So, besides my love of the Office, I have a love of dolls (specifically American Girl dolls). One of them just sat on my shelf since I got her, mostly because I was SO afraid to ruin her hair; until one day I had an epiphany and decided to make her into Pam Beesley.

I defreckled her and started to look for her wardrobe. I had some useable pieces to create her; but I did hire a doll clothes seamstress to make her pink peacoat, her trademark gray skirt, and her lavendar dress from Casino Night. She is also making black pants as well. I found some button down shirts, some cardigans-and piece by piece she is evolving. I am also in the process of making her a "Fun Run" t-shirt.

Right now, the only clothes I have for her are the ones that mimic the episode "Beach Games" and "Halloween"









The only problem I am having is her eyes. In some pictures Pam/Jenna's eyes look blue others look hazel. As of now, I keeping my Pam Beesley eyes blue.

So, what chance do you think I'll have for Jenna to autograph her??? (Considering I live on the East coast, and she is on the West)

Please post pics of the Casino Night dress when you get it. Is there an American Boy doll that can be her Jim?

Unfortunately there is no American Boy doll yet. I have thoughts of taking a girl doll-getting a new wig and fixing up to be Jim. Unfortunately that is a more time consuming project-along with hunting down a guys wardrobe. Because well, most 18" doll clothes are well...feminine. Pam's wardrobe as shown there were already bits and pieces I had-now I'm waiting for the items to be finished. I can't wait!

I do have a pair of "white keds" for the whitest shoe award.

In one of the season 2 commentaries, I remember one of the actors saying Steve, Jenna, and John all had the same hazel eye color.

Thank you for the hint. Maybe I will swap her eyes out one day for a hazel eye color-it has to be when I have money to send her to a place to do that-I'm not risking that myself!

I was thinking hazel too, but I didn't want to spend the money to find out it was blue all along and the camera just made them look darker.

My daughter has the Bitty Twins, but if I'm remembering correctly, the boy does look too young to be passed off as Jim.


I'm thinking that you can send them to the "American Girl Hospital" for free. If so, perhaps she could befall a tragic accident and you can bend the truth and tell them her eyes used to be hazel... (I can't believe what I'm suggesting! )

A conversation at work regarding my project:
So, yesterday at work, I was carrying a box to be mailed out. You see, since Rich dropped me off, I was taking it the post office after work, so I brought it in so I would drop it off.

My assistant reads the box:

"TLC Doll Hospital? What is that?"

"Well...I am sending my dolls in to get their eye swapped out."

"Why are you doing that?"

"Well, my doll needs green eyes, not blue, so I am sending them both in this box to the doll hospital."

(She inspects the box a little further) "It looks awfully small to have two dolls fit in there."

"There aren't two dolls in there, just two doll heads."

(She spits out her soda/water from laughing so hard.) "So, you are telling me, that in that box there are two doll heads?"

"Yup."

"But what happens when they go through the x-ray machine? Isn't the post office going to be concerned about a box with two heads in it?"

"I don't think so, because people have done it before."

"Okay, so WHY are you doing this again?"

"I told you. I am making a Pam Beesley doll, you know from the show The Office."

"I understand that part."

"Well, first I need to defreckle her."

"Defreckle her?"

"Yes. I removed her freckles."

"Okay, how?"

"Nail polish remover."

"So, lets get this straight. You had the doll. You bought nail polisher remover and q-tips and you sat in your house, defreckling her?"

"Uh huh."

"And then what?"

"Well then I realized Pam has hazel eyes, not blue..."

"So that is when you decided to swap eyes?"

"You got it. And that is why the doll heads are in the box right now."

She just shook her head.

I forgot...we have Bitty Baby too! My daughter has the American Girl doll that you buy to match your own hair and eye color. She has dark hair and hazel eyes. The hazel eyes are pretty. I hope they do a good job of switching them out.

I need to send back some of Bitty Baby's accessories. Did you know that the little jar of baby food fits so tightly into the sippy cup that you can't get them loose? That's a poor design, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, we were talking about the Pam doll......

Do you have a pink sweater outfit for her?? The pink sweater is very Season 2 to me, and my favorite.

Oh my gosh, how perfect! The eyes really do make a huge difference. Can't wait to see more pictures with the rest of the outfits. I used to LOVE American Girl dolls when I was younger - this is like some crazy combination of two obsessive phases in my life, hahah.

I do have some mix 'n match clothes for her.

I have a pair of brown dress pants, two button down shirts (blue and white), a couple of cardigans, jeans similar to the ones in the Beach Games episode, along with a similar bathing suit and tank top. I also have white keds for her. And naturally the whole cat costume.

I am also getting made: Casino night dress, grey skirt, black skirt and her pink peacoat. I am still on the look out for other "Pamish" clothes items

I love that you're making a Pam doll, Jordyn! My daughter also has an AG doll and she looks just like yours, hazel eyes and honey-blond hair! she's also an OT fan, I'll have to ask her if we can dress her up for the premier as Pam. (though my husband will definitely think I'm nuts).

I also want to see the CN dress and other items.

Maybe when you're all done, you could take a picture of her in the CN outfit, send a couple prints to Jenna and ask if she could sign one photo and return it? It's worth a try.

I like the idea of taking photos and mailing them to Jenna and seeing if she would sign them-but it would completely awesome to get the doll autographed as well.

Unfortunately, I can't edit my original post...but here is my Casino Night version that just arrived. Pam is already in it Amazingly, it is VERY similar to my prom dress in high school-all my formal dresses in high school and college were that color lavender.
