I am a huge fan of Dr. Jonas (Daniel). I think he is very talented and not to mention cute I really like the fact that Daniel has an edge, i love that he is mysterious, did i mention cute and i love that he is well traveled, educated and a great doctor. I think he is so awesome, the fact that he is mysterious makes it even better. I really can't wait to see more him on screen. I loved him in his scrubs on friday's episode, omg i loved his butt. Did you guys notice that and his dimples they are soooo cute. I also love that he is very charming and passionate. I really can't say enough about him. I wanted to know what you guys like about him. IMO there is so much to like.

I love Daniel or Dr Jonas first because of the obvious he is extremely HOT but lets face it SC is the one that is HOT! But more than that I love the fact that he is not perfect he is flawed and is haunted by his past. It makes him partly vulnerable. I love him because he can be arrogant. I love the fact he is a brilliant surgeon who has saved countless lives. I love the fact that he has a gypsy soul traveling from one place to another afraid to settle down or get into a relationship where he might get heartbroken because it gives him again that sense of vulnerability. I like how he can't fight his attraction to someone that the public would think he doesn't belong to; that makes him more real. I love him because as brilliant of a surgeon he is his personal life is a mess and he knows it and admits it. I love the fact that he isn't willing to risk breaking the heart of someone he truely cares about because he knows his life is messy. I am glad that they brought Daniel into town and I am hoping to get to see many more layers from this very well written character.

Oh my where should I start....I have never seen a more realistic male character on any soap than Daniel. He is so complicated and so real. He has commitment issues, he is a flirt, he is smart, he is sexy, he is down to earth....

I love that he is a doctor but still marches to his own drummer. He hasn't let his job define the way he lives his life. I like that he surfs and enjoys extreme sports. I adored the boys night out episode...that was so so real.

Oh and to be a bit shallow for a moment...I love those dimples!

I love Dr. Daniel Jonas he is the best thing Days couldve brought in. He is an educated man with real life flaws. He is stubborn and a commitment phobe which is like most of the men we seem to encounter now a days. He is extremely handsome and makes u go weak in the knees with his killer smile full of dimples. I think the real reason for him being loved so much lies under the actor that portrays him. Shawn Christian is an amazing actor with the ability to make a scene shine without the use of words. He has great talent and I am happy they have paired him up with someone as amazing as Rachel Melvin. These two when together set the screen on fire and I am hoping Days will continue with their current storyline. Dena is doing an amazing job at writing this character out to the public. Haydee I really do have to agree that is very well said! Shawn does make the scene shine and he doesn't even have to say a word. He has done an amazing job with the character of Daniel. Dena has done a fantastic job beautifully writing this multilayered character. Lookin forward to lots of Daniel in the future!

I don't know what else to add to this post, because I agree with what everyone said.

I love him because he is incredibly good looking. I love his smile most of all. I love his abs, his eyes...I could go on. I love the fact that he is an intelligent, confident (but not arrogant), and compassionate doctor. I love that he loved his wife so much that he could not get over her for such a long time. I love how he looks at Chelsea. I love how torn he is over his feelings towards her.

A lot of why I love him comes from Shawn's portrayal of Daniel. He is an amazing actor. He is so natural. His portrayal is not as stiff as most actors. When he talks, he talks like a regular person talks and not an actor who is trying to sound like a regular person. I love every expression he makes. I love how he talks to himself in some scenes. I love his hand gestures. I could go on and on....

Well... where shall I start.

1. I love him because he is a real character we can all relate to, he is arrogant, stubborn, outspoken, and doesnt take anyones crap, have I mentioned hes just WAY TO HOT!!?

2. He shows that he has a big heart, we see many different sides of Daniel Jonas, we see him as a caring DR and we see him as a MAN.... we see that hes going through the motions of denying his feelings when it comes to Chelsea, just like a person in situation might do when they are head over heels for someone they dont think is right for them or that they think they might hurt, that shows how much of a great caring man he is.

