Someone whom I'm forever indebted to found the mother of all Late Night with Conan O'Brien videos: Conan's visit to FCB advertising agency in New York where he met Liza - and it is awesome. Many of us had been searching for this clip for years and had given up any and all hope of ever seeing it!
http://furberadvertising.com/Click portfolio, then LNwCOB, and they have the remote Conan did at FCB and Hilton's appearance on the show. This aired on the March 3, 2000 episode of Late Night. Look at how intently he's staring at her when she speaks.

Late Night consulted FCB ad agency to revamp the TV ad of Hilton Furniture (one of the show's sponsors in Houston). Liza was the senior copywriter working on the ad. Houston was famous for airing Late Night after 2:00 in the morning back in the day and for having chainsaw-wielding furniture store owners.

Conan O'Brien And FCB Team Up For Texas Chainsaw Ad MayhemsBoards Online - Mark Smyka - March 9, 2000
The March 3rd episode of NBC's the Late Show with Conan O'Brien harnesses the creative talents of Foote, Cone & Belding, New York to soup up the TV ad of one of O'Brien's Houston sponsors, Hilton Furniture.
The original ad features Hilton, a chainsaw wielding furniture vendor chopping up furniture as an indelicate metaphor for his slashed prices. O'Brien contacted FCB and in a hilarious sketch had a creative team redesign Hilton's ads.
The creative team was senior copywriter Liza Powel and senior art director Jennifer MacFarlane, along with senior creative director Robbie Austin, junior copywriter Shameka Brown, group creative director John Colquhoun, creative director Wayne Winfield and account director Alan Brown.
O'Brien held court with the agency types and showed them Hilton's ad, nonchalantly asking them what they thought of the ad. The FCB ad hipsters didn't approve. O'Brien then brought Hilton in and soon enough he was chopping up chairs in the pristine FCB lobby, with all of the agency people and the late night host looking on with an apparent mix of amusement and fear.
Four days later, the creatives were able to improve on Hilton's original concept, splicing his chainsaw footage together with shots of Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, incorporating some of Hilton's original slogans into the ad.
The FCB creative seem to know good, free PR when they see it.

Now for the cute-meet story in which a chainsaw-wielding Texas furniture dealer named Hilton Koch plays Cupid.
Early last year, O'Brien had a running on-air routine about how his show aired at 2:40 in the morning in Houston. This, of course, led to a riff on the low-rent advertisers who were signing up for O'Brien time. Actors like Koch reenacted The Texas Chainsaw Massacre by slicing off bedposts as a symbol of his cost-cutting zeal. The show flew Koch to New York that March for "an advertising makeover" at FCB, the nation's largest ad agency, where, by chance, Liza Powel worked as a copywriter. Watching the tape with the hindsight of eighteen months, you feel the chemistry. Even though she was part of a five-person team, Powel dominates every scene as both O'Brien and the camera play to her. When the FCB ad is unveiled, likening Koch to such advertising champions as Tiger Woods and Michael Jordon, Powel gets to explain on camera, "We have taken your chainsaw concept and elevated it to another level."
Head writer Mike Sweeney, who back in his days as enlisted man was in charge of the ad-makeover routine, recalls, "I could tell during the remote what was going on. I think Conan actually asked her, 'Do you have a boyfriend?' They were flirting on camera, and you could see that they hit it off right away." As Sweeney tells this story in his own debris-strewn office, he cradles a pogo stick in his lap. "Somewhere in this building, we have all the outtakes of their meeting on tape," he says. "Forget the wedding videos -- we'll show their future children how they met. We'll tell them, 'Don't mind the man with the chainsaw. It was just a mating ritual back in the 1990s.' "
Moments after Sweeney finishes this extended riff, the groom-to-be sticks his head into the office. Spying me trapped in the writer's lair, O'Brien warns, "Beware the misery that's steeped in those walls."
Over coffee a few blocks from O'Brien's Upper West Side apartment, Powel, who will be entering the graduate fiction-writing program at Columbia University this fall, offers her account of the on-camera romance. "It was embarrassing," the 30-year-old blonde giggles. "I was in the middle of colleagues. They were giving me a real hard time afterward. I didn't know if it was real, or if it was just, 'Oh, there's a girl in the room,' and that's his bit. We talked right after that, and it was pretty clear that there was a connection. We just couldn't shut up."

I remember a skit from more than a few years ago where Conan was helping someone that worked on the show find a apartment. They go around New York looking at apartments with a realtor. She shows them places that have showers in the kitchen and other weird things. In each place they try out the shower pressure and get a delivery guy that they ordered food from to get in the shower.
They end up finding a place and ask the neighbors to play a cd really loud and they stand up against the wall and head bang. They have the land lady in and ask if it's alright to hang a poster of a burrito and one of the Golden Girls and she's says no to the Golden Girls poster.
Then in the end they are all sitting around with the realtor, the neighbors, the land lady, and the delivery guy just eating. It was sooo funny and can't find it anywhere, I think I had it on VHS at one point. Anyone know what I'm talking about or where I can find it??? If so please e-mail me at: roofus85@hotmail.com since I may not check this message board for a while.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

The wait is killing me >_<! Does any network or website show old Conan re-runs from the old days? I know there are past episodes online, but I mean re-runs back from the beginning.
He's been on for over a decade now, there has to be some archive? or please show re-runs, there's so many!
I miss him.

I'm curious if any of you know what episode it was where Conan did the remote from somewhere in Manhattan and went into a really upscale chocolate/fudge shop and was really getting on them about how much everything was? I've been seeing this bit on the hi-def promos at Best Buy and I laugh my ass off every time I see it. Usually, I pause just to catch it in the store lol... Thanks for all your help.

