I wanted to create this post as a salute to one of my favorite soap couples of all time, John and Marlena. I grew up watching their storyline unfold from The Pawn, The Reunion, The Affair, etc. Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn have not only shared unmatched onscreen chemistry but have truly been there for their fans and appreciated the feedback that the fans gave them over the years.

Dee and Drake, you will be missed by all your legion of fans and we know that John and Marlena will live "forever" on the internet thanks to Youtube. It is a shame that Ken Corday literally "threw" both of you under the bus for the sake of attracting the younger generation on mindless storylines that are just too painful to watch.

The day that John and Marlena leave Salem is the day that I will stop watching DAYS after 25 years. The characters of John and Marlena will hold a special place in my heart as did the actors who brought them to life onscreen, Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn.

Thank you Dee and Drake for all the years of entertainment that you gave to your fans and to this show. You will be missed and DAYS will never be the same again.

You have said it well for all of the Jarlena fans. From reading the posts on this board, we feel the same about our beloved couple. Still, they both brought all they had to their final scene. I am still crying and so upset that we have lost them today.
