From the episode last night, we saw that Nathan got an epiphany and that it can't end nicely. In a mix of this and from some screen shots that we've seen from next season (the one with Sylar wearing a S.W.A.T. suit of some sort), I got an idea of what will possibly happen. I think that Nathan will end up faking Arthur in thinking that he can trust him. And at the right moment, Nathan will get rid of Arthur thinking he is doing good for humanity getting rid of then, but he will have his dark motives that we saw this episode. He'll probably become president and he'll then, he'll feel betrayed by his old friends so he'll send his men to hunt them. All this while he tries to "save the world from evil", using powers of some people for his evil deeds. Sylar will probably be one of his main lieutenant. Of course behind all this, Angela will be smiling behind the scene since this is what she has planed for years and she'll be leading Nathan!

Season 4 will probably be more dynamic in the sense that the good heroes will be hunted down by the government in the quest of finding a solution to all this. So will it lead them to just fight them secretly or won't they be able to resist the temptation and go public with their powers to dig out Nathan's secret weapons? sly.gif

We have already seen screen shots from next weeks episode with Peter and the Haitian in front of Arthur, and another shot of Arthur dead on the floor with a hole in his head from a bullet.

That means Nathan can't get rid of Arthur since Peter is the one pulling the trigger. That is what will cause an even deeper rift between Nathan and Peter because Nathan has always been a "daddys boy" and will be appalled that Peter killed their father. This will probably turn Nathan against Angela as well. Sylar has no reason to side with Nathan unless Nathan gives him something about his true paternity etc.

Sylar more than likely will go rogue. He can't very well work with HRG now, and I don't know if he will work with Angela again.

Nope, Nathan has always been a mamas boy, and Nathan wanting to endict Linderman is what set this all in motion. Angela and Nathan both know Arthur tried to kill Nathan but instead crippled his wife Heidi. Nathan will never forgive Arthur for that. Remember in the hospital he told his dad to pick a side, Linderman or his family. Well Arthur picked and Nathan knows who he chose. Peter also told Nathan he's on dads side in the future, so I'm thinking Nathan is gonna be a mole, for the good guys. Try to take them down from working on the inside.

What I didn't get was Sylar asking Elle if it was true, Sylar has the ability to know everything about someone just by touch, so he should of known, he didn't have to ask.

Do you mean the ability he took from Bridget? If so, I thought it worked through objects and not people. Like if she touched a lamp she could see its owners kind of thing, not that she could know what people knew just by touching them.

Nathan doesn't have it in him to be a mole. He will let his emotions get the best of him. If he was such a mamas boy, then why has he led his entire life to be like Arthur? He went into politics because Arthur couldn't. Nathan is a classic text book case of the child living out the parents dreams. He loves Angela and there is no disputing that, and he is angry with Arthur for what he did to Heidi but his decisions and demeanor has always favored Arthur. Peter has always been more like Angela and has always led his life in ways that favor her. Angela is far from being a Saint, but she truly loves her kids. She can use them from time to time but Arthur truly makes them as pawns and mercenaries. Arthur doesn't care about the means. He focuses on the end.

What Peter saw about the future and with Nathan is becoming a reality. It is hard to sway Nathans mind and he is going to make his little toy army that precious daddy has been working on. While it might not be the exact same thing Arthur was going to do, it will be incredibly similar. Having Tracy being a heavy influence also doesn't help Nathan from staying on a proper path. Nathan is weak when it comes to women. He was weak with Nikki, became weak when Meredith called him about Claire, and is now showing weakness with Tracy. Nathan thinks he is in control, but boy is he going to get a rude awakening.

This was addressed in the most recent behind the eclipse interview...they said that while Sylar COULD touch someone to learn the truth, he would have to sift through that persons entire life to find the answer which would take a really, really long time!

In the latest BTE, the writer's say that Volume 4's villain is someone we have seen already, and that we have "started to see him turn" in last night's episode. The big bad will be Nathan after Peter kills Arthur.

I don't think he'll be evil per se, but he'll be at Pinehurst.

I hope that if this is true, he will be redeemed by the end of the volume (much like he was at the end of S1)

If you've read my thoughts it ties a lot of this in.

Yeah, this has been my theory since the beginning of this season.
Particularly when F_Peter was asked once in an episode "Why do you keep that scar?" since he has the morphing ability to get rid of it... and he states "It helps to remind me..." or something of that sort.

It helps to remind him his brother has turned to the dark side. Im excited to see how he's going to get this scar, unless the whole future has gone haywire already. But it helps to connect the dots a bit more.
