Ok, so far I have absolutely no reason to prefer this over bittorrent. Good LORD this is full of bugs.
Running Vista Ultimate, IE 7 (cause FF3 won't even work at all with it). My major issues thus far are:
1) Fear Itself: Community: I got halfway through the episode, which lags really bad, and then it says Windows Media Player won't recognize the extension .wmv? I had to start the whole episode over, which leads to number 2.
2) No fast forward? Ok, the 2x ffwd is not fast forward. I was halfway through the show when it died on me so now I have to play through 15 minutes of ffwd to get to where I was? No 4x, 8x, or just click for your place in the video? Stupid idea guys. NO one is going to prefer this player if you can't ffwd/rwd episodes.
3) Shows lag in HD. I've got 4GB of ram and a machine that would make a nasa engineer jealous, so it's not a PC issue. The video seems to lag just a tiny bit, but enough to notice.
4) Episode selection sucks. If I want to download Fear Itself, I should be able to click "season 1" then see a list episodes. Download. Click. Download Click. It should be that easy. I'm a PC tech and it's even complicated for me to use.. forget getting the mom's and pop's onboard with this.
Anyone else having these issues or know any corrections for them?

I also have issues watching shows. Constantly freezes up. On one computer, running Windows XP SP3, shows freeze every 40-45 seconds. I have to move the time-position slider back and forth to unfreeze it. Same issue in IE7, Firefox 3, and Google Chrome. I've reinstalled Adobe Flash Player 9, no change.
Exact same issues on another computer, a laptop running Windows XP SP2, all the same browsers.

Same here...geez, if the writing on "Heroes" itself isn't confusing the heck out of me, trying to figure it out with blips and frozen spots every 30 seconds while trying to veiw it on NBC.com sure is doing the job!
Come on NBC tech guys, this can't be fixed already? It was lousy last year as well so it's not new or anything. You promote watching the episodes online, but then we get this low quality player to view them. Not cool.

My Direct player automatically goes from one commercial to the next, I'm assuming skipping chapters as it goes. I can assure you I will never buy a Lenovo, because of the association with massive techical problems with the forum advertising it. Could someone get started on an update to the direct player? I would watch the shows directly from NBC.com but no matter what I do it says the adware on my computer is keeping the show from playing. Extremely frusterating.
