So we all have heard that Amy Ryan is only contracted for six episodes this season and that there were apparently no intentions to bring her back. However, with Baby Shower's ending I'm really curious as to how she'll exit the show. I mean, Michael and Holly obviously have great chemistry together so I don't see why things couldn't work out.
Let's hear your guys' predictions on what will happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if David Wallace makes her leave the branch when he finds out that they're dating.
Michael and Jan was a disaster for him and the company, so Michael involved with anyone else from there, especially the same branch, is a liability
I also think that they'll have a long distance relationship for awhile. And at some point she'll break it off. I don't know.

This all makes sense to me except I don't think she'll break it off...I think it will all depend on how Amy Ryan fits in with the show...I mean if she wants to commit to it or not. But I think(I hope) an ambiguous door will be left open
If Amy Ryan wants to do the show I don't think the relationship will be ended ...although I think I remember that what has been said is that the story will pretty much be wrapped up with no loose ends so that makes me think it will be some kind of emotional departure(I hope not though what
Bailey08 said is what I want to believe)

Well regardless, we've known for four seasons now that the writers like to leave the viewers satisfied (except for I guess season four's finale). If Amy Ryan does leave emotionally, it might not be the worst thing as long as they really nail it. I honestly don't think something funny or abrupt would work with Holly, and I don't think the writers would do that either.
I guess all we can do for now is speculate until episode six rolls around.

Abrupt could work depending on what it is...if she has the type of melt down that Jan had in The Job it could work on a number of levels(the meltdown I'm assuming is telling David Wallace off)...it could be funny but it could also leave the door open for Michael and Holly to have a future as a couple...although I don't think it's in Holly's nature as a character to willfully cause an ugly scene. So ultimately I think her being transfered to Utaca or something with Michael and Holly still seeing each other long distance would be the most plausible resolution...for now at least.
Whatever happens this storyline definitely has my primary attention.

"Holly and Michael take the long trip to Nashua after they get some shocking news from corporate".
It sounds like she is going to be transfered, prolly after it is discovered that they are an item like someone already mentioned. Not sure what going to New Hampshire has to do with it all.
Its a shame that Amy Ryan is leaving the show as I think she's a great addition to the cast. I guess transfering her is a smart move if they ever want to bring her back like Karen working in the Utica branch. Also that allows Jan to remain in Michael's life; which would be more conflicting had Holly stuck around.

Well, the "shocking news from corporate" could be that Holly's getting transferred because of her relationship with Michael, or it could just be that she's getting transferred because Toby's coming back to Scranton. He would have to get rehired through corporate before he could return. And I would really love to see Michael's dealings with Toby after that, given that he already hates him and now he'd be the reason that Holly had to leave. We know that Toby is returning, so it seems like this could be the case.
Kristin from E! teased that she's not quite sure that Holly will truly be done after 6 episodes based on some interaction with the showrunner about a week ago (I can't find the source again), so I think a long distance relationship might be in the works. As much as I like them together, I always feel that episodes involving Jan are the best episodes (Dinner Party anyone?), so if they need to get Holly out of the way so that Jan can be in the picture, that's fine with me.

That makes a lot of sense to me. Aside from the end of the first episode of season five where he is in the hospital, has he been mentioned aside from a few deleted scenes? I for one am really gonna miss Hollis Flax

after Baby Shower...how could even Michael be interested in Jan? What could she possibly offer him? That doesn't mean that Jan can't still be in Michael's life as a potential stalker(remember Jan's numerous meltdowns particularly The Job) And if for some crazy reason Jan should get her old job back at corporate...maybe as an agreement of the pending lawsuit that could add all kinds of crazy into the mix.
But I don't see Michael ever being interested in her again when you take into account Dinner Party & Baby Shower it would take a monumental gesture on Jan's part(way more than a boob job...excuse me boob enhancement). She would have to do something....Michael would do to open that door even a tiny bit.
Jan is as relevant to Michael right now as Roy was to Pam after The Negotiation.

Well the verdict is in. I guess props to whoever voted 'Strongly and Emotionally', as I think that's the closest of the choices. I really do hope there is an opportunity for her to come back. It still hasn't really hit me that she's not gonna be on the show anymore.

kinda weird how they ignored her character for a long time, featured her in that one episode with the new boyfriend and teased us with her still having feelings for Michael, and then havn't gone back to it since. I'm used to dramatic shows like Lost doing that, but its really rare for comedies to create storylines like that imo.
