I am so sick of hearing how Marlena is the diva of Salem, the matriarch, the champion for all the good girls of soapdom. In reality she's a spoiled, manipulative, crazy, hyprocrite. After all John went through with her and Dr. North, Marlena was determined to "get John back" but the second she realized the new John didn't like taking orders, she suggested a divorce.

She has been a god awful mother to Sami. She has taken Carrie's side every single time when Carrie isn't even her daughter, even when Carrie is 2 for 2 on adultery. Marlena never misses a chance to tell Sami how disappointed in her she is, but did Marlena say anything to Carrie about her behavior? Nope. And I HATE how Marlena answers Roman when he says he has news about Sami, "What's she done now?" She has been on the straight and narrow for two years now, is an adult mother of three and Marlena won't let it go. She won't let Sami grow or grow up. She is partly to blame for Sami's issues, making her feel like an outcast, unloved...Marlena began putting someone else in front of Sami starting with John. And it's never changed.

Marlena is the biggest freaking hypocrite EVER. There are so many instances, but recently when she told John not to hurt Stefano, to let the authorities take care of it...well, that was just pathetic. There's no other word for it.

I'm really tired of her pretending to be pristine when it comes to wrong doing, because if everyone's cards were layed down....Marlena Evans Brady Black North Black would have some of the dirtiest cards.

Sign me up. I've hated Marlena for years now. Her behavior with New John has been horrible. He deserves better.

I love watching marlena in a coma. I hope she stays this way for a very long time.

Marlena is so similar to Stefano, but everyone in Salem thinks she's different. They are fighting over who will control John. Stefano calls him "My Pawn" and Marlena calls him "My John." Neither of them wants John to be the man he really is without their influence. Both of them have "pets" too. Stefano has Dr. Rolf to confide in, get his missions accomplished, and keep him out of prison. Marlena uses Roman for these things.

They parent their children in the same ways (withholding love when displeased, making their children prove their loyalty, and playing favorites).

Even the way Marlena put Stefano into a coma instead of killing him seemed like something Stefano would do. She took pleasure in the fact that he'd live out the remainer of his life in a coma. This goes beyond simply protecting her family.

Im not an anti Marlena fan, but im not here to start problems, and anti thread is an antithread.

I just wanted to say that that made a lot of sense. Marlena is, in relation to those things, like Stefano.

so many anti-threads it's nice to find one I can call my home.

I can't wait until she hits the road.

I just hate that the writers insist she take John with her. sad.gif
