I used to watch the episodes and wish that President Bartlet was our actual Commander in Chief. He is what we need right now fictional character or not. Someone who surrounded himself with the "best and the brightest" not a bunch of sycophants. A man who knew when to take public opinon and when not. Someone who knew elite wasn't a bad word no matter how much the other party said it was. A man driven by conviction and faith, but also knowing that he shouldn't legislate those who didn't believe the way he did into his faith.
