Regarding Vicky and Heba's comments after the show....they were defensive. How else would they be? Honest? (oh yes, I was a bitch)...nope not on national TV.

They are sore losers. Plain and simple. Heba tried to be all like...oh I didn't do it for the money but both she and Vicky DID do it for the money and as Bob predicted...it would bite them in the butt. Time will tell if they truly LEARNED anything from the experience and if they did, the weight will not come back. Unfotunately, I DO believe that at a minimum for Vicky it will come back and pretty fast. She lost because she did an incredible amount of gym time...she can NOT keep up that pace forever. She's at maintenance now and that too is difficult (even if it doesn't require as much exercise...maintenance does require work).

Heba and Vicky...take the tail between your legs and realize that you were caught with your pants down for 12+ weeks and the camera does not lie. Yes, it looks a lot closer at YOUR life than it does mine, but YOU chose that as you also CHOSE to do the things you did on camera.

Ed...you didn't fool anyone. You, Heba and Vicky game played your entire stay at the ranch gaining when you wanted to and losing at the other times. Your game play back fired when you went up against your wife and America voted for you instead of her. Cost you both $150,000. Hope it was worth it cause everyone you know and don't know thinks you both blew it big time. Everyone you know and don't know knows what sore losers you are too.

This is reality TV people....the truth is that MANY of us would have done similar things if the camera was in our face as often as it was in theirs. It ain't easy to be nice and polite all the time....it can be done but it requires great strength and patience. Many at the Ranch had it but not all and others besides Heba, Vicky and Ed are just as guilty.

Lets hope the next season is better and that rules are changed FOR THE BETTER

In the video, Heba says something to the effect of "A bunch of people with nothing better to do than sit behind a computer and vote against her."

Wow.
It's all about her. Against her. Not that people voted FOR Ed. rolleyes.gif

I think they should use a multiplier of your time on the ranch to equalize things. You could multiply the percentage by .12 for the people there one week then .11 and Heba's percentage would have stood alone with no multiplier. To me it is more fair because no one elminated early ever wins. Especially this year they didn't take the actual at home biggest looser back it was the challenge winner.

Not true. In season 4, Jim was the first black team member sent home and he won the at home prize.

Most of what I have to say was said already, but it seems some people missed it!

For anyone who thinks it was "editing" regarding Vicky, Brady, Heba, and Ed,
these links speak volumes. Or gee, maybe Access Hollywood spliced Vicky and Heba's words together in a different order to make them look bad.
Also, note at the end of the article that Bob and Allison both said the portrayal of contestants was accurate.

And Ed? Wow, nice thing to say. NOT! Regardless if someone has an annoying personality, you showed no class with this.

I'm so glad those 4 are over with! Everyone else... you were an inspiration!

I could not agree more!!!

I saw that thing on Access last night and I was floored! Vicky was still spinning things to make herself look better...I say she has a career waiting for her in politics! She would be GREAT in that or in public relations...I think she missed her true calling!

But seriously, I have to say that the final nail in the coffin of the Vicky/Heba/Ed/Brady coffin was the statement from Allison and Bob that said that they were shown accurately. To me, that pretty much says it all. If the person that trained them says that they were that way, and the person that was the host, who has nothing to gain from saying that it was that way, then you pretty much have to say case closed on it. They rolled the dice on playing the way they played and they lost. Now we just have to wait a few weeks for the next batch of contestants and hope that they learned from the mess that we just watched. From the group that we got the sneak peek from, I am guessing that they will be much better than what we just had (at least from the nasty group of 4 that I mentioned above, the rest of the group was awesome!)

And it's kind of a shame that they are coming out with another group so fast, Michelle won't keep her title of Biggest Loser for very long...Hopefully she will get the most of her endorsements that she can get because they will have another finale probably during the May sweeps...I have not done the math and gotten out the calendar to figure out when the show will wrap up, but if I was to make a guess, I would figure they would do it when TV wraps up for the summer, and that's much shorter than usual for TBL winners to keep the title and go around the country on speaking engagements and doing press and ads for products and stuff. Michelle needs to hit it while the iron is hot so she can make the most of the title.

Thanks for the websites. All I can say is WOW!!! Vicki is one angry person and that will probably never change. "it was all editing" yeh right. When you have Bob and Jillian even commenting how the editing was fair and for Vicki to blame the producers, she is something else. I just hope future biggest loser contestants learned something while watching Vicki and don't act like that.