3. Did I mention HOT!

4. Its so refreshing to see someone on this show that fits into their character so well, all his hand gestures and facial expressions, makes you feel like there is a "Daniel Jonas" inside Shawn Christian.

5. His love for Chelsea is so strong you can see in everything he does how he feels for this woman, watching them on screen - I just hold my breath waiting for the next scene......

I agree with everything you have said about how great Shawn Christian is with the character of Dr. Daniel Jonas. He brings such life to the character that you feel every emotion that he does..When he is hurt you want to hug him and when he is sad you want to cheer him up. Shawn can do what few actors can..he can tell a story with his eyes alone. You can see the pain and the joy in him without Shawn ever having to say a word..it is a rare and wonderful talent that he has..he is such a find for Days. Shawn's character Daniel leaps from the screen and takes hold of your heart with such a talent behind it. The writers are doing such a fine job of making him believable and down to earth and Shawn is bringing that extra something to make him the best new Day's character to come along in years...Dena, What a find girl...and keep up the good work..

Wow finally a positive thread about the hot Doctor. It is great to see there are fans out there that Love Dr. Daniel Jonas as much as I do and its a big relief to see this post as oppose to all the hate threads we read. People can be so judgemental and closed minded. I recently started watching Days and must say that I am so intrigued by this character. I was sitting in my house a day I was off from work flipping through channels and low and behold there was Dr. Daniel Jonas and Chelsea. She was at the hospital talking to her about my favorite scene as of yet...The Penguin Club. It was such a cute scene and Shawn really was very emotional in this scene and I was able to understand why wen I found out his wife had died. Over all he is an amazing character that brings reality to the screen. I along with the rest of you LOVE Dr. Daniel Jonas and cant wait for the Daniel and Chelsea storyline to progress!!

First of to give credit where credit is due. I think that the writing of the character of Daniel is wonderful. I love the mystery of his unknown past, the intensity he feels for his profession. He is truly a man who works hard and plays hard. Also the protrayal of Daniel Jonas by Shawn Christian is unbelievably excellent. As it has been said without words you feel you can see into the sould of his character. You feel his pain, you see the rage in his eyes, the laughter. The chemistry he has with Rachel Melvin is off the charts!!!!

I feel that Daniel is a very believable character. He makes all your typical guy mistakes. He is a "man's man". When he sees a beautiful woman he openly admires it. However, you can tell when he is more than just admiring a beautiful woman. His internal struggles are so realistic. He is a totally flawed character, which makes him so lovable. He is a breath of fresh air to Salem. Someone who is seemlessly unrelated to anyone. His free spirit and outsiders perspective is just what Salem needs more of.

There is also his impeccible physique. I have yet to see one flaw (and we have been lucky to see quite a bit). Keep up the good work Days.

That was so well said! He is a man's man. Not a night in shining armour, but a real man like so many of us already have in our lives (or wish we did). He is far from perfect, but he tries to be true to himself. You gotta love that.

You are so right! He was great with that little girl Angela who was his patient. I love a man that knows how to talk to children, it is a sign he will be a good father one day. Wasn't it sweet how Chelsea teared up when she watched him talk to that little girl? She is really in love with him...sigh..

He has never really felt the need to deal with his personal life because he was satisfied, but as of late he is no longer satisfied with the way he has lived his life.........he wants more!! I am looking forward to seeing this character unfold. Something I just can't miss.

i love daniel. he's sooo hottt but not only that he's compassionate and very mysterious. i love how tptb are writing him. the mysteriousness in him just makes you want to figure him even more. its keeps you interested. It also helps that he has some flaws of his own just like chelsea. they are made for eachother. Daniel is a verry hot and normal human being and he makes life seem easy for chelsea. i absolutely LOVE it!

Daniel has been saying for a while now that he's leaving salem.. & it still hasn't happened. he can't bear the thought of leaving chelsea. she's holding him back...i love it! No matter how hard he tries to make it about surfing or his job he just can't step out of that hospital or salem for that matter. Him asking her out totally showed that he learned his lesson and gave into his feelings he couldn't hold them back anymore
