The show is just too painful to watch. The cast is just as good as they've ever been, but the stories are forced, contrived, and horrible to watch. None of the characters have anything heroic about them anymore, except maybe Claire. The people who do have power refuse to use it to make the world a better place, or even to defend themselves. Characters convienently forget to use their special abilities many, many times per show, often ending up with them being captured. We see the same plots being repeated over and over again, to the point of absurdity. How many times are we going to see the hug->fly away move from Peter/Nathan? How many times are we going to see someone who can control minds get captured by people when they could have just walked away? How many times will the characters purposefully limit themselves with stupidity like "one life at a time" when they could have walked into the control room and taken over the major players and made them do, well, anything?

Here's a protip for the writers: Killing in self defense is not morally wrong, even if the person trying to murder you has a badge.

I enjoyed the drama of claire/mom and boyfriend, I miss that...
I enjoyed Matt/Peter teamwork.

I pretty much figured the dad had killed the mom so the Sylar story was ho hum and Luke is getting on my nerves...talks wayyyy tooo much and it's hard to like him, he seems like a budding psychopath in the makings.

What I didn't like....Peter still has 1 power and that was/is just lame!!! I know Bryan can't fix all the holes at once, but I was hoping he'd of addressed the "over balance of powers", heck even the kid Luke called it when he said Sylar was the most powerful guy on earth!!! I would imagine Sylar would fast become bored having no adversary or challenge. So until Peter gets his ability to use multiple powers back, it's still just watching the "poor heroes overcome" their handicaps/struggles just to survive, they don't have room or time to save anyone else, lol... dry.gif

Bryan hasnt even started anything on these episodes yet, thats ep 20 I believe.

Sylar is probably going to have an adversary soon - his dad - whos potentially as strong as him since his powers seem so similar, and he got the head cutting thing from him =p

Although this volume is focused on THEM being fugitives - their attempting to save themselves this volume, not others.

Only thing I was dissapointed about is Peter knew that Mohinder was being kept there as well - why not demand him in a ransom too?? He got captured just so they could escape...

Nathan's supposed to be the smart one. He didn't see the 'Peter's gonna touch me and fly away' thing coming a mile away? Cuz I did. Everyone did.

This retro-fitting of Matt's power. OH IT DOESN'T WORK WHEN THERE ARE LOUD NOISES AROUND! Wait, what? When did that happen? Oh, it happened when we needed to get him caught but we realized he's too powerful to be caught when he's using his powers. Hey, we've got the Haitian and the Haitian pills so why not a super duper Haitian alarm.

Episode 20, yikes!!! That explains alot. Only this current group of writers would think to pit a villain against a villain and forget it's suppose to be about "heroes", rofl...Considering the source, it makes perfect sense. How in the world they can rationalize the "company" never captured his dad (if he's that powerful and evil like they did the others and hold him in level 5). I mean if his dad is that bad, and they couldn't get him, why would they think the son would be any different, now they have to explain why they kept letting Sylar go (before he attained so much power and after they knew he'd already started killing).

Oh shoot, I'm just venting because I want Peter fixed!!!! And you had a good point, knowing Mo was in there too why didn't aren't including him in the rescue plan.

Claire/Sylars parts were kind of boring. Would you save Mohinder right away after every thing he's done to Peter? I'm sure he will soon though, him and racey every one there. you heard in Nathans voice "Thats all? I don't get it" I think Peter has a plan up his sleeve to save every one there and is just being sneaky about it.

Mohinder is next. Right now he is concerned about "one life at a time," and that's Daphne. He wants Matt too because that is his current partner.

I mostly liked this episode.

What I didn't like-

Hunter is not a believable character. I don't believe his motivations, I don't believe his position (head guy and head trigger puller?) I don't understand where he gets his authority. His behavior is not rational.

Claire's hair- What's up with that? In HD I could see where her extensions were glued into her hairline. Just give her a haircut on the show and be done with it.

Did anyone notice the chick that Sylar was given to in the diner was the morphing girl?

Also if you hate someone or something so much, you will act irrational. I.E. Nathan hunting his own kind. Ergo - the Hunter will be shown to have an ability

Could tell your venting cause of Pete =p

although we dont know Sylars dads history with the company. How do we know he wasnt the reason they were hunting him in season 1? Or that the 'sale" of Sylar was to the company to be watched? Maybe he has just been hiding out or he was simply too powerful to catch due to his combo of abilities. I'm pretty curious where this may be going, and furthermore why Angela let Sylar go and told her who his dad was (she had to be the one to do it, because thats the only way he could track down the dad)... because of all this I wouldnt jump to the conclusion that it is Villain vs Villain.... this volume is not called Villains anymore =)

I expect to see a history of 'Pops in the next few episodes sometime...

I think the BTE interview the writers hinted at the Hunter's motivations being uncovered in a later episode, because yeah, he has way too much hatred towards specials for no reason.

I got it ! Peter's ability is not one power at a time, it's a power stealer (like his dad) by touch. He takes the power(s) that someone has, SINCE no one has more than one power (except Sylar)Peter will stay solo uno power boy until he and Sylar meet. He will touch sylar and get all the powers Sylar has. YATAA!

Until he touches someone else and loses Sylar's powers.
