What is the expression - pot meet kettle?

lol! good one.

The nasty stuff said here would have never existed without the (undeserved) nastiness on the show. I watched some older season episodes on Style this past weekend and was amazed how respectful the opposing teams were to each other. It was so refreshing. When a team member did well on the scale or at a challenge, even the members of the opposite team cheered for them.

That didn't happen this season. All you saw were sour, sulking faces. Especially the two that most members here did not want to win.

From those two we saw anger, bitterness, cursing, vengefulness, selfishness, sourness, greediness, arrogance. That stuff was there, regardless of the editing.

And we should want them to win?

Also, with Vicky did anyone else notice how Brady basically gave up his life so SHE could train to win. She wouldn't get home till her kids were going to bed??? I truly feel for her kids--with Vicky, Vicky will always come first! I definitely agree that both she & Heba could use some professional help---Bob surely wasn't there for them the way Jillian was for her people. Am so happy the season is over & I, hopefully, will never have to look at Vicky or Heba again.

YEA MICHELLE!!!!!!!!!!

Ugg! I hate when I defend Vicki, but I will a little here. I agree that Vicki has demonstrated a weird lack of emotion regarding her children, like when she wouldn't try in the two challenges where she could win a phone call (TO TALK TO HER KIDS!! That she hadn't seen for 2 weeks!) or videos from home. However, in the final weeks before the finale, I can understand why Brady became Mr. Mom. Vicki had a shot for 250,000 and Brady only could win 100,000. She was in this competition to win, just like every other contestant. It is only a few months of her life. I understand that she can't get this time back, but if she remains healthy, she will have gained many more years with her children.
(OK, even though I defended her, I am laughing about the healthy part, because she really didn't look as though she learned anything on the ranch so she will probably just gain it all back. See.. this is why I hate ever defending her.)

I wanted to take a minute this morning to talk about the "Best Moments" of the show last night. Here are my "awards"

Most Touching Moment - JERRY! Allison choking up, and Jerry's doctor getting emotional when telling him he was disease free! And as usual, Jerry handling it all with dignity and class.

Most Shocking Transformation - AMY P.! Good lord! My husband said that cannot be the same person! But it is! Amy, when I get ready to sell my house I'm calling YOU and Phil! You guys rock and maybe we can run one of those parking garages downtown together.

Most Improved Duo - SHELLAY and AMY C.! Hot, Hot, Hot! I always knew these two were going to give it their all and they DID. Awesome job ladies.

Funniest Comment - ED! Saying "It's the economy" after he found out he beat Heba by 84% for a place in the final weigh in. Hey Ed, your economy just got a little better with Heba's win!

Best Wardrobe Malfunction: HEBA! Girl, what was with the white undies beneath that dress? You look awesome but let's not do that again!

Most Bizzare Comment - VICKY! As she proclaimed she had a light bulb moment when PHILLIP told her to live in the NOW on a conference call. HUH? PHILLIP? Okie dokie then...

Best Floor Skater - TIE - HEBA and VICKY. No further explanation to follow.

Best New "Do" - RENEE! Awesome, young and HOT hairdo gal!

Most Excuses Offered - VICKY! Anyone surprised? I wasn't but I just wanted to smack her as she went on and on about work, workouts, 4:00am. Maybe she should cut back on the WORK hours to take more time for herself and her family?

I was SO thrilled for Michelle! Heck, I was thrilled for all of them, even Brady and Vicky. They are all healthier, hopefully happier, and I pray for them to live long and fulfilling lives. God bless all of the contestants, and I'll see everyone back on the boards in January!!

Serenitynoww
Heba and Ed might have taken the easier route of starvation mode which explains the loose skin (aka a caloric intake which would equal that of after a gastric bypass). Too bad. I havent seen that much loose skin on contestant via finals.

Adam and Stacey, my hometown heroes, did far better than I expected, given that they were railroaded in week one. They're looking great, and I hope they keep fighting for it! I'm still a litle bummed that Stacey didn't make it back, but living well is the best revenge, eh?

Tom and LT still have a ways to go, but drastically-improved health is always huge. I have to give LT props for not piledriving Ed onto the scale. No one would have blamed him. Heck, I'd have posted his bail and got him to Mexico.

Jerry is runing in 5Ks now! Heck, I only just started doing that myself a few weeks ago, and I'm quite a bit younger than he is. If he keeps it going, he'll be there for his grandkids' weddings! Colleen is some kind of gorgeous, and was to begin with! I'm sorry she didn't make it to the finals; on grit and cuteness alone she should have.

I've already mentioned how happy I was to see Orange Nation, and especially Jackie, but it bears repeating. MMMM!!

Renee could be hired out as a ringer for challenges. She is beyond mighty. She is worshipped in some primitive cultures as a mother goddess. She's got the whole world in her hands! Love never does fail! Giggity!

