Is anyone else heading for the hills if the story goes this way? I've been watching for over 20 years and this show has always been the best at character driven couples stories. Perhaps they are trying to win new viewers with more storyline based writing, but they will alienate the fans that have stuck around all these years. What a shame...

I agree that if they go completely away from this couple I do not want to watch any longer, but I just don't believe that is going to happen. They have to give couples issues to deal with, this is one of their issues. Kan/Date aren't going to last they have nothing in common other than Chelsea and Kate getting sick all the time. They are quite boring together and it won't last. Chelsea is Daniels soul mate. The show has made it really clear lately that Daniel loves Chelsea and doesn't want to lose her. Keep the faith!

I'm in. I will completely stop watching Days, and quit recording it if Daniel and Chelsea are through.

As a viewer of more than 15 years, I am disgusted that Ken Corday/the writers are seemingly ending the Daniel & Chelsea romance to move forward with Daniel and Kate. First, Daniel and Kate have zero chemistry- unless you classify an off camera roll in the hay as chemistry. To date, their only conversations have revolved around keeping Chelsea in the dark regarding their sexcapade and a really pathetic flashback to show how they got together. How that equals chemistry escapes me. Secondly, Date supporters claim that Daniel and Kate ooze sexiness. Sorry, but I don't see Daniel acting attracted to Kate in any way. Kate on the other hand, could "ooze sexiness" with a sack of potatoes. LK speaks in a soft, seductive voice with every man she shares the screen with- including Phillip and Lucas!! I just don't see the chemistry that is being touted. Daniel and Chelsea, however, at least have something to build upon. I don't agree that their relationship is classified as "insta-love" as some have said. They first met back in February, and have been growing from that point. Their first date wasn't until the end of June. I don't understand why the writers would create such a beautiful love story between these two, and then abruptly end it and do a complete 180. I know there are those who don't like this pairing, but there are people who dislike many other couples on the show as well. How come those couples don't get shelved?? I think that if there is any truth to this spoiler, TPTB will be doing a tremendous disservice to the fans who have invested in this pairing. I have watched and tolerated ALOT with Days over the years, but to completely do away with Daniel and Chelsea and try to erase several months worth of growing a sweet relationship- that would be the final straw for me. I am hoping that my loyalty to this show does not end, and I'm praying that Daniel and Chelsea fans come out and make it known that this is a couple worth saving!

I hate Daniel, and Kate they are sick.I hate everytime they are on the screen together. I will not watch them together so I guess I will be ff alot of the show.

I think they are worth saving, and I think we need to let the writers know we are not going to settle for Daniel and Kate they have zero chemistry.

Just when they find a couple that has that "IT" factor, they go and do something like this. When you find two actors that have that much chemistry, and work so well together, a writer should use them to their advantage. Oh NO, but what do they do, they toss them to the side. They have Daniel/Chelsea and EJ/Sami and all they do is waste their good talent on storylines like this.

I agree totally,i'm done too.. The storylines have been horrible for a long time,then they finally..finally..get a great couple,and they screw it! That producer is whacked. I'm going back full time to watching One Life To Live.

I cant believe that they are entertaining the very thought of Daniel with Kate. Chemistry?? Are you kidding me?. I will be turning off if they put them together....

Even if the writers are trying to give Daniel and Chelsea some space to deal with what's happened, to pair Daniel back with Kate is not the way to do it. I WILL NOT watch the two of them together. I will be long gone once that starts to happen.
I too have been a 20 year plus watcher and stopped watching last year only to be brought back with such a wonderful love story of Daniel and Chelsea.
To throw all those romantic scenes away is the worst thing they can do.
I plan on writing the show to let them know exactly how I feel, then I'm done with Days.

Thanks for the message boards fellow fans - I only started writing on these boards because of Daniel and Chelsea, and I've enjoyed getting my daily dose of them.

I guess it's back to reality for me now. It was so nice having "me" time at night where I could relax and watch my taped show. I guess I'll have to get back into Y&R or something.

As I said in the Daniel and Chelsea, Love in the Afternoon thread, the writers are making a BIG mistake.
I have watched Days for over 20 years. I stopped watching a year ago only to be brought back by the Daniel and Chelsea love story. I've taped every show only because of these 2. I have never joined any message boards or written into the Days writers before but have done all of that because of these 2 characters. I thought they did a wonderful job and the chemistry between Chelsea and Daniel is undeniable. If anyone thinks there is chemistry between Daniel and Kate, they're obviously not watching the same scenes that I am.

I will not continue to watch the writers pair Daniel with Kate. There was finally the makings of a supercouple in Daniel and Chelsea, and to throw away the past 8 months of this storyline is crazy! Their romantic dates and scenes are what Days was made of years ago with Bo and Hope and Kayla and Patch and I thought it was wonderful that they were getting back to the reason I started watching in the first place.

As soon as the Chelsea/Daniel story is over, I will not watch any longer. This was the one show I looked forward to after a long day, and it's very upsetting to see the writers throw all of that away!

