I really want a Philanie banner. I want to make one. How do I do that? I know nothing about banners. I need a course in Banners 101. Are there websites that help you with them or what? And what's this I hear about being about to use what other people make? Huh?

I'm just soo confused.

I make all of my banners in Paint (it comes standard on most pc's) and then I import them to photobucket to decorate and edit them. I just played around until I finally figured out what to do. I have quite a few Philanie banners and you are free to use any of them (except for the one in my siggy). There is a banner thread here in this topic with most of them. I will update it when I am done posting here.

Does anyone know where I can find some Philanie screen caps?
Is there a website or something? I tried to google it, but I can't find any=(

Thanks for the input and advice. I don't have Paint but would Photo Draw work? I thought you used banners like codes in your siggy. I guess you save it as a picture in your profile. But you save pics and screen caps to use in Paint/Photo Draw then photobucket? I think I'm understanding better. Thanks!

Hey a good free banner program that I use is gimp. you just download it to your computer and you can make banners in there. They have a forum with great tips and tutorials on how to make banners.

Yeah, I was over at Living in the Moment last night and they didn't have as many screencaps as I thought they would. Haven't looked at the other websites you just mentioned but I will take all the help I can get. I'm going to go over to gimp soon and see what I can do.

Just have to vent for a second. I've had gimp for a few days now and can't figure anything out. Trying to figure out how to have more than 1 picture in one widow, so I can arrange photos how I want in a banner. Thought I could do it using layers but I guess not. Then I would do art work. Grrr!

I had to buy a program, or rather had hubby buy me one for Christmas. lol I never could figure gimp out. I hope someone can help. I know it is frustrating.
I think there is a thread in Salem Place that explains Gimp. If I can find it I will post the link. It is probably back a few pages. BRB

I am pretty sure this is the thread with the Gimp instructions. If not, just go to Salem Place and at the bottom, type in the word Gimp, in the search engine. But I think this is the correct thread. Good luck! Hope you can figure it out.

THANK YOU! That link did help me a lot! It had another link in the post for me to check out. That helped me out even more. I'm starting to get the hang of it. Still in the middle of some trial and error but got some things down. Hopefully I can have some banners up to show everyone in a couple of days.

Here's my first four banners. I used Gimp and a little of photobucket. After awhile gimp was annoying and wouldn't do what I wanted it too. I realized I have a thing for making banners using quotes they've said. All but the first two are.

Thanks everybody! I haven't been here on the boards a lot lately. I've been busy, busy but have been keepin up with our favorite couple. I do plan on making some more banners soon when I find the time. lol. I wanna make some with all the new photos of them from the photoshoots in the tub and with Molly (Melanie). Anyone know where I can find them? I can't find them.
