I'm confused now. Is one of those two people Evs dropper? Some of the clones died when Julien was released, but the person in the front right seat is another clone? And is Evs dropper? @_@

so it appears he can produce non-vegetative clones almost instantly.... this GN issue raised more questions than it answered. the root julien is somehow mentally connected to his clones so did he sever that connection when he was released - is that why they started dying? also, both the root julien with sabine and the one that picked them up at the end had wounds on their head...
also on the back of the car they were escaping in had the word "willow" on the back of it - wonder what that means.....

One more panel could have clarified what was going on.

What did he mean by not exactly being Evs... Is the Julien in her arms dead, was the driver in on it or being manipulated - (there's something odd about the position of the driver in the car.), was that another Julien in the front seat, why did the branches die?, this was just... confusing...

Okay...the "root" is still alive. I agree that it was a little confusing, but the writer cleared that part up over at the 9thWonders forum.

I think the "branch" in front works for/with Evs, but I'm not certain he's "part" of Evs. (He may even be working against Evs, but that's unlikely.)

As far as the driver? Not a clue there.

Well, this has potential. Certainly better than the last storyline, or the inconclusive one before it. (Synch, no offense, but you were at least half wrong.)

None taken, of course...but half wrong about what?

Well, aside from certain recurring characters—like Dropper and Noah—there isn't much about this storyline which ties it to...say...Donna's. Heck, I'd even argue these events—Donna's recruitment, the idiocy with whatsherface, etc.—were happening over the same period of days or weeks, tops.

I recall you insisting that we'd be following Donna well into the summer. Or did I misunderstand you?

Not sure how it came across, but I meant to imply that we'd be following the EvsDropper storyline through the summer.

While these hiatus novels have been interesting, the connecting "evs" things isn't.

I just wanted to say thanks to the whole GN team... and the easter egg really made my day.

What the heck happened? Why is Julian Prime able to make instant duplicates all of a sudden?

I was pretty sure after part two that Julian and Evan had two different abilities.**Scratches head**

In Juliens case I was thinking about budding and parthogenesis.

Well, At least now we know that there is information flow between Root and Branch.

There is further evidence to suggest that EVS has considerable resources. It almost appears as if He,She or They have formed an organization of their own.
