Hi,
I am a regular viewer of "The tonight show" by Jay Leno, and I love it. I have been watching it for more than a decade now. However...regarding last week's 2 episodes..... some jokes on Governor Blagojevich.
It was really funny that Governor Blagojevich mentioned Gandhi and other great achievers...and you guys made us laugh. BUT....I think, doing a small act on Gandhi, who is the father of the nation (India)...and mother Teresa (a selfless woman who gave up her life doing good for the under-priveleged) was totally in BAD TASTE.
Just to get a few laughs from the audience, I think NBC went to far and too low. If I were to comment in the same distasteful and disrespectful language on NBC's (Jay Leno's) comedy show....it was "mocking great selfless achievers just to make a few illiterate pot-bellied rednecks with burgers and hotdogs in their hands laugh.. most of whom must have never ever even heard of India..leave alone the Great Gandhi" !!
Totally disgusting...cheap and atrocious. And if NBC / Jay Leno has the balls....try and mock Martin Luther King (whose name was also mentioned by the cheapass Governor Blagojevich)!!
Try and make us laugh w/ some jokes ..not at the expense of some great souls!!

I agree lets NOT pick on the somewhat normal people...lets shoot straight for the weird ones, like this one....lol
A mother and her daughter were at the gynecologist's office. The mother asked the doctor to examine her daughter. "She has been having some strange symptoms and I'm worried about her," the mother said.
The doctor examined the daughter carefully and then announced, "Madam, I believe your daughter is pregnant."
The mother gasped, "That's nonsense! Why, my little girl has nothing whatsoever to do with men." She turned to the girl. "You don't, do you, dear?"
"No, mumsy," said the girl. "Why, you know that I have never so much as kissed a man!" The doctor looked from mother to daughter, and back again. Then, silently he stood up and walked to the window, staring out.
He continued staring until the mother felt compelled to ask, "Doctor, is there something wrong out there?"
"No, Madam," said the doctor. "It's just that the last time anything like this happened, a star appeared in the East and I was looking to see if another one was going to show up."

I hate to burst your bubble but Mother Teresa was no saint. She was actually a horribly cruel woman, with an extremely undeserved reputation for "helping the poor."
Check it out...

Ok, So I just talked to God and he said he would spank Teresa for being a naughty girl....lol No one is a saint. Everyone does things to make others upset. The public made Teresa's reputation what it is...not her....So again who's to blame but our own immaginations...Our need to want to believe in good, our desire to want to feel closer spiritually to the Heavens. lol how funny.

No offense, but I think you're going too far out of your way to be offended by this. It's not like Jay Leno was insinuating that Gandhi, Teresa or a chorus of angels actually would have kicked Ron's ass for mentioning them.
In fact, that's why it's funny: Because it's an exaggeration of such great proportions that everyone should know it's not meant to be taken seriously.
