Considering Janet is the only professional athlete of all the celebrities (and a 5-time medaled Olympian at that), I predict she will kick some celebrity boo-tay! biggrin.gif

Janet Evans
Celebrity Contestant

Celebrity Circus
Wednesdays on NBC (9-10 p.m. ET) beginning June 18;
Series Premiere: June 11 (9:30-11 p.m. ET)

Swimmer Janet Evans currently stars on NBC’s daring new reality show “Celebrity Circus.”

Despite her small size and unorthodox windmill stroke, Evans was a natural-born swimmer who was swimming laps at the age of two. In 1987, when she was 15 years old, Evans, broke the world record in the 400m, 800m and the 1,500m freestyle. At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Evans won her first gold medal in the 400m individual medley. Three days later, she won the 400m freestyle and broke her own world record by 1.6 seconds. She added a third Olympic victory in the 800m freestyle. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Evans easily defended her title in the 800m by leading from start to finish and winning by eight meters and won the silver in the 400m. Evans made one final appearance at the Olympics in 1996, but sites running the Olympic Torch, rather than the actual competition, as the highlight of that Olympics. She is considered the greatest female distance swimmer of all time, and her world records for the 400m, the 800m and the 1500m, set in 1988 and 1989, have yet to be broken.

Currently, Evans is also a highly requested public speaker throughout the world.

ACTOR BASHING
Ok, ok, ok...so being a little critical of performances is one thing, but
actors are people too. Whether you think their performances were good or
bad, feel free to talk about it. But please do so as if you were talking to
the actor face to face. You need to treat the celebrities (scripted or
reality) the way you'd treat any other users on the boards. Moderators will
delete any messages that are considered flames to actors or other users.

I thought Janet did a good job last night, although I liked her first performance better. She is a phenomenal athlete with obviously an impeccable work ethic. It's great to see she is listening to the judges and working on the artistic/grace portion of her performances. Can't wait to see her wow everyone next week... smile.gif
