Attack mode is just right i guess u have to be a true stang fan to appreciate the centerline style rims chosen for a new retro stang. think about it, why put a blower on the hood of a fuel injected snake? not logical, can only be for looks. kind of like the ol 60's stangs he was modeled after. dont get me wrong i would never put those on my sn95 ill stick with my cobra R's, but it works on Kitt!

KR 2000 where Kitt was a red Prototype was very disapointing. after updating Kitt they turned him into a front wheel drive prototype, yuck! but hey not as bad as when his body was stolen and kitt was installed in a VW! now that was depressing! KR08...... killer! couldnt have done better. change his looks or not just as long as he comes back! and yes, there has been a few cobra editions put out since 04. 05 was the change to retro (also known as 5th generation). my unkle has a black on black cobra. and yes am still trying to get him to add the ghost striping...... and give me the keys LOL!

I'm telling you, the foxbody Mustang is just ugly. It's a disgrace to mustangs everywhere. The '05 (fifth gen) back-to-classic look makes me drool and cream my pants, folks! That is one smokin' hot car, y'all!

Agreed the 5th gen is fords best move ever..... fox's were not the worst! face it that stupid 2nd gen PINTO they decided to put the mustang logo on was one of fords worst mistakes. if it werent for the fox, mustang would be dead and chevrolet would never have discontinued mustangs only rivals, and still are skiddish about bringing one back!

Thanx for the links. been looking everywhere for the kitt version. i only found a limited edition 1/18 maisto gt5ooKR, which i of course picked up instantly, but not the same without the scanners. would like to see versions with all his morphs especially the classic! as for the gas rc, hard to find but you can order the lexan body and i know my local hobby shop can order the scanners (which i have ordered but dont have yet) a little fabrication and you can have the closest thing.... my trouble is im into nitro trucks and not sure which street nitro to put the body on when and if i ever actually get it in the mail!

Hey now. Let's not say things we can't take back haha I love KI3T, and bought my Mustang because KITT was one. The new Camaro will be superior to the Mustang in almost every way. Mustang is an icon, though, and will continue to sell regardless.

I got the Knight Rider GPS for my birthday today. I'll be installing it in my Mustang tomorrow and take some pics and videos with my new Sony Cyber-Shot too!

I have seen some previews it looks pretty cool, they were suppose to add some updates to add more voice antidotes from William Daniels. Might check around you might find some voice add-on's for Val's voice that would be pretty cool.

I got mine for Christmas, I love it. I customized some of the mounts so that I could almost flush mount it in my mustang. I just got custom plates today for my b-day...KITT2008.

I think William Daniels was a great KITT.
I also Happen to think that Val Kilmer is doing a fantastic job.

Paul Frees was a rather devious sounding KARR and Peter Cullen is pretty intimidating, but to me he is the heroic voice of Optimus Prime, so accepting him as KARR is a little harder.

Anyone here built a replica car? Whether it be a Trans Am, Shelby or even a Stealth (KR2000 movie was a Stealth, heavily modified of course to look like a Pontiac Banshee concept.) I want to make a replica very much so, but i know the money involved is huge.

I like the show. It needs a little more character development and I am not sure I understand how the team is only 4 people now ( I guess I missed an episode) but I guess you have your reasons.

I'd like to see KIT go head-to-head with a competing machine. I say machine because it does not have to be a car. It should have similar functions though and be his nemesis. I am thinking of having a recurring bad guy that keeps this battle for good and evil ongoing. Like Optimus and Megatron, no one is ever truly defeated because everyone is evenly matched.

Okay...I've gotta admit that i'm a huge fan of the show. Even though the show has to use a mustang now, i don't mind it seeing that the GT500 KR is a decent looking car. However, I just can't stand kitt's attack mode. Aesthetically, it just looks...well horrible. Where to begin really?

Well I guess first and foremost, the wheel and tire combination is just ridiculous. The solid wheels look horrible in their own regard, and the offset larger wheel up front and smaller wheel in the rear doesn't seem to fit. I'd rather have a more traditional larger wheel in the rear or just same sized wheels in every corner. I'd say 19's up front and either 19's or 20's in the rear would be nice. (Not to mention it would probably help the car dynamically for shooting.)

Second, please lose that ghastly rear wing. The wing in and of itself is tacky...especially on KITT. I would recommend either maybe a longer version of the current GT500's decklid spoiler or a molded rear spoiler similar to say a ferrari F430. If a wing is a must...i would recommend something a lot smaller or just lower for that matter. Something functional, yet not as prominent or ugly as the current spoiler. For added effect...having larger venturi tunnels under KITT's rear bumper would be a great way to give his high speed stability some more credibility.

Lastly, can we keep KITT a bit more streamlined? The prominent side intakes and the rear fender flares could be more rounded and smoother. The square lines they create just clash with the smooth lines of the rest of the car. Make it look like the fender flares are natural, and not stupid body parts tacked onto the car (if you need an example look at the Toyota TRD 3000GT...it was a toyota supra with a widebody kit). Lastly...make that front lip spoiler solid...those holes look ridiculous.

I feel like NBC has got a decent show on its hands. The cast is perfect...the stories are innovative...i just can't get past the ugliness of KITT in attack mode. Anybody else agree with me on this? Maybe NBC could change it for the hopefully upcoming season...

I do hope that, if we get a 2nd season, Attack Mode gets a redesign as well!

I think hero mode KITT for season two should be a 2010 mustung gt gt v6 with mild modifications and a twinturbos to boost it horsepower from 250 to 450hp and attackmode KITT should be a 2010 gt v8 mustang heavily modified with the same twinturbo setup to boost it stock 300hp to 1000hp and also build a custom one-off sleek agsressive bodykit with a low mounted carbon fiber racing wing, and not the wanna' be dragster that it is now. He should also have blackout treatment on all his lights and black rims onboth modes.

First off, KITT is not just a mustang, but a Shelby GT500 Super Snake, 725hp stock. Forget the mustang gt

To clarify, the Shelby GT500KR and the Shelby GT500 Super Snake are related, but actually different cars. KI3T is/was a GT500KR. But would have been super bad-ass as a Super Snake.

IF KR ever returns, I expect KI3T to be based on the newly redesigned 2010 Mustang. I've seen Shelby's new GT500 based on the 2010 model, but I'm still waiting to see if he will do a new Super Snake.

Don't know if the super-charged Mustang could be instead converted to twin turbo or not. Interesting idea though. Could pull a Tokyo Drift drift and drop a NISMO Skyline GTR engine into it instead.

as long as you dont try to run both a supercharger and a twin turbo. an SC and a twin turbo with only 10 lbs of boost will put out at least 90 lbs of boost, and blow the engine.