I did not see the Access Hollywood ordeal, but after reading those comments and that article, I cannot believe how dumb Vicky must think the majority of us are. I was really annoyed watching her emotional plea at the end. She said her kids were most important to her, and to me, that was bull when she would come home late at night, instead of being devoted to them. I just have this feeling that her obsession with being thin now and maintaining it, will end up ruining her marriage with Brady. And for her to say that the show was the cause of her 'provoked comments' is crap, too.

In regards to Heba and Ed----wow on the comment he made about Phil. I thought that was bittersweet at the end when Amy almost took the at home prize. I thought Ed was a bit of a bigger person, but obviously that is not the case and that, too, disappointed me. Plus, it was amusing to see the look on Heba's face the night of the finale and realize her hubby got voted on and she did not. Lol....And I agree with whoever posted earlier stating that the last person voted off at the finale should not be included in the "at home prize", as they were on the ranch to the bitter end.

Way to go Michelle! I was inspired by Ali and now, Michelle, is another great inspiration, too!

And did anyone see that Allison went into labor on Ellen? I read that yesterday on Yahoo.

Can't wait for Season 7! Hopefully we will have some better, more deserving and kind hearted contestants, rather than just "game players". Those game players will more or less gain it all back anyhow....some people never change or learn.

The Ellen show was over 2 weeks ago..and a gag lead in to the Giveaway segment that Ellen was doing (12 days of Christmas).. Ali blogged about it afterwards when rumors were swirling.. She said even her mom called her to find out if she had gone to the hospital.... Many of us wondered whether she really went into labor too. She's not due until January.. and was still pregnant as of the live finale Tuesday night.

We are all looking forward to season 7.. !

Congratulations on a job well done. Not only did your outer beauty show but also your inner beauty. You and your mother are both inspirations for many.

I wish the best of luck on your journey forward. I also lost a large amount of weight when your age but thankfully due to learning a new lifestyle, I was able to maintain the weight loss as I moved forward. Remember your lessons and you will succeed.

Couple things not directly related to the finale..

Looking at some of the links at the ivillage Biggest Loser site I found this.

Kind of funny.. complete with polls. But surely they missed several 'moments'.

http://diet.ivillage.com/slideshow/diet_fi...us_moments.html

Also just a heads up for those of you who like to catch up on episodes from previous seasons.

Bravo is going to have an all day showing of the majority of season 3 of TBL.
It kicks off at 8 in the morning (eastern time) and begins with the episode where they did a beach challenge. It might have been the second or third episode. Back in the day, the episodes were only an hour long I think..
So it should move along at a good clip.

If you think about it, the contestants of 6 left the Ranch in September, most likely when the season started on tv. Cuz the casting for 7 ended in late August. And the 3 months home would have been Sept.-Dec. They are filming now still for 7. They will probably leave the Ranch either right after or before the holidays. Then 3 month at home and finale in late March for season 7.
If Kia said it was like a 36-39 time frame, they'd be on the Ranch for 6 months, at home for 3. Have a weigh-in every two weeks on the Ranch (and make it look like 1 week).
Season 8 is casting now, they'd probably start at some point in Jan/Feb at the Ranch

I. am. speechless.

Yikes! Ed! All along I thought you were a nice guy trying to keep your wife from following Vicky. And I thought Brady was the big Phil-bully. Just, WOW. (on my way now - THANKS for those links! Eye-opening, to say the least.)

I'll still say what I came here to say: Heba is GORGEOUS. Yup, I said HEBA. Just stunning. I actually teared up when the two of them walked out, because I had the least faith that they'd lose much more weight at home.

I'm tickled our voting helped Michelle win it all - she's so derserving.

And Phil and Amy look fabulous, too! Everyone looked great, but Phil & Amy and Heba & Ed really blew me away.

OK - on to wait for season 7!

Damn, in the article part Alison and Bob say Vicky's editing on the show was fair. ohmy.gif

In the video, Heba says something to the effect of "A bunch of people with nothing better to do then sit behind a computer and vote against her."

Wow.

Oh darn....She figure out my plot to get her! rolleyes.gif sarcasm.gif

My plot started the minute Ed and Heba went below the yellow line and america was allowed to vote for the third contestant.

