THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE DEATH OF A TROUBLED NYPD OFFICER LEADS TO A TRAIL OF MURDER OVER STOLEN MEMORABILIA
An NYPD officer troubled over mounting financial difficulties is killed by fellow police officers after taking hostages at gunpoint. As detectives Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) look into the incident, they discover valuable stolen documents hidden in the officer’s apartment, along with a dead body. The search leads the detectives to John “Jay” McIntyre (Guest Star Christopher McDonald) who is trying to establish that he is the illegitimate son of a famous President and is searching for the proof. A.D.A's Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) and Connie Rubirosa (Alana de la Garza) confront Jay's mother Lois (Guest Star Rue McClanahan) to find out if there is any truth to his claim. With a robbery and two murders to solve, the detectives aren’t sure if they are searching for a single killer or multiple killers as they try to unravel the facts of the cases.

I couldn't really get into this episode. I actually thought it was one of the weaker ones of this season.

I have to agree with Tiger Lily on this one. It was a bit to convoluted for me.

I don't know if it is because of my age, but I loved this episode. Loved seeing Blanche ( Rue from the Golden Girls playing the mother) Blanche would have slept with JFK lol. But I am sure this woman just liked people thinking she did. Now the cops wife being gullible enough to send $62,000 in a scam? I find it harder to believe that a young married couple living in NYC on a cops salary with a newborn had that much money.But I still liked the episode, how the man would rather go to jail a Kennedy than be free a commoner.

Does anyone know what kind of hearing is mentioned at the arraignment?

Could anyone tell me what the point of law was that the judge used to dismiss the two cases on this episode? Apparently the suspect(MacIntrye) was questioned about two different murder cases, but not read his rights twice. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Debi
