It doesn't matter what form the creators of the new Knighrider selects for Karr or Kitt. The outer covering of Kitt and Karr is Nano Tek. This means that the cars are covered by a very flexible cellar stucture. Time doesn't have to be spent on looks for Kitt or Karr. I just wish more thought was put into Kitt's under water capiblities and looks. If Karr is the first prototype like in the 1980's version, would Kitt (the copy) would have that same ability to transform into a full figure robot?

No. Dr. G built the KI3T after the failure of the KARR project. KARR was designed as a military battle bot which could disguise itself as a vehicle, while KI3T ... was not.

yeah I know the list ist accurate it was probably the start of the pilot when popular mechanics released this list after the pilot came out but kitt3 has missiles and guns which are actual weapons so that a bonus kitt2 doesn't have. Kitt2 was never shot at with a missile so we may never know if he can take a missile drom kitt3 and survive directly and kitt3's laser would probably be able to melt his mbs if he still has it.

Actually in season 1 KITT2k (Deadly Maneuvers) was shot at with 2 heat seeking missles, and managed to avoided them, by burning some underbrush with his rocket booster.


And GeJuBo79 would think if FLAG existed long enough KITT2k would look like that, especailly if you take the failure of KRO from Team Knight Rider, FLAG just may have brought KITT2k back. Because even in the orginal seeries KITT did have some obvious updates .

I'll agree that the Attack Mode rims are hideous. I would like to see the Attack Mode rims transform like the pilot episode.

I never really liked the new attack mode, the rims being one reason. I just felt that the "hotrod" look was out of date for the series. I've learn to live with it but not my favorite "mode".

I was talking to my parents about KR seeing what they thought about it and my mom brought up the same thing I did about KI3T attitude lately? I have a feeling if they play the story line right the “items” that were hardwired into ki3ts cpu thats now in the hands of the NSA will come into play. What if KI3t’s programming gets out of control? Would make a good story to start season 2 with, KI having to find KI3t’s original cpu to save KI3T from a cpu meltdown. Just a thought.

Guess I disagree. The attack mode shows KITT's strengths which include stronger armor protection, a super-charger, and a very low profile.

the only problem I see with that is, ki3t cpu was put into KARR. Which may still be alive and and a chance for a new kitt vs karr show but at the same time if they consider it destroyed then ends that plot idea. just my 2 cents take it or leave it.

Or it could simply be KITT's personality. In TOS, the KI2K also had an attitude and personality. The only difference here being that KI2K was egotistic, vain, and opinonated, while KI3K is more arrogant (he's smart, and he knows it), and thus comes off as having "an attitude." A nice touch, I think.

I'd agree that black rims would be a nice touch. But, all in all, I think KITT's best mode is when he turned into the classic model a couple episodes back

As I see it, the only thing that prevents KI3T's personality to be fully exposed is his voice, I mean there's hardly any emotion behind it. I have to agree with "Virgo" from ep "Knight Of The Zodiac"- he is a monotone guy, no offense people. KI2T's voice had more emotion in it and so we (the viewers) could identify his attitude and personality. Here's a tip- why not make KI3T's voice more human and it will reveal wonders.

My point exactly kitt always avioded a missile except for that one episode in season 3 of the original show where he took a missile up the tail pipe. Kitt never was never shot at a missile to his hood or his windows or anything to the body of the car. So we probably dont know if kitt could take a missile head on. I still think kitt3 would win in a head on collision and in a fire fight with the old kitt. SInce kitt3 has more offensive weapons and an emp. Kitt2 did use keys but only in the first season. Remember a couple guys actually succeded in taking kitt because micheal left the keys in him and left the door open.It wasn't until season two or three that kitt2 could turn himself on and didn't need a key. In season one anybody could have opened kitt2.

If you watch the first season of TOS, you'll find that KI2K's voice was also montonous and hushed. It wasn't until later in the first season (as his character grew) that his voice gained more of an inflection, which didn't really become noticable until season 2.
Another theory is that the writers of TOS were more concerend with demostrating that KITT was a "person," and not "just a car."
In any event, in the case of KI3K, it seems to me that the writers are placing more emphasis on his development from "machine" to "person," albeit very slowly. It's getting there, though. If (and this is a big if) the series is resigned for a second season, I forsee a lot of growth in KITT, ranging from different levels of voice inflection, to more a more balanced "pesonality."

