This was tasteless. With so many Americans out of work why make fun of the situation & the people that have lost jobs to foreign markets.

Oh c'mon, Its called a JOKE... Wheres your sense of humor?, I thought it was funny... Of course it isn't true... But thats what a joke is, To take a real subject and to contrast and or be sarcastic with it to make it funny. Whats the problem? It was just a joke, "Jokes are meaningless".

hey colton, i think we should just give up on trying to stop people from complaining about a joke...They dont seem to get that they are watching a comedy show...something you believe in is going to get burned at some point..

Im from Australia and whenever they make a joke about Australia i dont give a crap! its funny! if i complained about it, it would make me a hypercrit to laugh at the other jokes that are made.

Perhaps a percentage of infrequent viewers should be watching FOX (news), not NBC. I mean, who wants to watch comedy that won't always conform to one's views? Sure, the Half Hour News Hour and Talkshow with Spike Feresten may suck, but at least they're predictable.

And exactly what fountain of knowledge are you quoting this from? It doesn't even make any sense. You have to know something about a joke's subject to "get it"--so how are jokes "meaningless"?

And for that matter, since when is this board a booster club for Conan? Why in the world does everyone who posts here have to like the show? To me, it's far more interesting when people want to talk about the show, not just gush and slobber over how good it all is. One of the reasons I've mostly moved to other boards and other discussions--they tend to be more mature than what I'm used to finding here.

Its his way of getting out of something by saying "Jokes are meaningless". I don't know why your so angry... We are just discussing the show and enjoying our selves... Not slobbering all over it. I thought, with the joke, Conan was making reference to how nobody in the US probably knows how to make a good desk anymore, due to all our stuff coming in from overseas.
