Full Version: any hope for us lap-band patients?

was just wondering if there would be any hope for us lap-band patients who have not been successful with the lap-band procedure to have a chance to be in the biggest losser to at least learn to excersise the right way for a better chance at weight loss? please advise!!! don't have a clue how to get in touch with jillian michaels and feeling pretty depressed. please help!

I thought the beauty of the lap band procedure was that it was totally reversible whereas regular gastric bypass isn't. It is also supposed to be adjustable and the dr. should be able to inject saline solution into the port.

Maybe you should see your Dr. again You may need follow up care and in the absense of any help, I'd find another dr. Your procedure might have been botched and why you haven't seen results. But then again, the lap band procedure is just a tool. I understand the results with the lap band are alot less than traditional bypass.

I would think if it was removed you would not have any problems with eligibility. I think the goal of the show though is to promote 'will power' or 'can' power.. verses 'can't' power.. I know for myself it's not that I don't know how to lose weight or how to eat.. I just continue to struggle with discipline issues with both eating and regular exercise. I'm not giving up though.. I continue to work on these things. Maybe one day it'll click!
