811 - Chicken of the Sea Jingle

Teams must write and perform a new jingle for Chicken of the Sea, including the famous lyric “Ask any mermaid you happen to see - what’s the best tuna? Chicken of the Sea.” They are also asked to create a 30-second radio spot that incorporates a portion of the new jingle. One team sets differences aside in order to fully utilize their talents, while the other team succumbs to panic, feeling incapable of rising to the challenge. With a trip to the final four on the line, one team sings their way to victory, and Trump fires another celebrity.

Next he calls on the reigning Celebrity Apprentice, Piers Morgan, to interview the remaining contestants and tell him which two should face off in the finale. After Piers puts each celebrity through the wringer, he reports back – but ultimately it is Trump’s decision, and after hearing the final four plead their cases in the boardroom, he fires two more celebrities and names the finalists.

I'm guessing there will be about 5 people left by this episode.
If Clint and Bryan get this far, it will be interesting to see how their musical talents play a role in this.

Hope CB is still on by this time. I know he could write a great jingle.

Joan will be back. Clint and Jesse will put aside their differences to win this task.

Anne will find a way to get Brande fired.

So Piers and Donald will be grilling Joan, Annie, Clint , and Jesse.

I predict that the final will be Joan and Annie because Trump knows how much they hate each other. It will be interesting to see if Joan can pull in the needed donations for the Silent Auction.

I agree with your prediction about KOTU winning next week and Annie will get Brande Fired. I hope its Joan and Annie in the Final 2 so that maybe they have a boxing match to decide who is Celebrity Apprentice.

My Thoughts...

Clint & Jesse will work together and come up with the winning jingle next week.
Brande will be fired.

The following week Joan will come back so it will be Clint/Joan vs Annie/Jesse
Then Jesse will go, Clint will go - it will be a Joan vs Annie showdown with Joan winning.

Just my thoughts.

This week's preview definitely suggested that Joan would eventually come back to the game, which tremendously p***es me off. At first I didn't really pay much attention to her or her daughter, but as the show progressed I was hoping for them to get the boot sooner rather than later. In reality Joan is the two-faced snake that quickly changed her attitude towards Clint and has spit her venom at virtually every contestant so far.

I gotta stand up for Annie in this case...not just because I'm a big fan of her poker skills, but she's played the game flawlessly so far and people tend to forget that this is actually a competition. It's every contestant's job to stay in the race 'till the end using whatever means possible.

Speaking about ratings, Trump may have been firing people on questionable grounds, but I did have the sense that they would've eventually ended up in the muck anyway. Brian McKnight is no exception...at times he did appear as a strong player, but lost his motivation mid-way, probably because of all the drama that was going around him at the time.

Putting it in American Idol terms, the outrageous rating-oriented auditions are over and now it's time for the actual contenders to take the stage. Whichever team wins the task, Trump will ultimately fire Brande, Joan and Clint leaving Annie and Jesse to battle it out for the gold. I'm really hoping that Annie wins this one.

I love that C.B. is going to sing! I don't think that Joan is going to be back.

I did some checking on the NBC media village site...and JOAN DOES COME BACK. The photo doesn't show her, but the caption says she's there for the next episode.

Whoever typed the names for the photo either forgot someone or needs to get their eyes checked. It says: Pictured: (l-r) Joan Rivers, Jesse James, Brande Roderick, Annie Duke -- NBC Photo now looking at the photo if that is Joan on Jesse's left then she has really changed her look.

Looks like from left to right it is Clint, Jesse, Brande and Annie. So like I said either they left Clint off or Joan has changed a lot in a week.

It does seem that Joan will return and that either Annie or Brande will be fired but even though most people believe that Annie will make the final i woudnt be surprised to see her fired since shes going to be the project manager next time

While Both Annie and Melissa were rumored to make the final the ones already out and the other might be too

I just saw a clip from CMT insider...didn't show much about what happens next on the show...but Clint Black's brother comes to visit. I wonder what that's all about?

