SHIFTING EQUILIBRIUM
03-19-2009 10:00PM

NEELA SAYS GOODBYE TO COUNTY-It's Neela's (Parminder Nagra) last day and everyone in the ER seems to have forgotten that she is leaving. Neela proves she is ready to be an attending when she and Dr. Dubenko (Leland Orser) argue about the treatment of two surgical cases. Meanwhile, Brenner (David Lyons) has an epiphany about his troubled past. Linda Cardellini, Scott Grimes and John Stamos also star.

Show Cast: Linda Cardellini, Parminder Nagra, John Stamos, Scott Grimes, David Lyons, Angela Bassett

******************

According to Gonzales-brothers.com, Aidan and Andrew will be appearing in this episode.

I'm going to miss Neela sad.gif I hope this isn't her final episode
ERGreeny
she is really leaving? NO!
SATER
When is the last episode of ER again? I can't remember, March or April now?
Historianic
Does anyone know where she's leaving for?

And I also hope that this isn't her final episode. Though I don't think it will be. She's one of the few - really few - remaining key cast members.
moose4787
Im not buying it, I think she will stay for Brenner. She is one of the few people that can gap the cast from old to new. And with only 4 episodes left I think she will stay. If she were really going then they would save it for the last one or two episodes.
Nicky1215

First of all, I think leaving County doesn't necessary mean that Neela will leave the entire show earlier, right?
She may quit her position to reunite with Ray. (Just my thought)

I hope Abby and Luka resurface in this recap!
SpaceTruckerSD
Didn't Neela leave before and worked at a 7-11 last season? She'll be back
CarterRossfan
I think this is the second to last episode, thelast one airs on April 2
but I am betting that the week after this is some sort of retrospective with interviews and stuff( just a guess)
I don't think she will leave, but then again it might be a closure epi for Neela like Abby had.
AzizalSaqr
In one of the articles I posted, I believe they said a retrospective would air in the hour before the finale. Check the Media thread or Season 15 article posts.

Groovy, thanks

From today's Ausiello column.....

Question: I would be eternally grateful if you had any 411 on when Shane West's second appearance will be on ER. --Susan.
Ausiello: Finally, I have some news for all you Reela nuts! His second ep airs March 19, and an ER insider tells me that Ray's return "disrupts Neela's equilibrium." Loosely translated into Spanish: She wants to get into his pantalones.

Happy Day!! *does happy dance* That's fantastic! I've been waiting for ages to find out when Shane West's second episode will be so it's great to know. YES! Ray's finally coming! I can't wait biggrin.gif Thanks to lorinieters for sharing this info with all of us.

Just by looking at the promo, it seems like they are not giving too much away as to what is actually going to happen. Most of it was flashback to Neela with Ray, Gallant, and Abby, as well as the picture of Pratt. What little we saw was of her hugging, what I can assume is Dubenko, Haleh taking her to place the name badge from her locker with the others who had left, and Abby talking on the phone.

If Ausiello is right and Shane West is coming back this episode, they are not giving anything away at all.

I think it was Ray who Neela was hugging.

given that this will be shane's last of his two eppy agreement we know darn well neela trully is leaving .and not even brenners begging [wimp]her will change that.since both shane and parminder said we'd be happy plus the convo she has with abby in the preview and seeing ray's beautiful eyes and cute butt[i rember in shane's first ever er eppy neela/abby said ray had a cute butt]I think that she will open her eyes and follow her heart.heather

Neela's Goodbye? wow
kakaka
I think that Neela will say good-bye just to County in that episode but not in the serie,
because she still has still a history to finish.

We had to tolerate Luka and Abby politely, during more than 2 years, with high and low, the times getting tired.

But we will go until the end, we are impossible and we want Reela.... LOL... LOL... LOL

I think with three to go, Neela's chapter will be ended today.. and hopefully NBC will not disappoint ...

Love does not exist unless it is returned. Unwanted "Love" is harassment. And no only needs to be said once.

The line of the night has just been uttered...

You are lucky, Our station had no sound for the 1st 15 minutes other than a heart monitor sound. I thought it was a lip reading episode.

That darn wall gets me every time....I wonder if they have incorporated it into the finale....I hope so!

FALSE ALARM!!!!

The torture continues!!!

WOW! Talk about overhype! We got all worked up for almost nothing!

I loved the ending though!!! Neela is finally making the move!

I still loved the episode too! I think it was a necessary lead up to the final part.

Hopefully, we'll see how everything unfolds in the next 2 episodes. They better make it special.

Can you say: CLIFFHANGER!

See ya next week!!!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!! Im screaming right now!! aaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

I hope that episode is not the end Reela, because I will be very disappointed, bothered and irritated
we waited for so much time and it was not that final that we wanted, I think everybody want a more passion and romance

we will wait again

I disagree.. I think all we needed to know was in their faces.. it was understated.. the point was a promise of a future together.. I thought it was beautiful ending it that way. Love isnt always about passion..

