I don't know if they actually read this but I *MUST* say... after watching tonights episode, I have lost any speck of respect I might have had. Regardless as to what is being said to or about you, if you want to be professionals you must ACT LIKE IT! After Jewel's remark, regarding the place that Pearl Heart was in and that you two should have been there... The camera was right on you and you looked like catty little highschoolers. (rolling your eyes and looking slouching etc) I relize you are in deed young, and wish you the best. Just don't forget to take the criticism and make it work for you!

Here's a response to you about the judges being mean, straight from Jeffrey himself. Just read the first few answers and you will see...

Jewel may have been a little blunt, but that still does not call for rolling your eyes. All three of the judges said they needed to grow up a little because they were afraid that they would be eaten alive in the business, and by rolling their eyes and giving the judges dirty looks they just proved to the judges and America that they really do need to grow up.

These little girls are just that little girls, and they are not ready for this business. They definitely need a few years to grow up, become professional and possibly enter into individual careers. Their harmonies are not there, and they do not seem to have any real connection on stage.

The judges only say these things so they know the truth. If they cannot handle the truth & pressure on this show, then they are not going to make it very long in this business. This is a cut-throat industry & it takes a lot out of you. It is not going to be all fun & games, smiles, & people loving everything you do. Put on your big girl panties, take the criticism....get mad about it in private.....and you harness that energy & put it all into your music to get better.

I don't care how old you are....I know 12 year olds who have more respect & self control then to act like they did. It was very rude & it was very hurtful.

To keep things in perspective; Laura and Sophie are being followed by a camera all the time - with the camera looking for interesting TV. Laura and Sophie have not fought on stage nor broken down on stage. They've kept things professional while on stage. It didn't even appear that they were letting on to their mentor that they were having friendship issues until they were specifically asked by Jeffrey. Then, at that time, they were asked to bring their personal issues into their professional realm. Does anyone actually believe that there are ANY professional country singers who have not had personal struggles and cried behind closed doors? Does Laura and Sophie's arguement make great reality TV? - maybe. Does it have anything to say about their talent. nope. Keep on singin' ladies!

My understanding is the arguement occured early on last week... did the show feel it was 'great reality TV' to film them upset with each other and crying? yes... did the show feel it was 'great reality TV' to film them making up and agreeing to put it behind them later in the week? I guess not since we didn't see that part of the story...

any girl who cries (other than maybe a joyful tear or two), age 10 or 40, on a show like this loses my votes!! it takes a lot to be in the music business and imo the tears on or off stage just have to be controlled. I think ashlee and melissa and PH were the only gals who have not been overly dramatic in given situations. way to go ladies! smile.gif

Actually, people have criticized her. Go look in the thread for Monday's episode and you will see where people say that they don't like her "showing of emotion" and all that.

They were specifically asked by Jeff about their friendship issues obviously because Jeff seen something while working with them that had him questioning it.. IMO

Quite a few people have complained about Shawn Mayer's tendency to turn on the waterworks during her performances and after. You might want to take a look at her forum.

So far, the only post I've seen that mentioned Laura and Sophie crying is the one you responded to. And actually, that poster didn't specify who they were talking about, although one would assume they are talking about L&S since it's posted here.

I missed the part of the show where the spat between the girls was aired and I missed the eye-rolling, and I also missed the "bunny ears" so my problem with the girls was, and has remained, the lack of vocal talent I'm hearing. They haven't gotten my votes because I don't think they sing well enough to deserve to win.

And that IMHO probably ruined her career also. How can you fire John Rich as your mentor & then expect to win Nashville Star when John Rich is the one producing the album of the winner?

Don't get so defensive!

I would not say "obviously", but perhaps Jeffrey saw that L & S were having issues, or perhaps producers cued Jeff in on the personal issue.
