I haven't been here in a very long time but, with the show ending, I felt I should come back one last time. It was no easy feat getting into this account by the way.
I just wanted to thank the people on here. I have no idea how many of the people I came to know as friends still post here, but it seemed the most fitting place to write this.
I've been a part of many fandoms before and since joining this board and I can honestly say, I've never found a more welcoming, giving, kind and genuine group of people. People who I am now fortunate enough to call friends.
Late Night has been so important to me not just because of Conan and the amazing staff behind it, all of whom I adore. It's also because of the people it brought into my life and the experiences I gained because of them.
I can never put into words how much I love this show and these people and I'm sure if you could see my red eyes and blotchy face, which you won't because there is no way a picture of this is going anywhere near the internet, it might go some way to saying how much it all means to me.
So to the show and all the people who have made it what it was, a heartfelt thank you.
More importantly to the fellow fans, who have made this all the more special to me, thank you. For being so accepting when the rooky Irish girl first arrived, for travelling to meet me and making the 2 summers in New York the best times of my life and for accepting me back after everything.
This show has shaped so many years of my life and I look forward to the Tonight Show but it's with a very heavy heart I'm saying goodbye to Late Night tonight.
To people who've arrived since I've left, my apologies for writing a very long and confusing post. I hope this community of fans has brought you all the joy it brought me.
I should probably sleep now, it's 7.30 in the morning and I've been up all night waiting for Late Night.
