Judging is turned over to the American viewing audience. Jerry Springer hosts and David Hasselhoff, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne also star.

David says it's a tough choice to choose who to vote for. Nah, it wasn't! XD Jessica got all ten of those. Hope she makes it. Everyone seems to have voted for Neil looking at these boards.

Honesty, It was easy for me and as long as Derrick Berry doesn't make it through I'll be happy. But of course he/she/it will go through.

Wow, that was tough to watch, but I believe they made the right choice with The James Gang.

what Happend with eli mattson ... he supposed to perfom tonight but they not show him in the previews

The first act had some very good energy out there. I enjoyed them. That song is no doubt, catchy so that kind of helped me like them.

Tonight has started off better than last night with the dance act. Beyond Belief Dance Company had a bit more energy than Extreme Dance FX. I agree with the person above me that the song was catchy but still not as catchy as the song they used in there audition.

I missed the first half-hour. Can someone tell me which 5 acts from last night made it to the next round? I'm sure Neal made it, but who were the other four?

I admired the thoughtfulness tonight of the James Gang when they won over Elite. They didn't jump up and down and scream and yell bc they had won. They were very caring towards her feelings and her sadness of not winning. Comforting her and making her feel good for the preformances she had given was more important to them than basking in their own glory. It showed tremendous couth. I hope they do well in the competition!

Paul wasn't bad. Though, I'm not as impressed as the judges are. I liked the first act better. I can't wait for Queen Emily too.

I too signed up just to find out why Eli was not mentioned to be on tonight's show. *Sigh*. I have waited for weeks just to hear Eli again.

The only thing that I could think of was that the teaser preview they gave last night was for all of the more popular acts. Not just the ones that were going to be performing tonight. It was never said who was going to be performing tonight...we all just assumed that it would be Eli since he was shown in the preview. As well as Kaitlyn.

Really excited for Neal and Jessica. Lukewarm on the James Gang and Extreme Dance FX. Not really wild about Cadence at all, but hey, it's better than the alternatives I suppose.

Kazual was not good at all. Worst of the night so far. I stopped watching halfway.

David - I'd like to tell you how I appreciate your enthusiasm with all the acts you see. You also call it the way you have to at times. Most of the time I agree with you. Your passion for what you're doing clearly shows through. In fact, I honestly LOVE all you judges (even Piers). I have no idea if you can pass along a message to Sharon, but when Neal E. Boyd sang Nessun Dorma, one of her comments was how she loved that song. I found a clip on youtube.com that I'm sure all 3 of you judges would like to see. I remember that Piers was impressed with Paul Potts on Britain's Got Talent, singing the same song.

If you go to youtube.com and do a video search for Cliff McCormick, I think you'll see a clip of Nessun Dorma you would ALL like. I have no connection with Mr. McCormick at all, I was just searching youtube.com for Nessun Dorma and found that.

I would like to see Cliff appear on America's Got Talent singing that song with a full orchestra or orchestral tape.

In closing, I can't imagine having to judge all those talented performers and making the decisions you do. I simply cannot miss your show so I tape it if I have to.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND THE EXCELLENT SHOW. I commend NBC for the show.

Alright, So Paul was alright. I'm not to fond of Impersonators but I have to admit he was dead on with the impersonation. It just goes down to...Is he worth a million dollars? And I have to say no he's not.

Kazual was....How do I put this nicely? Not that great. Was way better during the audition but this time around I was really disappointed.

Zooperstars: I'm just like Piers....I think they are unfunny and shouldn't even be in the top 40. I highly doubt that they will make it through and I can't wait for them to be voted off. But What do I know?

Piers saying shut up was pure gold! XD The British comment the Zooperstars made was funny. They were just plain hilarious. I loved the part where they swallowed the person. XD I'm not sure this is talent though.

i agree they are funny but would you pay vegas money to see them?

Nah, I probably wouldn't pay to see the Zooperstars in Vegas. They gave me a good laugh though. The Wright Kids. I think they are way too young to go on that stage. I wished they waited longer for their voices to develop. I hear potential, but they aren't there yet. I really just don't like any singers that young in competitions this big really.

I just thought I would tell David that perhaps after tonight, 8/27, he should visit England or at least study their music. Then he would learn that Daydream Believer was sung by the Monkeys and not The Partridge Family, haha.

He was comparing the kids to the Partridge Family, not the song they were singing...

Ugh, I don't get WHY the Zooperstars are an "American" thing? I'm American and I don't get it either. I think they're great for a half-time show, as one of the judges said. They are ridiculous and are not talented- they are just silly.

Anyway, it's really annoying how the audience boos every time any of the judges gives criticism. It's criticism- it can't be ALL flowers and cupcakes! It's REALITY. Duh.

I do like the way the group (I can't remember their name now) carried off the little girl. That was sweet, but I also think the judges made the right call. Besides, she's probably got offers coming left and right by now.

I love Piers. I don't care what anyone says.

Got to agree with Piers. No singers deserve a show of their own in Las Vegas so far. The acts tonight seem a bit better than last night, but not by much. Neal has this in the bag up to this point, no doubt about it.

Daniel Jens did pretty good. He didn't wear a military outfit. Good. It kind of felt like he wore them to get the military vote. Now I know he isn't wearing them on purpose. He was good, but not amazing. I agree with Piers mostly.

The Slippery Kittens. I can totally imagine them in Vegas and they were pretty entertaining. One of the better ones tonight.

Again.... where's Kaitlyn and Eli? Why'd they switch?

George The Giant was.......interesting. That wasn't talent at all and was just plain silly. I loved the looks on the judges though. XD It's not talent and I hope he doesn't go through. I really don't want to see him do anything else as dangerous as his audition weeks.

Who change ??? I wait all day for eli ... I watch the audition video of him almost all day.. waiting to see him tonight .. and I don't understand what happend ...?? but some show from today I don't think theat deserve be in the top 40 but is my opinion....I just want to see eli...

Waste of time, indeed, George the Giant! Who ever stands with him in the results show should have a VERY good feeling about moving on...lol.

We were all told that America would decide the top 20...but the vote totals were never announced for the winners or the losers...AND the judges voted for the 5th position on 8/27/08. If the judges were
deciding, why did they vote that night ? Do our votes not count ? Is it just a gimmick to keep us
watching ? C'mon....where are the totals ????

This is so difficult because you have to choose across such different areas- how do you compare a singer to a 21-member dance troupe to a trombone-playing-dancing fool!?! Argh! It's craziness!

Queen Emily was the only worthwhile act tonight. The other nine acts should all be voted off. It's very obvious that the judges put some really weak acts into the top 40.

It's unfortunate that the show is likely to turn into another singing competition.

ok, so pierce doesnt like them.... what does he know? hes only famous for what attempting to work with trump?? come on now. he never likes anyone who is outside the box...

i think they were hilarious today! that freakin duck! haha he always falls down and its so funny, and i loved the snail thingy or whatever eating the guy. that was so original. i hope they get back i want to see what else theyre gonna do.