Does anyone know what the final standings were among ALL the contestants, percentage-wise? I've heard people say that Heba would have beat Michelle, but I'm curious in what order everyone else fell; at-home & final three lumped together. Has it been posted somewhere else where I can find it?

Everyone did great, some could of done better. But they are alot better and healthier when they started, lets hope they keep it up.

Would love to get an idea of the total prizes, cash, merchandise, and intangibles, that were awarded to each of the teams. Some folks must have wound up empty-handed, and undeservingly to boot.

I really like watching the finale to see how great all the contestants look - and they all really did look great!

I'm very happy that Michelle won, but must confess, I felt a little sympathy for Vicky for the first time - she lost an amazing amount of weight and really put her life on hold, apparently not even having time for her family after being away for so long, and she probably doesn't realize still why people did not root for her. She's kind of a sad person. (But I was rooting 100% for Michelle & glad Vicky did not win.)

I hope Heba uses some of her At Home prize money to buy a better bra...trashy, just plain trashy. How can she look at herself in the mirror and not see that her boobs are about 8 inches too low?

Thank you to whoever posted that link to the article in Vicki's hometown newspaper. Boo-hoo, cry us a river. People have been so mean to her. Whats the saying...she can dish it out, but she can't take it.

Thats funny, when I saw her I said her boobs are sagging, very common for gals who have a big weight loss. only plastic surgery can correct it.

I have to agree with you there. Heba had a lot of loose skin! I would bet anything she was not eating that much. That being said, I did LOVE the look on her face when Allison anounced Ed's landslide win with America. Clearly, she had no idea how much America disliked her until that very moment. I hate that she won the at home prize, but at least she wasn't in the final three...she would have beat Michelle if she had been. This will sound pretty mean...but I hope that she uses part of that $100,000 to tighten up her skin and lift her boobs...they were quite droopy. I also think Vicky should try to incorporate her family into her work outs instead of being gone until 8:30pm, leaving Ed to care for the kids. They could do things together as a family to get some exercise, and I was really hoping to see how Vicky and Brady were feeding their kids after being on the show.

YAY MICHELLE!!!!

Heba deserved that prize because she lost 46% of her body weight. She deserved it because she lost more than any other contestant this season.

Most of the at home looked fantastic.
I didn't like Amy's hairdo. Oh well.

Pink won last year...Pink won this year. Interesting. Jillian keeps her top spot.
Michelle really looks gorgeous. Her face really now does her justice.

All I could hear in my head seeing Heba walk out was the voice of Stacey London (what not to wear) saying 'Get those girls up' Jeez'. Ha ha.
Yeah she needed a better bra.

Losing weight and gaining a healthy lifestyle and fit body doesn't sound empty-handed to me! Anyone who is in it for monetary items is in it for the wrong reasons.

Clearly, she had no idea how much America disliked her until that very moment.

Actually, she appeared very nervous when she first came out (as did Vicky) and avoided looking at the camera. That shows me that they knew America disliked them. And when they announced Ed the winner, I thought Heba looked disappointed ... but not at all surprised. I think deep down she knew it was coming.

QUOTE (kdmask @ Dec 16 2008, 09:28 PM) *
I still don't understand the lack of skin sag on a lot of people. Is it because they work out so much? I don't think they have time to get a body "tuck".

Personally, I think it has to do with age plus the amount of weight they lost. If you were Heba's size and lost 139 lbs you would have some saggy skin too. But the younger people, who perhaps hadn't been fat as long, seem to bounce back better. Look at Ali and Michelle, both young and both lost over 100 lbs and not much saggy skin.

However, there was no excuse for the saggy boobs on Heba! She needs to use some of that $100,000 to buy a good bra or two - or have those girls hitched up surgically!!

I do miss Caroline R. too. Allie is a drag on the show in my opinion. She does look good to be due in 4 weeks...but couldn't they find her some more flattering maternity dresses? I thought all season she was wearing really ugly and unflattering outfits. Being maternity dresses doesn't help much but they have the money to do better than that.

Ditto. This is the best summation of the show that I've read so far.

Heba definitely could have done with a better dress and undies. It was a little tacky for my taste.

I'm proud of America for picking the one that they knew Michelle could beat between Ed and Heba.

But I'm am proud of all of the contestants and hope they have made amends to become better people all around. I am definitely hoping that Vicky decides that she needs to work on her attitude along with her other personal issues. We will see when she does her finale blog on myspace.

Congratulations Michelle on your top win.

Jillian your good luck colors are definitely pink and black.

Congratulations Michelle!!!!! You made my evening by winning The Biggest Loser competition. I was pulling for you. The biggest loser is just the beginning of what you can accomplish. The sky is the limit. Losing weight is such a rewarding experience, although not an easy one, but once you accomplish it and find a way to keep it off it is so rewarding.

