Full Version: THE GIRLS TEAM NAME
My 11 year old son and I were watching the apprentice tonite....his first time to watch it, and I told him, the girls named their name ATHENA, and I remembered them saying GODDESS OF WAR...well...my very intelligent 11 year old son said "Mom, Athena is the Godess of WISDOM, not war....So..did I hear the ladies wrong when they made up their name, or are the ladies not quite as intelligent as they'd like us to think they are?

No, you didn't hear wrong... Athena is actually the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, the arts, industry, justice and skill. One of the women, Melissa Rivers I think, commented on all of Athena's attributes when they were selecting the name.
The Greek myth characters did tend to get around. "Herakles in everything" is an older joke than "Take wife, please".