There was an episode of Conan right before he switch to HD. He was interviewing someone and then showed what that will look like on HD. When he shows the HD version, some muscular red haired guy is sitting at conan's desk but the actual audio of Conan is playing. Meanwhile the guest has changed to some ugly fat guy. What episode, what guest, or where online can I see this video? Anybody remember this?

Hi,
About 10-15 years ago, I happened to watch Conan on Late Night and saw him do one of the hundreds (if not thousands) of funny sketches he's done over the years. I laughed my ass off, and I've been trying to find that episode for years, but I just don't remember enough details to get any help from Google.
Here's what I remember: It was a characterisitcally lame cartoon, in the guise of a cheesy educational video for kids, about the body's vital organs. It featured even lamer song numbers performed by animated characters that were overly stretched metaphors for the organ they were representing (heart, etc). The only specific one I can remember was an animated car that was supposed to represent either the human brain or heart (can't remember which), and at one point the metaphor got twisted up and the character sang about how it runs on gasoline. Meanwhile, there were intermittent shots of Conan staring at the camera with a "you've got to be kidding me!" scowl on his face. It was truly hilarious!
Does ANYONE remember this sketch? It would've been sometime around the mid-90's. I'm sorry but I don't remember anymore specifically than that. I'm hoping that, if someone remembers it, I might be able to narrow down exactly *when* this sketch was and find a copy. Who knows, maybe it won't be nearly as funny as I remember it, but I guess this is more a nostalgia thing than anything, as this was the first time I ever watched Conan.
Anyone remember this sketch?? Thanks!

OH MY HEAVENS! I cannot believe I found this! Try as I might, there is no way to say this without sounding like a big stalker loser...but...you have no idea how long I have been looking for this! It is the best thing I have ever seen! Now...normally I just want people to leave others alone about their private lives; however, I figure that since this sketch was public for everyone to see back in '00, that it is in no way invading the O'Brien's privacy, and is therefore acceptable. Anyway...I just wanted to say thank you a thousand times over for posting this!

Hi there,
im so frustrated cause on the "Full Episodes Stream" you can't watch the Show from outside the US.
It is impossible. You always get the msg: "
We're sorry, but the clip you selcted isn't available from your location". ( ...meaning ?
You're not a citizen of the USA or you try to watch a stream on our website from a maybe bad country like France. If you're born in the US please send in a blood sample to verify or rott in Hell ?!! )
Why the heck is that ? Im german, and surprise, i live in germany, sorry about that

.
I don't get NBC here on Tv anymore. So i cant watch the show and i have to download Episodes illegaly by Internet with cutted out commercials of "sponsors" cause im not allowed to use the Stream here ?!!
And you all know how mad germans can get without Conans Show... remember... 70 years ago, there was no Conan o Brien in Europe !. Think about that

.
Me no seeing Coco, makes me very angry !

I am looking from a clip from a few years ago when Conan covered the "hundred acre woods fetishes" He held up cards with images each of the characters displaying a different fetish such as: "Golden Showers Pooh."
I would really like to find a video clip of this to share with friends (youtube or something). I would even settle for jpg's at this point.
Anyone know of anything?

I noticed today that NBC recently took down every last one of the Late Night clips from their video library. Alas, alack! Considering how zealous NBC-Universal is about Youtube and similar sites, that means a great deal of Conan's work has disappeared into the ether, saved only on old home recordings here and there by thoughtful fans. New Tonight Show episodes are only up on Hulu ten at a time and get taken down quickly, and I know it'll only be a matter of time before Tonight Show clips start disappearing off the NBC site.
So: why aren't there any DVD collections?
I don't mean a dinky little thing like the 10th Anniversary special, more like the Best Of Triumph collection. Like the highlight DVDs they've put out of Johnny Carson's stuff. For Conan's Late Night AND Tonight Show work, once there's enough of the latter! There's no reason we couldn't have a nice Best Of/Favorites disc or two of all the remotes Conan shot, maybe some of the random humorous moments from the shows, because I think those are the best parts of Conan, more than his monologues or interviews or anything. There's nothing I love more than a nice Conan remote, and they're getting pretty hard to find.
C'mon, NBC! If you're going to be such a pain about not letting people post clips online, then why not actually make them available for people to buy? It makes no sense to stomp on fans if the stuff isn't available ANYWHERE to see. The amount of Conesy out there for sale is shockingly tiny. People would be willing and wanting DVDs, I know I'd pay good money for 'em!

I know! I have been wishing for a new DVD...the tenth anniversary special has just been viewed way too many times. I know it's too much to ask for season DVDs of late night shows, but they can at least release seasons in best of format.
I think a petition is in order!

Hello Tonight Show and fans!
I come to you from the deep recesses of the Interwebs, bearing a gift unlike any other. From the world of YTMNDs comes one of the funniest videos I have ever seen, and it features none other than our beloved Conan O'Brien. More likely than not, Conan will remember this moment from his days at Late Night, but never have any of us seen it as seen in this video. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and probably die a little inside.
From the abyss of the meme-filled sector of the Internet, here is "Conan Is..."
Laugh.

WHY, WHY, WHY have all Conan's Late Night clips been removed?! This is awful. I----a new fan of Conan's since he started the Tonight Show----was slowly savoring his now classic Late Night bits and had not quite worked my way throught them. I didn't expect NBC to leave them up forever but come on........I especially will miss the Underground vids.
And all the favorites----too many to mention but they were all great. I would gladly purchase any videos put out, but there are none available except the 10th anniversary, which is fantastic but only scratches the surface of all Conan did those 16 years.
Guess it's only a short matter of time before this Community forum for Late Night with Conan O'Brien is also gone.
Can anyone please tell me where to go to watch legal videos of anything Conan related? If I could find whole episodes, that would be the holy grail, but I will appreciate anything Conan related.