I will be writing into the show to give my opinion, then I'm done. Thanks for the message boards. I've enjoyed reading them and only joined them after I fell in love with the Daniel and Chelsea storyline.

MY main issue is the degradation of a family relationship. DAYS has always been about family. Even Stefano is a family man. I cannot abide by a grandmother knowingly hurting her granddaughter this way. And if she has any sort of romantic relationship with Dr. DAn at this point that is excactly what she would be doing - hurting her grandchild. It is such a heinous thought. I have been a KAte fan for years, and I know she has made questionable choices over the years, but never has she been this cruel to someone she loved. I don't know what the show is thinking. And I don't know how LK, who is a mom, can live with playing a character that would do something like this.

I agree with everything your guys said and that Daniel and Chelsea are one of my favorite couple that have chemistry just like jude and tommy have from insant star ,just like this story tommy is older then jude and they fell for eachother ,just like colleen and adrian of the y&r have when Adrianne Leon was colleen ,but **** kate and dan do not have chemistry , she can die too, i won't care just stay away from Daniel and Chelsea ,ms **** kate

I am still in shock that TPTB would chose a s/l like this!! What are they thinking? It is so disgusting and morally offensive!! Why should I continue to watch if they are going to promote something like this? I thought Days was supposed to be about strong family ties and bonds? That was one of the main reasons I watched!! Obviously they aren't going that way anymore! Daniel and Chelsea were the real deal!! They ARE the real deal!!

I am with you all, Dansea belongs together. This will be the end for me. I have not been so hooked on a s/l like I am with them. I have been watch Days for about 20 years and it will be the end of Days for me if they can't be toghether.

I have been a Days viewer since I was 13, Bo and Hope were my first couple to fall in love with. It took two years but I finally got to watch them become the soul mates they were meant to be. Since then I have watched Days put amazing couples together and remember them all like it was yesterday. I have never watched another daytime soap, DOOL is my only one. On March 3rd, 2008 I witnessed another incredible couple in the making, Daniel and Chelsea had me hooked that first day just like Bo and Hope and now I here they may not continue with them. What a waste of good talent in Rachel Melvin and Shawn Christian, a couple with this kind of chemistry and connection deserve to have their love story told.

Not only am I upset that Days doesn't know a good honest to god classic love story but they have also forgotten what kind of show that Ted and Betty Corday created many years ago. Remember Tom and Alice Horton, the show had family values, family meant everything and now Ken Corday has the gall to let a storyline progress that involves a grandmother sleeping with her granddaughters boyfriend. The first time it happened with a mother I kind of ignored it but this time I can't. If DOOL continues with this story, for the first time since I was a little girl I will stop watching and find another soap on ABC or CBS. I cannot condole this type of story telling it is offensive, disgusting and goes against everything my mother ever taught me.

Kate and Chelsea had a wonderful relationship and now just for some ratings the show is going in a direction to where it says that it is okay for mothers and grandmothers to bed their granddaughters and daughters boyfriends. Come on Days wake up, Daniel and Chelsea have the potential to turn into something great and not to mention you are raping the many fans that have come to love this couple with all their heart and would forever stay true not only to Daniel and Chelsea but would be true to Days.

ITA with you. I've been watching for a while now and if they get rid of this couple, I'm not even wasting my time to watch. They are the best thing thats happened to Days in a long time and for it to get messed up like this is just wrong. I'm not watching unless I get Dansea forever. Period. End Of Sentance.

I am a huge fan of DOOL--especially the Chelsea/Daniel storyline. I love this couple. They are so cute together, lots of on-screen chemistry, and so much fun to watch. They have really enhanced the show and have the potential for being the next supercouple. I hope that the DAYS writers will continue to develop this storyline because they add so much to the show and I really look forward to the days when they are on. If the writers break up this couple I'll be returning to "One Life to Live."

I can't watch if they don't get Dan/Chels back together soon. Friday's show broke my heart. The only caring woman Chelsea has left in her life is Hope, I wonder how they will mess that relationship up now. They are meant to be! I am keeping the faith!

I am not sure if Mr. Corday watches the show with his eyes open b/c Daniel and Kate have no chemistry. In fact they are nauseating!!!! The only thing worse than no Daniel and Chelsea is Daniel and Kate. So far Daniel has shown mostly annoyance w/ Kate as a person. Other than when he is heavily intoxicated.

I personally plan on just checking in here and also read spoilers and stuff. Until I see that they have realized that Dansea has a strong fan base,and put them back together where they belong! I was pretty much done with the show before Chelsea and Daniel(they are what kept me sticking around) But I'm done now,and going back full time to watching OLTL. I will NOT Watch Daniel with Kate!!!

I've been watching Days for 30+ years and Daniel and Chelsea are the best couple to ever grace this show. They have picked up the torch passed by Doug and Julie and are carrying it admirably. However, should the writers and producers continue to offer proof of their lack of brain cells and separate this couple, I will stop watching Days.

I watched Days years ago when Don Craig was with Marlena. When they ended that couple I quit watching. I started watching again because of Daniel and Chelsea and now they are doing it to me again. If they break them up, I will TUNE OUT AGAIN!!

