* This statement is still true: A cutie-pie blonde in a new romance is going to die, and at first she'll seem to be done for, but then we will learn that it's all a cover-up—she's still breathing. Elle just got roasted by Sylar. Is she the blonde in question—or is there someone else who qualifies?

Now although I think it will be Daphne, I PRAY it is Elle and that she's not dead. How?

Well...perhaps Elle is with child (baby Sylar) and just as she is dying (appears dead) after Sylar roasts her the bun in the oven springs alive with powers that save her from within (possibly the baby's own power or the baby has his papa's powers???) I mean, Claire manifested young in the fire didn't she? It was a survival mechanism, non? Maybe baby Sylar can do the same...just to save my Elle!!!

Unlikely, I know, but one can dream!

I am hoping for the same thing too. I didn't like the Elle character until she paired up with Sylar. I think they balance each other nicely. I also hope there is a little Sylar in the picture.

I never believed that Elle was really dead, there are too many unanswered questions.

1. Why did Sylar burn her body??? He doesn't care about getting rid of evidence.

2. Elle never tried to use her powers against Sylar. Why??

3. Sylar told Elle that it wasn't her fault for what HRG made her do (pushing Gabriel to murder) yet he makes it a point to tell Claire and Angela that Elle is dead now because of what she and HRG had turned him into.

My theory is that it was not Elle he burned. If I remember correctly Angela told Sylar that he has only begun to understand his powers and their is much, much more to learn. What if Sylar can see into the future and is protecting Elle and their unborn child from being captured by the government 2 months into the future? Just a theory but I think that somehow Sylar knew that Elle was with child and that he is only protecting her and their son with this coverup.

I think this is very possible. If you think back to the episode Peter gets sent to the future & finds Sylar. He was there with his son, now who else had relations with Sylar other than Elle?

Daphne. But she's dead now.
