Ya know after 3 or 4 fun titles this one kinda bums me out.
I am really looking forward to the episode, the title just doesn't do it for me.

Somehow they have to deal with Agent Barker. Like Sarah said, he knows Chuck's the Intersect. Agent Barker is a threat and somehow they have to keep him from talking...either locking him up in a bunker or eliminating him. I actually have a bad feeling Agent Barker might not make it out of vs the Lethal Weapon alive...too bad, because I actually like him.

I liked Cole, too, even though he was always making moves on Sarah. I can't wait for this is episode, the mayhem Jeff and Lester would cause if they got into that bachelor party.....

Well the title leads me to belive that Chuck is the one that finally spills the beans to the Gen on how he feels himself not realizing that it could get Sarah moved. The wording of "complicated" relationship leads me to belive that nothing new happens with Charah during the Cole run.

After this episode?...depends. I mean she can't have them assigned together. You know Casey has been given orders to kill Chuck, and so has Sarah in the Pilot. To keep him from going to the enemny they have to have the ability to kill him.
douganheim
Mar 3 2009, 11:53 PM
^^Well given that the title of the show is Chuck, I don't think that they would kill him. Also, Sarah was only told to kill him if he runs in the pilot. Casey is another story. Also, since Yvonne Strahovski has a 6 yr contract, she still is going to be in the show as his handler.
I think that they might have a secret relationship, and that Casey would not rat them out.
BTW, I really hope that the season finale is not Ellie and Awesome's wedding, that would be very cliche and bother me a little bit.

They said that there will be 2 weddings, 1 is obvious, the other one? I put my money on Big Mike and Bolognia!!! poor Morgan

I agree but JS has said in the past week that the season finale would leave viewers satisfied with the relationship if it is the series finale, but was always planned as a gamechanging season finale to launch season three. Getting an apartment together would sort of do this too, but marriage would be a real gamechanger.

Mar 4 2009, 01:57 AM
That would be a gamechanger they would likely have a shotgun wedding. Or if Chuck pulls the question on Sarah which he's in love enough he might just do that. JS and CF said they where pulling all the stops off crazy things are going to happen and that would be crazy.

The only way to get the Cylon Chick distracted from Chuck and Sarah is for her to be seduced by Casey. She could also sleep with Jeff or Lester, and she would be to humiliated to give a bad report to the General.

He wasn't hitting on her. He was harassing her. If you don't believe me, read your HR manual. The section on sexual harassment in particular.
Comments and behavior like that would normally get someone fired from their job. The woman is not likely to tell the perpetrator, they'll just complain to their supervisor or HR.
That's one problem with Chuck. The show is written too much from the male's point of view.

Is it possible the broken heart refers to Sarah's? It seems from the vs the Lethal Weapon promo that Cole will sacrifice his life to save Sarah's, and maybe it's here that Sarah gets over Cole and gets closer to Chuck.
I find it hard to believe Awesome would cheat on Ellie. And Morgan couldn't cheat on Anna if he wanted to. The only potential candidate to be emotionally abused is usually Chuck, but with Cole in the story Sarah can get hurt too. So perhaps both Chuck and Sarah's hearts are broken by the hole MI6 story arc? Chuck because Sarah has feelings for Cole and Sarah because of Cole's death?

It's definitely possible, but I would hope that she would be over Cole by then. She spends two episodes with the guy, so her feelings better not linger that long, but that's just what I feel, and I am usually wrong about everything.

If Sarah is THAT gone over someone that she met only days before, then she's not the woman for Chuck, ever. "Lose Chuck and keep Cole for a week, or lose Cole and keep Chuck for a lifetime." Choose wisely Sarah.

I think because the preview for LW shows Cole jumping in front of Sarah presumably to take a bullet. I could be wrong though.

2.20 is Chuck vs the first kill so I don't think chuck kills anyone yet. I really hope cole doesn't die saving Sarah. Don't get me wrong. Kill that sleazy jerk but not by martyrong him and scewing Chuck's relationship with Sarah.

i think the broken heart will be sarah's. i really DIDNT want to say it-but thats where all the evidence is pointing. cole dies for sarah-leavin her sad and leavin chuck sad in return knowing sarah DID have feelins for some measly little brit.
unless.....
cole turns out to be fulcrum! and chuck kicks his a**!!!!! that would soo make my day!

I was just listening to an interview with Ali Adler. She is one of the writers for the show. She wrote this episode. She is also responsible for Chuck vs. The Wookie, The Truth, The Cougars, 3D, and The Best Friend. So expect that type of tone for this episode.

Mar 5 2009, 12:31 AM
well that helps i think the Cole Sarah thing will come to a satisfying end then. But i do want to see Chuck step it up a notch. Him and Cole will likely have a talk in the bunker before they get out about Sarah Chuck will say he loves her and Cole will be like go for it.
Vicki_Vale19
Mar 5 2009, 01:12 AM
Cole CANNOT die. It defeats the purpose of the arc because Sarah doesn't have to choose. Embrace the spy life or fight for the normal. Fight for Chuck.

Mar 5 2009, 07:35 AM
I vote for the broken heart being Cole's...Cole offers Sarah more than a fling and she in turn shoots him down and tell him she cares too much for Chuck!

Same here. They are professional (I use that term lightly) story tellers. Heck we've seen for all of Chuck that they know how to build drama and suspense. Their half-truths are intended for just that, build wonder and suspense.

Cole probably is Fulcrum. Notice in the promo for Lethal Weapon it's Chuck climbing through the window with a gun to save Casey and Sarah all by himself. Where's Cole? Probably because he sold them out, but changed his mind at the last minute and redeems himself by taking a bullet meant for Sarah.
Broken heart will be Sarah's. She clearly likes Cole too...and will be hurt by Cole's betrayal and death.
Since there is a fountain scene, I think somehow during Lethal Weapon the viewers will realize Sarah loves Chuck more than either Cole or Bryce, but still has feelings for those two, hence the sadness in her face.

Mar 5 2009, 12:39 PM
If Cole is fulcrum, the killing of the limo driver and re-injuring of Cole does not make sense. Also, it is too convenient a story line in that it is very similar to Jill. Plus, they will already have the information from Cole - no need to lure out Casey/Sarah

Chuck already has a broken heart imo...constantly being shot down by the woman he loves. I think the broken heart has to belong to someone else---Isn't it about time for some pre-wedding cold feet? I mean Ellie and Awesome's relationship is too perfect in contrast to everyone else's on the show. They only had that one episode in season one where they fought...well and the episode with his parents. Maybe they'll develop a love triangle with Morgan, Anna and Ellie...lol

I personally would NOT be satisfied if Sarah and Chuck were the other couple to get married in the finale, because its obvious it would be for cover or something, not because they are together and want to get married. Wayyy too soon.

But most of the time those Morgan, Buy More, and Ellie and Awesome things are just for some off side comic relief. I don't think they're going to make such as big deal about their relationship. Plus, I think the reason Ellie and Awesome are there is to just contrast the relationship between them and Chuck and Sarah's

Don't forget that Agent Forrest is in this ep. I'm sure she'll have some part in the 'Broken Heart' aspect.