I worked on it day and night and my constant thinking of making sure Ed would win. My evil smurks would rival Heba's and even Vicky's.

I would wake up during the night laughing when I pictured the look on Heba's face when it was announced that Ed won the vote in.

I even took out my Heba and her cohort Vicky voodoo dolls and stick pins until I got hand cramps.

I prayed to the Biggest Loser gods that Ed would be in the final three. I lit candles and kept repeating "No Heba, "No Heba!"

My plotting and prayers were answered. Poor Heba did not take the news too well. She may have look good on the outside but her soul was in pain and denial.

She blamed others who voted over and over against her on the computer but deep down inside I knew I caused all of this.

Thank you, the Biggest Loser gods. ph34r.gif cool.gif

Thank you, Big Sky, for having the courage to come out and tell the world what about 95% of us here on the boards were doing. As yet another person with "nothing else to do" all I have done for the last week was to plot the demise of the FAB FOUR's evil plan for Loser domination. I certainly didn't vote FOR Ed, a person whose sense of humor alone was enough to make me choose him over his spouse with a checkered past on the show, I voted AGAINST Heba because of course, it's Heba's world and we all just plot against her.

I don't think so. I think she missed beating ED by one pound. Michelle had won with pounds to spare I believe. She needed 104? but got 110?

Americas vote didn't take $150,000 out of her pocket, we just didn't put it IN there. The money wasn't "hers" and we took it, the money was OURS and we gave it where we felt appropriate, with our voting.
Well, we could have put it in her pocket if Ed won. Because what Ed wins is Heba's spending money. Just ask Ed. wink.gif

The bad part of all of this is, Heba and Vicky are STILL trying to claim the lime light. Poor me or its all their fault.

Heba, you won $100,000, that is nothing to complain about. You also lost alot of weight and improved your health. You should be thankful for what you got out of this, and don't try and blame alot of people on the internet that had their right to vote whatever way they chose to.

Heba had delusions of grandeur in her head. blink.gif She envisioned herself in the got milk ad, she envisioned herself as the spokesmodel for 24 Hour Fitness; she wanted to be the next Jared, and be in Subway commercials for the next ten years. Sorry Heba, your 15 minutes of infamy is up. The Biggest Loser Talks
Great interview and insight from Michelle about the crazyness of the Blue Team:

QUOTE
When it came to her Blue team opponents, Aguilar said that she had felt like she was "going a little bit crazy" as she observed the gameplay tactics used by Blue team members Vicky Vilcan, a 37-year-old anesthetist from Houma, LA, and Heba Salama, a 30-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative from Raleigh, NC.

"[I was like] 'Is it just me? Am I the only one who thinks they're a little bit crazy,'" Aguilar told reporters. "Then as soon as the show started airing I realized 'No, I'm not crazy" because they were that way [I remembered them] to be. I wasn't so much shocked as I was just relieved to know I wasn't crazy."

Aguilar also cited her background in television production to say that she felt Vicky had been portrayed accurately on the show.

"I actually come from a television background as an assistant director and an assistant producer, and one thing I've learned is that you can't make that kind of stuff up," Aguilar told Reality TV World.

However, she added that Vicky's naivety regarding how television shows were created likely did not help her -- especially when it came to her less than flattering confessional interviews.

"I think because Vicky was such a fan of the show going into it... I think she [felt that] everybody probably played the way she played [on the show] and that they just didn't show it. So to hear her coming out of interviews on the show and saying things like 'Oh they're never gonna use my interview' in my mind I'm thinking as a producer 'That's exactly what I'm gonna use,'" Aguilar told Reality TV World. "I think it was just a little bit of her being naive and not knowing exactly how the TV world works [too]."

QUOTE
"When we were on the ranch and they had come back in from doing their confessionals where they were asking America to vote for either [Ed] or Heba, they came in and [Heba said] 'Oh, we told America to vote for me.' A 'don't worry about it' kinda thing," Aguilar told reporters. "I just kinda said to myself 'Well that's probably a bad idea, I think that may backfire.' Nobody in America likes to be told what to do."

At least 84% of Americans anyway....

