Full Version: Greg Grunberg’s talks ‘Fugitives’

Interesting interview!

..."The Hunter" - could be cool! Sounds cool. Maybe a more powerful Sylar?

I'm kind of confused. So Chapter 3 pretty well wraps up and they end up in prison? That's a crappy way to end. Or is being in prison the "cliffhanger"? Or are they not in prison - did I read that right?

Why does EVERYONE have to go dark? Peter's going dark, Claires going dark, Mohinders going dark, maybe Hiro and/or Ando is going dark, now lovible parkman? LAME! I want some good natured heroes. They don't all have to be dark tortured souls. Thats what made parkman and hiro so great.

Sigh, I want to know what these writers are thinking?

They aren't keeping them dark. It's like a "you have to experience it once in your life" kind of thing. You try it out, see if you like it, then if you don't, ditch it.

What worries me is this ... Quoting from the article "I can read minds, so I should be able to pick up on the fact that she's working for the bad guys, but I don't!"

Well, Matt doesn't always have his powers turned on. He thinks that reading just anyone's mind would be wrong and that he should only read someone's mind if he believes they are his enemy or they give him permission. He played with his powers a little bit more when he discovered them, but he now picks and chooses which minds he reads. It could also be his way of showing respect to Daphne. Reading her mind would be like seeing her naked without permission.

I wish I had the latter super power.

They want to do first season magic where we didn't know who was good or who was bad. I like this season so far, but I feel the same way.

Granted, Wishpig, now go have fun. By the way, you have two more wishes and you can't wish for more wishes or to make your power any less creepy.

Peter's influence was Sylar's original power causing hunger.

Seeing her naked without permission? Yeah, I gotta admit that would be one hell of a power to have. She looks awesome with her hair all messed-up.

But thats just it, the first season magic, didn't matter who was good/dark. It was the storyline that they were all trying to adapt, figure themselves out while discovering there were others like them. And from the first episode almost all characters interacted with Claire. Her family, Nathan, Peter, Hiro/Ando, Sylar, Angela, her school friends, brother, Eric Roberts at the company, Eden, Haitian, Matt, TK etc. There was a broader goal, "save the cheerleader, save the world". We haven't had that since season 1. The characters were woven into the other charaters sub plots all heading towards the main. Now we just get "rogues".

Well I'm O.K. with them making the show not all about The Cheerleader, Claire and Hiro have been featured on almost all the episodes so I'd rather some of the other characters be put upfront and Claire can take a backseat or at least as much as everyone else.

I'd be really happy if Parkman got more screentime this season.

Agreed, every season shouldn't be about Claire, my point was there was a central theme running through the storylines. I would of thought they would use 1 character each season to revolve around, how the fate of that one character could impact the world, or all their futures.

I just think its wayyyy tooo late in the shows lifespan to suddently stop Hiro from doing what he's suppose to do, time travel back/forth. Because they've crippled the current heroes into darkness.

The Yeats poem in episode one has the line "somewhere in the sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man....". They had a shot of Sylar but it was Matt who was in the desert. I don't know if this is a hint or what. Anyway, it's a great poem about chaos and destruction. I loved listening to Mohinder recite it.
