I'd just like to know how all of you like the last show, what your favourite parts were, what you didn't like, how emotional it was, and so worth. For me, it was very tear jerking, especially at the end, when Conan started to break down, it felt very real, and very special since Conan isn't an emotional person really at all on tv.

I'm going to miss the old set and the remotes he did around NYC for sure, but it's also nice that he lets those on the Pacific coast (including Canada) to get a better chance to travel to see him, I know I would given the chance, not to be selfish though.

I have really enjoyed watching his late night show over the last 5 years, I have grown to love and adore him, and get to know him and his zany sense of comedy. He is truly special, and I really hope he does the tonight show proud, but knowing Conan, he will!

Thoughts, comments anyone?

Completely agree. When Conan started to break down, I just started crying like no other. For some reason, even with all the hype over the "last few shows", the idea that Late Night was coming to an end never clicked. There was no comprehension, really, it just didn't feel real. Last night, it did, and I've never been so unhappy about a television show ending in my life. It's the end of an era, and I have expressed how truly upset I am at his move, but it's never been that apparent, its always been something to talk about, but never seen. Now, it's all real, and I can't believe it.

I don't know how I'm going to survive 4 months without Conan, and I don't know how everything will work out in LA, but I'm sincerely hoping for the best, and I hope Conan sticks with what his heart tells him, and that is to be who he is as a comedian, which means, growing up is not an option. It's been a concern of mine, and him saying that made me feel so much better about everything. Good Luck on the Tonight Show, Conzie! Thanks for 16 amazing years and many more to come biggrin.gif

True ! When Conan got emotional, it was a struggle for me to not bawl my eyes out. I went in thinking that my elation would carry through the year, but left feeling depressed. It was an amazing show, but so cruel that it was the last. I remember that everyone leaving on the elevator was silent. There was a collective down feeling.

When they showed old clips, since I'd already seen all of them before, I glued my eyes on Conan. Our love has such STRANGE mannerisms, like quivering his legs, taking gulp after gulp from his water mug (I swear he took 60 sips each time he was off camera in the dark), and laughing with the audience when something is reallly funny. Maybe he was nervous/excited & it's not what he normally does(although it was extremely endearing). Pre-show, McCann joked that he was "coked to the gills". Hmm

My favorite part was when he walked up the aisle and fans got to fondle ,,i mean shake hands and hug him. When I got home and watched the taping..and i didnt realize I did this at the time.. I'm hugging him, then trying to pin him so that hug might last forever. I dont know where I heard that he smelled like Irish Spring soap, but he smells slightly powdery, like make up. Not to get too racy here, but he's got a nice back lol.

Anyone feel a bit of panic(along w/excitement of course) when they hooked up a small steel car to mutilate the studio! They gave out pieces of the wall, whose destruction scared the hell out of me b/c it looked like a crucial foundation keeping the ceiling from killing us all(lols). Each piece was complete with sharp rusty nails. Definitely happier with that than color televisions. Congrats Cone-man on the new show

Thanks for the insight, EyeJelly, on the being there! Man, you have no idea how unbelievably envious I am biggrin.gif

And you got to hug Conan, what a moment! Did he seem a bit torn up/emotional when in the crowd? i couldn't really tell since he had his back to the camera most of the time. I still can't believe it's over...

it was funny, energized, full of great moments and again fun. It was sad to see the end come so quick. i laughed my butt off that night watching the show. a lot of great memories of the show. I started watching the show before 2000. And when the show come to the end and he gave a lot of thanks to everyone on the show and letterman and leno, I balled my eyes out. I grab so many tissues. I will admit I was acting like a baby. Conan is the king of late night cool as some would say. He was one of those other comics that help me used laughter at school and to met new people. three months is too long, and yet, I can't wait for what Leno has to say in May. I'm not ready for that either.

My favorite part was when Will Ferrel made an appearance and they showed all Conan's old clips... I am so happy that Conan is coming to LA (my home) and taking over The Tonight Show!! He will be amazing! smile.gif
