Awwww, I love Christmas threads!

Thanks for starting this one, Jen. Very cool!
This year many aren't able to spend the $$$$ we usually do at Christmas time. While some may be stressed, anxious, or even a little sad about this, I think there's a bright silver lining. Maybe the lack of $$$$ will encourage everyone to remember what Christmas is all about. Spending quality time with family and friends doesn't have to cost a dime. Walking in the snow, for those who have snow, and singing Christmas carols costs absolutely nothing. Plus it spreads good holiday cheer.

Walking around looking at the colorful, Christmas decorations cost absolutely nothing. Sharing stories and memories with family and friends, totally free.
I love this time of year.

My family isn't spending as much this year, as we've all been hit hard by these tough times. Even so, I'm still enjoying the season. It was never supposed to be about the money. For me it's about family, friends, gatherings, lights and colors, and the annual cheerfulness that seems to be in the air. So many make the effort to be just a little bit kinder, a little more patient, a little more tolerant. Much of it is 'put on' but who cares. It brightens up the atmosphere regardless.
Wishing everyone here the merriest Christmas and a happy New Year.