I loved the direction the show went in the episode where KI3T made Mike "his bitch" as Billy put it.

The only thing I have to say is that the Dr G. said that Ki3t's programing could only survive in KI3T, the SSC, and KARR. I think they "mirged" KI3T programing into Karr.

I beleave on one of the frist 8 episodes they had to use kitt backup computers.

One thing I am upgrading my Laptop. Motherboard, CPU, and two GPUs. Alot of you going oh that going to screw everything up. No The only thing I have to do is upgrade the grapics cards software. Everything else will work fine. I am not changing the Laptop Just rebuilding it.

That bring me to Kitt part that was put in Karr. That could of been the CPU from kitt and I beleave Karr had his software already preloaded. I think if anything they a CPU or a setup that start kitt on the secondary cpu.

The Trans Am KITT is a classic.. But I gotta admit that after watching the new series, the Mustang has really grown on me.. And I think it looks really superb in black! In terms of technology in this modern world, I'm sure the Knight 3000 will survive longer than the KITT 2000 as its technology is rather outdated in todays standard. But in terms of the sleek look, the KITT 2000 wins hands down.. Whereas the KITT 3000 wins in terms of looking predator like and a car not to be messed with..

The Ford F-150 product placement right there....lol.. No doubt, a great looking pickup truck..

No.... Please no.. If the series comes back for a 2nd season (which I hope it will), I hope the producers will not change the car to the 2010 GT500.. The current 2008 GT500KR looks really good as KITT and changing it wld only make it inconsistent. The Trans Am never changed the way it looked during the Hasselhoff days.. So I hope they will keep using the GT500KR... Looks perfect as KITT for this generation.

The only thing that needs fixing to KITT is his attack mode. Change the look. It looks too radical. Other than that, the street/normal mode KITT looks perfect.

if you do a search of knight rider 2000 you might see a change in style of car unless the movie is a ripoff

Knight Rider 2000 used a Mitsubishi 3000GT with a fake body made to look kind of like the prototype Pontiac Banshee concept, with noticable differences. It was totally different than the original Trans Am used in the original series. The car was bright red with very curvy lines. It really didn't work too well.

In the original series, there was a slight design change between seasons one and two of the original series. Season 1 used a stock Trans-Am, but then they changed the front end to add lights in the air dam. In the latter two seasons KITT usually used those bottom lights rather than his pop-up headlights (except in the series-ending episode, Voo Doo Knight, where he has all of his lights on). The first season, by contrast, always used the pop-up headlights.

It certainly was not as dramatic as the idea of switching from an '08 Shelby GT500KR to a '10 Shelby GT500KR (which we don't even know if one will be created by Shelby), but a design change nonetheless.

Personally, I have looked at the 2010 Shelby Cobra (GT500KR) and I gotta say... I don't like it NEARLY as much as the straight up standard 2008 Mustang that they're currently using. The front of it is just too rounded and smoothed down and looks too... pretty.

For a while I was trying to figure out just exactly what it is that you were trying to do. But now that I've sort of pieced it together, I wish you luck. I know you'll have a really hard time getting all the electronics to work like they do on the show, but the real problem will come from if you intend to do an actual working A.I.

Technically, it's the 2010 Shelby GT500. The no details of the KR version have been released and the last Mustang Cobra was in '04 I believe. But I agree with everything else. KITT should stay the way he is now.

I don't know with the 2010 Mustang Ki3T's scanner would have a nice curve to match the nose of the hood/grille. I think it could look kinda cool. It would make a need to redo the attack mode though.

Like I said before on other forums regarding this, I hope they continue using the current GT500KR.. It looks better than the 2010. If the show does come back for a 2nd season (I hope they do), maybe they can have KITT transform into the 2010 in an episode or something.. Other than that, the only thing that needs changing is how the car looks in Attack Mode.. Don't change anything else for the car.. Keep the GT500KR.
