Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans have been FIRED from Days.

It's getting worse.
How are they going to write out Patch and Kayla? I shudder to think.

We have a little information already -- they're not going to give them a proper good-bye, they're just not going to be seen anymore. People are supposed to mention them occasionally, so they'll still be in Salem, just off-screen.

It all sucks.

I am a third generatin viewer and now days will be over for me unless Days changes its mind. There are many SAHMs like me who have loved them for along time and we are in the youngest demo group. AS a matter of fact they have a huge fanbase that spans many demo groups! They need to change thier minds ASAP or they will be surprised how many viewers they willl lose!

I came back to Days just because SN and MBE were returning to thier roles as Steve and Kayla. I fell in love with this show during their first run and was so excited when I found that they returned. When they are gone there will be no reason for me to watch this show as a whole.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised, but still. When will the slaughter end? This sucks.

add to that the affront I felt today watching for the first time little Joe for what 2 seconds while EJ and his kid, Sami and the new kid have what 30 minutes or more!

Without the Patchman and his Sweetness the show is no more for me.Good riddance.I have no investment in any other characters except for Bope but their not enough to keep me watching without my favorites.The Fab Four =Big Score they shine together. Now all poor Bope will have to converse with is Abe&Lexie.Wow, thats exciting not .Bo&Steve the few times they let them loose like at the Dimera's and when they beat up Ford were just soo entertaining.Hope&Kayla are wonderful together I feel like their sisters.What a waste of such frienships for Pornfest 90210!

Stephen and Mary Beth are true professionals in every sense of the word. For them to be treated like dirt by TIIC, ticks me off! SN and MBE too good for Days! There's no reason to hang around Days after they leave.

NBC what the hell were you thinking?! I can not get over that Steve and Kayla are gone but you could keep the boring new characters with no history on this show! How stupid is Corday!? I hate that this happened nothing is the same anymore its garbage!

Damn I miss them, TPTB need to get them back on the show pronto, though I shudder to think what kind of story they might get with the current HW.
