashion designer Calvin Klein then hired the actor in the summer of 1996 to be the company's first celebrity model since Mark Wahlberg four years earlier. During his tenure with Calvin Klein, Sabato Jr. appeared in a campaign on a 90-foot billboard in the middle of Times Square.
In addition to acting and modeling, Sabato Jr. is also an accomplished author; his "No Excuses: Workout for Life" was published in 1999 and quickly became a best-selling exercise book.
Antonio currently resides in Los Angeles. He is a fitness and auto-racing enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his son, Jack, and daughter, Mina.

Of all the performers on the show, Antonio made me hold my breath the most! His act looked dangerous and yet he handled himself with the grace of someone who has been performing the silks for years. I was so impressed with the hard work he has obviously put into his performance. I do hope that he will continue to shine thru the performances! Good Job Antonio!

Antonio did FABULOUS last night. Judges are too hard on him...he should have gotten the marks that they gave to Stacey.

I was very disappointed in Antonio's scores on the Chinese Poles. Clearly it was the most difficult act, and his performance was very, very good. It was entertaining and very enjoyable. Mitch mentioned the degree of difficulty, but the scores did not reflect it. I will be so disappointed if he doesn't move forward.

I agree totally! Antonio is getting very poor scores for fantastic performances! He's giving 150% and really pushing himself to not only do the various skills, but bringing each performance to the next level with stuff the rest of the cast couldn't even dream of doing! Now THIS is a circus performance! I think he's far and away the best performer with Stacy Dash second. I hope he continues to move forward.
The best thing about Antonio is he isn't coasting at all, which, imo, some of the cast are, yet it's ridiculous how the judges are being so harsh with him with excuses ranging from his fitness raising their expectations to his not doing something sexy with the Chinese Poles.
Go Antonio!

Antonio SO deserves to win!!! His act tonight was flawless, classy, sexy, romantic, and exciting. That Shannon's a lucky girl!!! Antonio not only gives it his all, but he listens to what the judges have to say and he uses it. His devastating good looks, sweet personality, work ethic, enthusiasm, and terrific attitude are going to place that Wheel of Death trophy on his mantle.