I will watch Friday's episode where Daniel tells Hope that he still loves Chelsea (we can only pray that Hope tells him to go after her....won't happen, but we can dream), then I'm done.

I've already written into the show to tell them to realize when the viewership numbers drop, it's because they messed up with this storyline.

I will read the spoilers each week, and only when they put Daniel and Chelsea back together will I start watching again.

I work from home so for me watching "Days" before Daniel and Chelsea was just something I did while taking a lunch break. I was rather indifferent to the other storylines... could care less with who was sleeping around, who was being betrayed, the neverending vendetta, etc. Once Daniel and Chelsea's storyline came into play, I was hooked. One o'clock in the afternoon became MANDATORY. I was excited and looked forward to seeing them, and was disappointed when they weren't on. I can't explain what changed, why this particular storyline, but there was "something" that I hadn't seen for a very, very long time.

From this point on I will most definitely be a Shawn Christian fan (I was completely oblivious to who he was prior to "Days"). As for Rachel, I will always be a fan of hers as well. I think she is a very talented young actress with a bright future outside of "Days". She's one of the few actresses (next to Diedra Hall) who, once the tears start falling, have me balling like a baby.

Things have kinda changed now. I am so caught up in this storyline, this love story, that I am 100% sure I could not be supportive of pairing Daniel with Kate, or with putting Chelsea with another. Nope. I probably will tune out altogether.

The way things have been going on this show in many of the storylines, I have a gutwrenching feeling that "Days" will be meeting end-of-days very soon. I hope not for the rest of the fans out there who are caught up in their own favorite storelines. But I have to ask, "What is going on over there?" Most of us are left scratching our heads trying to make sense of the mess the writers have created. I don't know... I honestly don't.

Well said. Like I have said before they are the only reason i really tune in to days anymore. I have been watching for like 23 years and I am happy they finally got a couple worth watching and now they are thinkng of getting rid of them how stupid!!! That is like committing writer suicide!!! If they care at all about their long time fans they will keep them together!!!

I totally agree with everything on here. I've grown up watching Days of our lives (I'm in my 40's) and for the first time in a LONG time I looked forward to watching Days because of the pairing of Chelsea and Daniel. I was bored with Chelsea and Nick. (I might add that my 19 year old daughter feels the same about both things) Now after this past week and reading that for some unknown reasons tbtb seem to think Daniel and Kate should be paired I actually dread watching. That makes me sick. Chelsea and Daniel are a wonderful couple with a very sweet loving relationship that is a joy to watch. I'm currently going through a divorce and it was nice to watch (even though I know it's only t.v.) a wonderful couple who could very well bring Days around like Luke and Laura did for GH. (Oh and there was an age difference there also). Kate and Daniel have ZERO chemistry, Kate makes me sick! If Daniel and Chelsea are done on Days, I am done with Days! Mr. Corday, who says he likes to give the fans what they like should look at the majority of the polls (if not all) on the soap websites and read what the fans have to say. I think he'd see that what the vast majority of us want is to see Chelsea and Daniel together!!

After seeing the spoiler for Wed, Oct 15th, I've decided that's it for me. I've stuck around the last month to see if the writers actually heard all of us that have written in regarding the Dan/Kate/Chelsea storyline. They've pretty much murdered the Dansea storyline and all Dansea supporters and most Dansea haters have said they don't want Dan with Kate. This storyline makes me want to throw up. How can they have Daniel tell Victor that he hasn't felt this way about anyone (in reference to Chelsea) since his wife and that he wasn't giving up on her, then have him be intimate with Kate without even trying to reconcile with Chelsea?!
How can I invest my time in a show that flip flops so much? No storyline is believeable or genuine anymore. I've watched Days for over 20 years, and I can't believe the mess that has become of it.
I'm sad to say that I will not be watching anymore. I will not even waste the space on my PVR to tape it anymore.
I wish all of you good luck if you choose to continue watching. I really hope they start getting the point soon. I'm pretty sure viewership will hit an all-time low soon.

From the beginning, the sl of Daniel and Chelsea was unique from your typical soap opera sl's. It caught the eye of many, long time Days viewers. Whether you like Dansea or not, the story of their relationship could of had different Bumps in the road. Their story, if nothing else, would of been different. However, Daniel and Chelsea have become your typical soap opera sl! I'm not sure, if the writers read or care what viewers think. I am truly disappointed in the turn of this sl. It leaves me wondering why the writers took the time over several months to develop a sl and then ruin it?

I agree they were so different from other s/l on soaps and I loved that about their story. I still think they are the story and that they will end up together. I LOVE SC, but I have not and will not watch the SC and LK scenes. I have and will ff through those and only keep up on any Dansea scenes.

I will stick with Days unless RM & SC leave the show. I'm waiting it out for Dansea to reunite. I think we haven't seen them in scenes together lately because Days knows if they have Kan and Dansea in the same room, Dansea's chemistry will shine through and take over. They are the best couple in daytime. They are amazing!