Biggest Loser’s Vicky Says She Was Misunderstood

December 17, 2008

Vicky Vilcan, a nurse from Louisiana, went from 246 lbs. to 145 lbs. on The Biggest Loser: Families, but dropping 41.06 per cent of her body weight wasn’t enough to win the competition. The Biggest Loser title — and the $250,000 prize — went to Michelle Aguilar, a fan favorite, who lost 110 lbs., or 45.45 per cent of her body weight. Although Vicky says she’s still a winner, she also admits she is “so relieved that this show is over.” In fact, Vilcan says, “the show airing has not been kind to myself and my family.” In an interview at the show’s finale Tuesday, Vilcan talked to PEOPLE about being misunderstood on Biggest Loser, what you didn’t see on the show and how she’ll maintain her weight-loss during the holidays. – Rebecca Gross

Does America have the right perception of Vicky?

America has the absolute correct perception. If I was one of those reality TV people like I was before I got on this show, I’d hate myself too. But they’ve been given the wrong picture. They’ve been given a one-sided story and they have made a judgment based on that.

Why is that?

It’s both the editing and the game playing. I never lied to anybody. I never smiled when people got on the scale and gained weight. I’m a nurse and I’m kind. Even when I voted Amy off, there were no vindictive feelings because she was one of my best friends there. I was mad when she voted Brady off but everybody is human and everybody gets angry but we had made up. There were just a lot of things that were one-sided that America didn’t get to see.

What’s something that you wish they would have aired?

I wish that America did see exactly how injured I was. And how I would wake up when everybody was sleeping and work out. And how I would swim four hours a day. I don’t think they ever did show me swim one time on the show. I’m a working mom and I managed to fit it all in and I think that should inspire working women everywhere.

How are you going to maintain your weight-loss?

I workout an hour every morning and an hour every evening after the kids are asleep. It’s very manageable for me and it empowers me and it gives me confidence.

Any plans to splurge on a big meal now that the show is over?

Christmas is coming up so I think I’m going to wait until then. At work, everybody is going to bring in a dish and I’m very excited to taste a little of everybody’s food.

And if you believe this line of bs I can sell you the Fort Peck Dam! rolleyes.gif sarcasm.gif

It does sound like a great interview. Your link doesn't work, though. Could you please repost or edit?

The season is over!

I have rarely posted on these forums and no one knows me, which is fine. I never had the time to continuously throw my hat into the ring like some. However, over the past week, I did have time to meet nearly all of the contestants and spend many days with them in LA.

Let me preface this concisely: These people love each other. It was evident in so many overt and subtle ways. You cannot imagine the joy everyone felt, even among those who many thought ought not like each other. Day in and day out I bore witness to a genuine family enjoying a nearly week-long party. That was how the season ended, and unfortunately the country could not see the objective truth.

I'm going to go back to the word "family" because that is the only word that could encompass the complex nature of the relationships between the contestants. Many of us can relate to this, really. I'm willing to wager that nearly all of us have family members we adore and many that we cannot tolerate. We have those that make mistakes or foment arguments and strife. We also have those who make the whole occasion that much better. All of them handle life differently. We don't have to like all of them all of the time or even part of the time. However all of them, as I see it, are people that we love.

So to those who wish to continue to cast stones and make glib remarks about this extraordinary, arduous journey that 16 people chose to travel, realize that you don't know anything about them unless you look at them properly. With a provincial scope you see individuals, can recognize their perceived flaws and their strengths, but you miss on the greatness of the entire picture. Step back and look from a more broad perspective. Look at the opening sequence of every episode and you see all 16, a large (then literally but always figuratively) family.

Peace out. I'm done here.

I have had this thought off and on. Though not a big fan of ppl out and out game playing, waterloading and the infamous blue4. If it is true that Vicky was misunderstood, etc, etc.. due to editing etc etc... She should sue NBC for libel/slander of character. What a disservice NBC was done to the contestants. But Vicky did post that note on her door. She did go a little crazy when Brady got sent home. Ed said to watch out for her and something along the lines of scratching your eyes out (I think, but could be wrong)

I just want to see ppl lose weight week by week. I would be happy with a 30 minute show.

I don't know if this has been posted or not. It's an interview will Michelle. Very good read.

Thanks, I'm glad to know that they do love each other, and that they enjoyed their time together.

However, all that really tells me it that the people who who were called things like weasel, sleazeball, bad role model, back-stabbing bitch and lying sack of **** on national television are very forgiving people.