So, according to that site. One gets fired for losing the tasks. Then two get fired after they are interviewed by last year's winner ? Seriously, that Guy Pierce is going to have a one on one with Jesse James?

Annie and Joan will be the final two by the end of tomorrow's episode. Trump and Pierce seemed to be into the drama and the Chick on Chick battle.

I guess I must be reading a different article. It doesn't say anywhere in there that Joan is definitely coming back (although I can do the math) and it doesn't identify who the two celebs are that Piers will be interviewing.

Clint's brother Kevin lost a daughter at the age of 16, to Rett syndrome. They are both involved with the charity. Because he won last week he is probably going to present his brother with a $20,000 check.

Hard to believe Clint's team would not beat out Annie's if song-writing is part of the task. Assuming Jesse will want to win ... but if Brande and Annie lose - I would not bet Annie will beat out Brande. After all, Annie is PM this round, right? That would give Trump the excuse he could use to fire Annie -
The question I have is, As PM will Annie is able to set Brande up somehow. I am rooting for not too bright but hopefully pretty shrewd Brande.

I think she is probably very shrewd and much more clever than she is given credit for being. I think she "used" Annie as much as Annie "used" her in the last episode. I certainly hope she outplays Annie and makes it to the final 2. If they lose this task, with Annie as PM, there is no reason to think she, Brande can not make it to the final 2.

I don't think she got this far just because she is pretty. Again, I think she is shrewd, good at reading people. Evidence: No one dislikes her. Remember the praise Joan heaped on her early in the series?

However, I am under the impression that she is not as well educated as Annie (I have read that Annie has graduated from college and has done graduate work) and Melissa who went to UofPA, a school with a fantastic reputation...

I would have rather seen Melissa in the final two up against Brande or Jesse.- I certainly hope Brande gets there...

It would be incredibly hypocritical, imo, of Trump to allow Joan to return. He has stated several times, on The Apprentice, that he "hates quitters". Allowing Joan to return would be ridiculously blatent favoritism.

I've gotta say....that Clint has got to have the upper hand on this one. We know he's a good songwriter; and after listening to Brande & Annie sing, there's no doubt that CB is likely the best singer. If he loses this one, then he may as well throw his career in the toilet & retire.

Joan has the upper hand here on this one as Donnie is tight with his own family and he would "allow" it because of that. (he makes the rules !)

Both Joan and Melissa wouldn't have done as many interviews as they have in the past week, if they were going to just slink out of town. They are there to promote the final shows and for Joan to promote her new show that I posted about on this site.

So true, so very true! I always knew Clint was a classy guy, but seeing the way he has handled himself with some of these people just shows how classy he truly is! I'm just so proud of the guy!

I see how it is, its ok for Joan Rivers to be late but if anyone else did it Donald Trump would be flipping out. He so plays favorites.

I admire Clint as well..he has incredible talent..but I really do wish he would be more flexible. I realize some of this is editing (the whole Clint doesn't listen thing), but it does seem like he has given the editors a lot of "not listening" material to play around with! Arrrgh!! this totally sucks! The local NBC station here showed The Apprentice for about 10 minutes before the news came on saying that a tornado has hit about 60 miles north of us. Now that is all they are talking about and making me miss this show.

that bites, hitchhiker90! basically, the two teams are putting together their jingles and just before the last commercial break Annie was crowing about how she wrote a " kick ass" jingle and that Clint's couldn't be much better than what she wrote.

Tough Call....Athena's jingle does hit the target audience..but Clint has a trademark voice and so he has his "celebrity" on his side. Not sure who will win it.

Clint will finally be Fired.

I really think KOTU won but if they lose Clint Black is definitely FIRED. If Athena loses Brande will be fired because Annie can raise more money in future tasks to come.

Here's how I see the script being played out, Brandi and Annie win, Clint goes home, it finally comes down to Annie and plastic face Joan, I see the rating and Trump knows these 2 hate one another, final comes down to Trumps buddy Joan winning, in the board room right now so I could be fooled.
