thanks man! what about the song when he finds rachel - that is beautiful.

^ It's called 'spoiler code', you just hi-light it to see what's underneath. I just didn't want anyone innocently coming on here to check something before the official premiere and being spoiled about a scene or a song. Here's the list again:

201 Find Your Happy Place (tv broadcast)

"Devil's Playground" by Gram Rabbit. Bodies in trunks.
"Thundercats" by Shivaree. Strip club.
"Colleen" by The Heavy. Questioning John again; repeats as John chases off a customer & Reese & Crews check the invitations.
"Dream" by Priscilla Ahn. Finding Rachel.

*Did anyone else notice we have a new music supervisor? - Tricia Halloran... she used to do the music for Men In Trees.

What about the song that was playing on the killers head phones when he was taping up the boxes? Man it would be great if I could find out that song.

From the episode 110 "Dig A Hole" the song listed here during the party scene is "Fleur de Saison" by Emilie Simon.

In the reruns on hulu.com there is a new song in use (begins at 16:30), listen to it here if you're in the US http://www.hulu.com/watch/6687/life-dig-a-hole

The song is really good, anybody have any ideas? I've spend quite a while trying to pin it down, but even the lyrics are tough...

This lists the last song of the show as Dream by Priscilla Ahn, but I just watched the eppy on hulu and it doesn't match the lyrics. The song start " a million miles from anywhere, you start to find yourself" or something like that. Does anyone know what that song is? It's so beautiful.
Breezy508
So when the show starts there is a song when he is going up the escalator from the subway and they are opening the first trunk. It is not any of the songs listed and I've been going crazy trying to find it. No one is listing this song. .... "Hold on tight... the roller coaster's up and movin..." ???

SOMEONE HELP ME FIND THIS SONG... PLEASE!!!
taltos19
To the above two posters (and anyone else new to the show), NBC changes the music for their on-line version (this is if you watch it on NBC's Rewind OR Hulu). So far only the music from the tv broadcast has been identified.

When you guys are asking for IDs please note which version you're watching. And while lyrics are great, it would also help if you list a few other details, like if the singer is male or female, the type of music (rock, pop, rap, country, etc), dominant instruments, if it reminds you of a certain musician's work, etc. Not everyone (ie. anyone outside the US) can view the on-line version.

Last year most of the on-line replacement music appeared to be coming from Rescue Records, I'm not sure if that's still the case, but it would be a good place to start looking.
Breezy508
Thanks so much!!! It is from Rescue Records. Louise Fraser, Hold On...

Got ya. Interesting, and also a little annoying that they would do that. Thanks for suggesting Rescue Records, I think that I might be able to find it.

Update: the song playing at the end of the episode on the hulu and nbc.com version is "Communicate" by Oonagh Cassidy.
Awesome song, check it out!

Last season the music in the first episode was the same online and in the broadcast episode. They starting switching to cheaper music with the second episode. Has anyone checked out the online version of Everything...All the Time to see if they are again switching the music this season?

"Cue The Strings" is the correct song for the tv broadcast version. I'm guessing you're watching on-line, where they change the music.

It's already been confirmed that at least two of the songs in the first episode were changed, so the answer would be 'yes'.

I am looking for the song in the visiting Rachel and ex-wife's car scene. In the television version I believe it is Cue the Strings by Low, but I know that is not the song played on the online version. I really really want to find out as I can not find it only by googling the lyrics. Thank you so much!

OK, so Episode 203 "The Business of Miracles", what is the song in the last minute of the broadcast version? I couldn't tell for sure if it was male or female and it reminded me of a slow Moby song from the Play album.

I was watching the online version of Life at nbc.com (which has a different soundtrack than the one on television) and noticed a song I liked in the episode "Everything ... All the time" about 23 minutes in. I've been searching everywhere to no avail. The song played during the television version is "Cue the Strings" by Low but is not the one on the internet version. The following lyrics are the ones I was able to guess:

They love to hate you, don't let them break you
Can't last forever
You could be anything you wanted to
Nobody asked you what it felt like inside
Did you hate...
You did what you did to get by
I see your struggle, the sorrow look in your eyes

Really liked "I shall be free" by Kid Beyond so here's the lyrics to the full song:
QUOTE
"I Shall Be Free"

One day I went walkin’ down a lonesome road
And I came upon a stranger is some funky clothes
He said he was a soldier
I said, where’s your gun
He said, I don’t got no weapon and I don’t need one
I don’t need no weapon cause I don’t fight no war.
I said, well than, mister soldier, what you fighting for
Well he didn’t say nothin’
He just smiled at me
And then I heard him whisper
You shall be free.

Well excuse me mister
Are you sayin’ I ain’t free?
Well I don’t see no shackles or no chains on me
He said, we’re chained to our hatred
and shackled by greed
Too blind to see the wonder and they mystery
We got to love one another
Give our love so strong.
Love your brother man even when he treats you wrong
And when you love without limits
Unconditionally
When you love without fear
Then you shall be free

So I pried my heart open
As wide as the sea
And the strangest sensations came over me
I could see the clouds dancing
Felt a raindrop sting
I could hear the tiny feet and all the butterfly wings
As I sat in the middle
I felt this love unfold
Love too big for this body to hold
That day I became a warrior
With no enemy
Now I am that funky soldier and I shall be free

Now I ain’t afraid of living
And I ain’t scared to die
Cause I feel this vibration that I can’t deny
I can feel it singing through me
Like a symphony
And it tastes so sweet like destiny
It’s in everything I touch
Everything I see
It’s in every single fiber in my body
Every star
Every creature
Every leaf on every tree
Is a lesson and a blessing and we shall be free
I shall
I shall be free

Yes I am also very interested to know what song is in the online version of "not for nothing". It sounds like an old blues type song with harmonica. I had no idea they would use different songs for online episodes. It's definitely not the other songs listed for the episode.

I've been searching for this song from 203 "The Business of Miracles" as well... so far nothing, it's really good so that's kind of sad... Lyrics go something like this:

come and take my hand my darling
take my hand and walk with me
there is nothing we can't fight now
if we close our eyes and see
together we are flying
...
so you know that life is hard dear
and the world can bring you down
but if we hold on to each other
...
(yeah) together we are flying
together we are so complete

As I've said before, all the alternate (on-line) music appears to be coming from Rescue Records. Unfortunately, most of their artists aren't well known enough for you to be able to identify their songs through lyric searches. But the song you want is probably in there somewhere.

I've been searching for this song from 203 "The Business of Miracles" as well... so far nothing, it's really good so that's kind of sad... Lyrics go something like this:

come and take my hand my darling
take my hand and walk with me
there is nothing we can't fight now
if we close our eyes and see
together we are flying
...
so you know that life is hard dear
and the world can bring you down
but if we hold on to each other
...
(yeah) together we are flying
together we are so complete

I want to know who did this! I think it is really good. sad.gif

Yes I am also very interested to know what song is in the online version of "not for nothing". It sounds like an old blues type song with harmonica. I had no idea they would use different songs for online episodes. It's definitely not the other songs listed for the episode.

You have no idea how hard it was to find this song! It always seems like I fall in love with the hardest songs to find haha.

The song can be found at the Rescue Records site. The song is "Youth Today" by Tyrone K Sullivan.

So it seems the song is actually called "Flying" written by "Terence Fontaine", you can listen to it on http://www.sonicquiver.com/#/library/ – just look for the disc called "This is indie"

After all, not everything from the online-version can be found on RescueRecords.net

Thx