Yeah, that note Vicky wrote, sure showed THE LOVE!! smile.gif
I think we see things mostly the way they were...you really can't change people's words or actions. Even if the are edited.
This season was just so DRAMA-ridden, it distracted from the main point of the show, imo.
I still think the moment Allie announced Ed had won 'by a landslide' in viewer votes will go down in BL History as THE Classic Moment of all time. Heba's face? Priceless.

^^^^And yet, Heba still didn't understand why people voted the way they did. dry.gif

Well I only just managed to watch the finale last night. Have to say I’m very, very happy with the result. Big congrats to Michelle, who looked amazing! I’m so happy that Michelle and Jillian won. I do feel a bit sorry for Bob as Jillian’s team do seem to keep on winning. However, he did at least have Heba win the 2nd main prize. Speaking of Heba, I think she looked amazing and I know some people didn’t like her because she was part of Vicky’s little gang, but I personally didn’t mind her as I don’t really recall her personally doing or saying anything malicious, unlike vile Vicky who just spewed out venom on a weekly basis. I was actually worried towards the end that Vicky might win, but I could see Ed (while looking great) probably still had a few pounds to lose, but then once I saw Vicky was 145 lbs, I knew Michelle had to be lighter, because was shorter than Vicki as certainly no heavier. Interesting that over 83%(?) voted to ignore Ed plea to vote Heba into the finale 3. I wonder whether she realises its probably because she was teamed up with Vicky.

Have to give a shout out to some of the other contestants. How amazing did Stacey look? She did so great, especially as she was voted out in week one. Amy and Phil also looked amazing; in fact Phil looked like an entirely different person. Looking at the clips on the finale, I though he looked about 50+ when he first started on the show but was looking more mid-30’s on the finale. Shellay and Amy looked great too. Have to say I was a little disappointed in Tom and LT though. I know they were big guys starting out, but even so, I was hoping to see LT a lot smaller. Hopefully they’ll continue with their diets and exercise programs.

BTW, is it just me, or have Bob seemed to have lucked out these past few seasons and land up with the contestants that some viewers might consider the ‘villains’ on the show. He had Neil a few season ago, the brothers last season and then Vicky this season. It’s hard to route for his contestants to win, when you don’t like the majority of them.

Finally couple of thoughts on the finale itself. I love to Jillian to bit but she needs to relax, she always looks so uptight on the live shows, while Bob seems much more relaxed. One other thing, I love Ali, but was with that dress. I know she’s heavily pregnant, but that dress was a terrible choice and to make it worst it looked like you could see her bra (I’m assuming it was actually part of the dress design), still I’ll forgive her, because I love her as the host and how genuine she is with the contestants. Loved when she messed up her line and blamed the baby of stealing her brain :--)

Roll on Jan 6 and season 7!

Good read and I guess is really wasn't "editing". Now if only Vicky and Heba would just go off in the sunset and never be heard from again.

MICHELLE!!!!!

Congrats Michelle, I knew you would win! Good things happen to good people...

Yeah, I'm sure the charming Ed feels the love for Phil - the same person he referred to in that IVillage interview as "a jack-off kiss ass". Maybe the REST of them have too much class to lower themselves to behave like Ed, Heba, vIcky and Brady. Anyone can tolerate 'family' members for a week or so as long as you know you won't have to 'love' them after that. LOL!

WAY TO GO MICHELLE!!!!! You showed taste and class the whole time. It was a joy to see you win it all. Also, you have shown how beautiful you realy are, inside and out. What a major BABE!!!!

I'll say!

And...that the people who did the name calling are good at playing nice when they think they have to. Phony phony phony.

It really would have been appropriate for them to have said some words somewhere/someone, at least one media source.. where they regret things they did and said..and publicly apologize to those they tried to humiliate during the game. I'm sure private apologies may have occurred... but it would have been nice for them to acknowledge it publicly. I think it would have lessened the backlash.. and frustration towards them. And would have given most of us a hint that they really had some sort of remorse. The nasty comments and attitude were totally inappropriate (and many of them continue).. They certainly didn't promote any sense of family while there. More like a clique!

I totally agree with you... If they had come out publicly after the show and said anything that seemed remorseful, it would make a difference. But they are still riding the same horse they rode in on during the show... The same characters they displayed in the show...are now being seen in the interviews they've given... The did publicly humiliate these players...they should apologize publicly as well.
