OMG! It's Daphne!

Well, I wonder what the Morrocan's power was. He replicated the painting, but... what happened when he was caught by the two people?
Rapidwhirl
He replicated the painting, yet also phased. It's probably spatial manipulation, making something be in two places at once, and making himself not really be where it looks like he is.

I liked it, but I wish it was placed in chronological order.
MysteryMachine
I may be missing something here, But I only saw the Morrocan use one ability; Phasing.

I am pretty sure that the package Daphne was carrying was a copy of the originial; probably stolen from the museum gift shop.

Daphne needed the Morrocan to phase the paintings through the glass.

I think we have recieved a clue about Daphne's power. I do not think that she just moves fast. I think that she manipulates time in a limited fashion by speeding things up.

How else would the Morrocan have been able to do his part? If he was not also moving at superspeed; the entire exchange would have taken place before he could think or use a power.

Not a bad GN. Much better then last week.Only 7 more untill the show starts

While this was another "fun" novel, I must say that the writing could've been better. For example, the painting switch. There's just no reason the camera should've picked up anything. Whether it's time freezing or superspeed, a simple disposable camera shouldn't catch it. And there were other confusing/odd moments like that.

So, she's more like Hunter Zolomon than Wally West. Odd, but interesting. Guess that might factor into her future interactions with Hiro.

Umm....that wasn't a disposable camera. It was a digital.

And...how is this whole thing about the Moroccans ability confusing? He phased. That was it. Period.

Any trained artist could replicate a painting, at least well enough to fool the standard museum visitor.

Daphne's ability is speed. Again, that's it. Why is this hard to understand?

I am not claiming that Daphne does not have super speed. I am simply wondering if; like so many other powers, There may be more to her power than we have seen.

How was the Moroccan able to function? He should have been as helpless as any other human being.

Why was Daphne able to lug the Moroccan around like he was a change purse? The Moroccan probably weighed twice what she does.

Super Speed is Super Speed. Kind of like Flight, there's not a lot of room for it to include anything else.

Why would anyone have been helpless when moving at those speeds?

Considering the hundred and one ways I can think of, including the easiest out of having most of his body phased with the exception of what she actually held, I'd say it's not a problem.
Maniacal
The art was not misleading...

Daphe had a copy of the painting, that she ripped the packaging off of. She placed the copy behind the glass while Samir took the original from within the glass case. He held her so she would be intangible as well. No duplication power was used.

Also, I can understand how some people did not understand, at first, that she could toss him around like nothing... BUT He's seen floating down into the sewer... therefore... he was probably like a Balloon she was running with.

I like the theory above that "he" also had to moving at Super Speed in order for them to be virtually undetected as he removed the painting. She Speeds herself up and those around her.

It "looks" like time has stood still. I wonder what will happen when she uses her power while Hiro uses his! Should be interesting.

I also wonder if this'll be tied into the Yamagato Fellowship site.
ChaosTheory
Doesn't it seem like she could easily be stopped by tripping or running into something going that fast? I think I'd probably hit so much stuff and get hurt if I had super speed.

Well, a common explanation—in comics, anyway—is that speedsters have a sort of enhanced system of senses and reflexes, especially when running. To the same token, Nathan would probably need something similar. Beyond that, a certain degree of enhanced durability can be presumed.

Interesting. That wasn't Bob...

The big debate seems to be over who is waiting outside Daphne's apartment... Well, if you didn't recognize this person it's because you weren't supposed to (sorry, but it's definitely not Bob)! I don't know how much I can say-- but it is someone you will see again (but not for awhile), so keep your eyes peeled. Micah was given a photo reference to draw from and I think he did a great job rendering that person. The last thing I'll say about him is that he's NOT affiliated with Primatech... hmmm...

Possibly this Pinehurst that we've been hearing about?