Tonight was slow, frustrating, and at times downright boring. It was a challenge to stay interested. I missed Carter, Benton, Ross, and Hathaway. Tonight seemed to be all about Brenner. Was Neela qutting her job all together to be with Ray or just moving to a new job? I'm not quite sure where she was even going. It seems with all the people talking about Reela for years, that a 10 second one line appearance by Shane West must have been a huge letdown. I am interested in other aspects of ER not Reela, so I'm glad that this portion is over with. I still have not witnessed any chemistry between Ray and Neela, they did not even hug or kiss. I still see them as a brother/sister relationship, and it is not plausible that Neela left to go be with him.
PatriciaR
Watching ER wind-down has been very bittersweet. Having the original cast interact with the present cast has been done extremely well, but nothing could have been sweeter than when Neela walked itno the rehab center and having Ray turn around and smile at her. A better ending for two of my favorite characters couldn't have been written. Perfection!
G-Unit
Didn't I tell you guys it would be a cliffhanger! I guess Neela is moving to Baton Rouge. I'm sure the story will continue in the final episodes. I can't wait. I hope we get a lot of talking and working out issues. And I definitely want to hear Neela say I love you.

I actually enjoyed the Brenner/Neela scenes at the airport. I think it was important because it allowed them to talk about their most personal issues. I'm glad Neela was able to admit that it is the fear of taking risks that have held her back. And I so liked the fact that it was Abby that was pushing her to go see Ray.
AzizalSaqr
This episode was full of powerful scenes...

The wall was probably the most dramatic, seeing Haleh's face as they looked at the names of those gone from County and the clips dedicated to them.

The scenes in the airport with Neela and Brenner showed not only how much an affect she had on him, but how much he has changed as a person. His realization that he couldn't fully commit to a relationship until he resolved his baggage was an amazing first step and when he told Neela that he had feelings for her, you could tell she was moved. Their good-bye left room for something more to come, and I liked that too.

The fight between Morris and his girlfriend was another good thread, showing that each experiences danger in their careers and it's something that they had to learn to live with. Archie has grown up so much since those first months in the ER.

And then there's Frank, I love Frank. He tries so hard and at times is so clueless, the Ghandi pinata, the party, but, you know he meant well.

If I had any regrets, it was that we barely got a glimpse of Joe as he and his buddies ran through the house, how cute that they have playdates for him. It was nice to see that Boston seems to be agreeing with the Kovac family.

G-Unit...Abby wasn't pushing Neela to go to Ray, she was telling her it was time to leave Chicago, Ray wasn't even mentioned, all the talk had been about the new job.
Lifepm
OK, first post here...

Does anyone remember the name of the Rehab Facility Neela met Ray at? All I remember is it started with "La"

Thank you very much!
lorinieters
It was a long and frustrating hour, but so worth it! I think we'll see a bit more of Ray and Neela in the last two episodes since Shane was seen in the photo montage when they were talking about those episodes. Keep your fingers crossed. Oh, and could Shane have looked any hotter????
forgetregret
Oh my god. I let out the BIGGEST fan girly squeal when Ray turned around. I loved Archie tonight, he was so adorable!

And wow, the previews for next week are so intense.
lorinieters
I very much think Abby was referring to Neela going to be with Ray. I'll have to watch it again, but I don't remember her saying anything about the job. I only remember her saying she wasn't making a mistake. I'm going back to watch again right now. I think everyone, including Abby, has always known Ray and Neela belong together.

Okay Aziz! Whatever! rolleyes.gif I'm pretty sure that as best friends that Abby and Neela discussed the fact that she was going to see Ray in Baton Rouge and that Neela was nervous about it. Even though it wasn't overtly said, I think it is a fair and pretty obvious assumption. But I'm not surprised that you'd disagree. rolleyes.gif
AzizalSaqr
Dubenko was saying that he thought that Neela was making a mistake by going to a less prominent hospital without the advantages to her career that County has, it makes sense that Abby would be talking to her about the same thing. Those are the two people's opinions that Neela most values, of course she would need to know she was making the right decision after Dubenko told her she wasn't.
lorinieters
Nope. I'm not buying it. Abby is Neela's best friend. She was totally referring to Ray. Nothing in that conversation made me think otherwise. I think moving to be with Ray was weighing on her mind much more than her career at that point.
flower23
oh my goodness ! i was sooo excited when ray turned around. i figured it out when they showed the name of the hospital she was at. it was a french name so i figured she probably was in louisiana which made me really really excited, and then i also let out a girly scream because finally, finally, finally they are together!!!!! yea!! smile.gif

Omg, I so started crying at the final 15 minutes of the show. I loved Frank trying his best to make sure Neela went out with a bang. I was a bit more disappointed there wasn't more of Abby, or even a shot of Luka or Joe. Come on now, who did they think they were fooling having several kids run through the shot. Which one is Joe? But other than that, I loved the show, and in my humble, personal opinion, I love how they tied up Neela's story line. I had a roller coaster of emotions running through the entire episode. I so hope there are more views of Abby and Luka, as well as Susan, Doug, Carrie, Carol, and the whole gang that are still alive. I DON'T WANT IT TO END. sad01.gif

Now I'm stuck watching wrestling with the hubby. drool.gif

Well, the planets are in their proper orbits and all's right with the world. It looks like
Ray and Neela are finally together. I think they gave alot of hints. She's been talking
to him on the phone alot lately, and they never came out and said where she was going when
she left County. I thought it might be Duke, but with Dubenko saying she was going to
a "second rate" facility, that didn't really make sense. When she got off the plane and she looked
at the map with the river, I knew for sure. The name of the hospital cinched it. Still, I have
a warm fuzzy feeling and I'm really glad about it.
