I caught the most recent show of Crook & Chase the other day and the featured performers were the Bellamy Brothers. They sang Let Your Love Flow and it was just beautiful. While they sang I noticed they were actually singing close harmony as only family can do and you could hardly tell which of them was actually the lead voice at any given time. I am sure glad we have Mr. Rich to let us know that the Bellamy Brothers can never be a successful act because one of them isn't the lead voice.

Come to think of it did the Beatles have a lead voice? Yeah it was mostly Paul and John but that is two people singing lead at various times while the other two were featured in some what fewer songs. Did the Judds really have a lead singer or are we talking more close harmony? Mr. Rich should let all them good folks know that they can never rise to the top unless they get a lead voice in the group. Maybe Mr. Rich is just thinking of all the pop/rock groups that have a front man for the band and thinks that is what makes a lead singer.

Bah humbug. I think Pearl Heart is doing just fine as they are. I don't know that I would like them as well if one of them took the lead and the others acted simply as backup singers.

I agree. Another point is the constant complaining that the lead singer needs to work the stage. Watch the other groups and individuals........they don't all work the stage like they are asking of these girls....what's up???

I'd have to agree with most of the above the Judges seem somewhat critical of these girls. I can understand the request for more stage work, but I think that will come with time. So far on this show the best singers are the ones who don’t work the stage much and the ones who work the stage best are not necessarily the best singers. Gabe is voted the best last week but he pretty much just stands there and play guitar, same for Ashlee. Alyson and Tommy are all over the place but their singing is way off. And who is the lead of Laura and Sophie? And when will these two stop giving each other googly eyes when they sing.

I was at the show last night and you can tell that they are all three capable of singing lead. The harmonies we almost flawless. It was nice not hearing the comments about Courtney not owning the stage. They all owned it last night.

p.s. Also, all the contestants sound much better live than on television. It was almost like watching a different show. What's up with the sound?

I was at the show as well, and thought PH sounded very good! I liked the look they were given by whoever the style person is this week. smile.gif

I've thought the same thing about the performances sounding better at the shows than on tv when I go back and listen. I have yet to figure out why it is... but it seems that way every week.