Okay, not what I meant, but I understand where you're coming from.

Some wound up with automobiles, or free food, or trips, or whatever, while others, who were decent, honest, salt-of-the-Earth folks, wound up with squat. You know who could have used that RV? Tom and LT. But noooooooooo! Prepared meals for months? That had "Jerry and Colleen, because they're great" written all over it.

I think the same thing. Just think Heba if you wouldn't have sided with Hateful Vicki you would have won biggest loser! You were voted out because of that.

I am soooooo Happy for Michelle Yeah!!!!!

Vicki I think you should have made a public apology to Phil and his wife. I am so glad you didn't win.

I have one other thing to say and this is to Allison, I saw her on the "Ellen" show and Ellen asked her about america's dislike for Vicki and she basically just said we didn't like her game play. GGRRrrrrrrrr.
IF you call being malicious and hateful to another human being game play that is acceptable, then I am glad I didn't watch the last 3 weeks pryor to the finally. YOu should have given her a weight penalty for her behavior. I can see trying to psych someone out but what she did wasnt game play, she didn't like phil and in her arrogance and nastiness said things that were malicious and unacceptable. You can see its part of her personality and she would say those things to someone she didn't like in a heart beat today.

So Allison don't just write us off, as if what we were angry about could be boiled down to game play. If you find malicious hateful behavior acceptable maybe you need to rethink your values.

I hope everyone has a great day and congratulations again to Michelle the best woman did win!!!!!

Oh!! Give Allison a break she is on a soap opera set 12 hours per day everyday and she is used to writing off nasty behavior. I swear to you guys Vicky was trying out for Days of our Lives while she was on Biggest Loser.

AN EARLY XMAS!!! It was so obvious that AMERICA spoke out against the type of behavior displayed by Heba, Vickie and Ed, by voting Ed in and Heba out. This was our way of punishing BAD behavior!! I doubt if she will, but maybe Heba will learn from this...what goes around comes around. If she wouldn't have been such a (insert word) and sided with Vickie's hateful behavior, she would have been voted through, and won. I knew as soon as they pleaded to vote her in that justice would be served. I hope she spend this holiday thinking about her behavior. And the stars were in our favor by not rewarding Vickie or her husband ANYTHING! Vickie, spend the holidays teaching your children that your behavior was wrong!!!

We saw about 8 hours of the three months they spent at the ranch. They can make anybody look any way they want. Even if she is a total bitch, the comments here are nastier and so are the people making them.

You do realize you are coming on the boards and slinging mud at the posters right? Doesn't exactly make you any better than anyone else here tongue.gif

If you'd been on these boards prior to today, you'd have seen the editing excuse has been used plenty already. Obviously most of us don't buy in to it, Ed 84% LOL If Vicky and Heba hadn't acted so repulsively in the first place, there wouldn't have been anything negative to "edit in".

Anyway, I think they are ALL winners for getting all that weight off. I congratulate them all regardless of their motive (notice Heba made a point of saying they weren't in it for the paycheck, but man oh man did she look pissed off in later shots hehe). I hope they all manage to keep off the weight.

I am willing to bet that like all of the reality shows, these folks are paid to be on the ranch. Yes, reality contestants are paid for the weeks that they are on the show. How else can these people afford to take breaks from the lives that they lead?? Of course we all have bills and real lives and those lives cost money and no one would be able to run away from "reality" to a reality show if there were not real dollars involved. This is one of the huge motivators on other shows to stay, that weekly payday is not a small payday I am sure...not near as much as the final check, but it's still nice to have that extra cash coming in...and there's usually a gag order in place so the contestants can't talk about how much they are getting paid during the show or after for that matter...but be sure that a bartender or a cook or an accountant can't afford to just step out of their life for 3 or 4 or 5 months...not for this show or survivor or big brother..they have to be being compensated.

With that being said, I just LOVE the way most of the show turned out last night...

LANDSLIDE for Ed...Yeah baby!!! Don't try to tell the voters of the USA how to vote...it just doesn't work!

Wasn't thrilled that Heba won the "at home" since she wasn't really at home...she stayed at the ranch just as long as the finalists...Hope she takes some of that 100k and spends a bunch of it at Victoria's Secret!

But the best of it all was that yet another woman from The Black Team took home the big prize...

Congrats Michelle!!! You did Jillian and yourself proud!!!

I noticed that Michelle has a wedding ring on. I know they have not shown a husband on the show so does anyone know what the deal is? Just curious.

DOES ANYONE REALIZE HEBA MAY NOT HAVE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHE ONLY LOST 46.82% NOT 53%! DO THE MATH! I THINK AMY HAD A hIGHER PERCENTAGE THAN THAT! IS THERE ANYWHERE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

THEY MADE A HUGE MATH MISTAKE!

Is there anywhere to say something to NBC! I don't think this is right.
