Since it's on at the same time of the first Cleveland Browns preseason game, does this mean that viewers in Cleveland won't get to see the LCS finale? I've watched the whole season so far, and I'm going to be upset if I don't get to see the last show.

Finale pre-empted?

i live in the NYC metro area and have NBC4....i was looking at my digital cable programming guide and noticed that the NY Giants preseason game is scheduled for the LCS time slot

has anybody seen this? is my tv wrong? nothing i found on NBC mentions the game moving the finale....i noticed LCS is playing at 3am on friday (thurs "night") but its not the full 2 hour time slot...

i want to see the full, real finale!! i've watched and begun to love these comedians since the beginning, how could they pre-empt the final!!!!

again, if you have seen any info about this, pleeeeeease let me know

that would be a local thing, not a NBC wide thing.

season finale 2008, pre-empted in Cleveland - Browns game!

FYI: Channel 3 wkyc in Cleveland will show the finale Fri. at 3 a.m. (that's later the same night).

It's a local thing. The finale has been preempted in Baltimore as well. dry.gif

It's not going to be on in Minnesota, or SD, either. Does anybody know how we can find out IF/WHEN the last episode will air? I've been watching the whole season, if it's never aired, I don't think I will watch next year.

You probably need to check your local listings to see if it is being aired at another time.

Try TV Guide or Zap2it.

I would guess at some point it would also be available on NBC Rewind.

Edited to add:
Last week's episode (611) is now available, so perhaps this week's episode will be online next Thursday.

I called NBC in New York where it has been pre-empted by football to complain. I think everyone who is as upset as I am should phone and complain. I was told I can watch it at 3 am. I've followed the program and worked my schedule so I'd be home to see the finale. It's really unfair to string you along show after show and then to not show the final show is a slap in the face. They should have known about the football games and rescheduled the finale in prime-time for local followers.

It is not just New York. I really pissed off - in Massachusetts they are show an exposition game of Patriots football. I am also lodging a complaint. It is so ridiculous.

In New York zap2it shows a 60 minute finale after the game but instead they are airing another episode of Americas Got Talent. Hopefully they will explain it!

you missed ntohing the show was awfula nd then Eliza won to top it off and her routine toinght was bad. Marcus was not much better but still a little better

I'm surprised after all the promotion and a whole season of build -up, that NBC would be dumb enough to lose the New York and Cleveland markets for this show. Huge blunder. The companies that paid for advertising must be flipping. I'm a fan, and what a disappointment to have to log on to see who won.

I sent a nasty email both to NBC and NBC Sports. How DARE they do this to us???!!! My kids and I have watched the WHOLE season, and I've watched EVERY season!!! What colossal <bad word> thought that football was a better idea than LCS??!! NBC may very well have lost another viewer. Luckily, there's not much on their network that's worth watching anyway.

I'm not sure they'll do anything... you probably won't even get a response from them. I'm in Chicago, and a pre-season Bears game was on at the same time as LCS... but luckily FOX was broadcasting the game instead of NBC. Hopefully, you'll be able to see the episode... if not, you probably can download it online.

Yeah, two weeks from now.

What's been the deal with that, anyway?

I was hinting that you could just search for the episode elsewhere online, but I don't think it is on the Internet quite yet... you'll probably have to give it a few more hours.

There probably is some sort of legal reason why NBC has to delay posting episodes online for a week or two.

Not sure what sort of legal reasons they may have. They have The Office up on-line the next day.

I remember the South Park website was at first posting new episodes of South Park right after they aired, but then they delayed when the episodes could be available on their website by, I believe, a week or two.

So for LCS, I thought that maybe the episode needed to be aired on all of their affiliates/associated networks around the world before it could be available online. I do feel that the episodes for any show should be available online one day after it regularly airs... doing so will increase the number of viewers following the show.

Why doesn't NBC care about its viewers? The finale was pre-empted in NY (once AGAIN--as it was in a previous season) and we didn't see the results. (I finally watched the very end on line--very anticlimactically--on Aug. 12th) I won't invest my time and interest in a show (I had watched every episode previously) to be cheated a THIRD time. Next year, I'll pass. NBC blew it this time.
