Did that last guy actually turn the crowd or was that clever editing? The guy sang pretty consistently throughout, so I'm not understanding what he did to turn the hostile crowd around.

I think it was set up too. I think the audience was directed to start with boos and then "turn around." I can't believe that the audience would have so quickly booed anyone after that story about the accident and his loss of a speaking voice. They would have given him a longer benefit of the doubt because of the touching story. If he'd turned out to be really bad---knowing his story---they might not have voted him on, but they would not have been outwardly mean to him. It had to be set up.

Pop Culture KittyI think the audience was set up for the last performer as well. I just can't imagine why else they would have been so mean.

I caught this by accident. Yes it was set up. This is why I've sworn off this show. Couldn't be any more phony.

My chin just about hit the floor when I saw how they treated that man, it was so cruel. He didn't start out bad, he was great. If it was a set up it might cost them some viewers. I hope he wins just so he can rub it in their faces.
