Can't wait to watch it. Look everyone the reason this show is dying off, is because nbc is lacking on promoting. Look at all the other shows that are promoted. Since the whole economy is going under that was probably the first people they let go was the people in promotions. such a shame

That's really strange because I had previews on my station. They showed someone from Gath asking the King for help. Then you see men with guns and David and Jack what looks like behind enemy lines. Then an explosion. It looks like a great episode.

There's a chance that we'll see heavier advertising for Kings return in June with this episode, because there won't be any competition. This may get more people to tune in.
I also still hold out hope that they will have a mini-marathon as a pre-cursor.

I have to agree with you. Why promote the show now? May is sweeps month, they don't want to keep the show at that time because they want ratings. It just makes me mad. They go by a few thousand people to get their ratings. These people don't change. We're told evey year we want cop shows, silly comedy shows that make everyone look stupid or investigative reporting shows that are only on because of the people who report. Of course, the shows like Kings, Chuck or Friday Night Lights, great dramas, are looked at as trivial shows. It's the same with My Own Worst Enemy. That was a great show, different, and look what happens. They don't want to invest in it because they're group of Neilsens do not watch it. What about the others? The whole situation just makes me mad.

Sweeps or no, May or June, JUST DON'T CUT/STOP IT!! I don't care what they have to do to finish out the season, PLEASE AT LEAST DO THAT MUCH!
Point taken on the Nielsen group & what shows make vs don't make it. Kings is the 1st network-TV show I've watched - literally - in my lifetime. Growing up, the only network I watched was NBC, but the only show I bothered with was Brokaw on the news. Since I've moved out, (I'm 30), I've watched only cable shows. Seinfeld, Friends, Office, whatever - all too trivial, pedestrian, & bland for my liking. I watched the final episodes of both Friends & Seinfeld, & in both cases, went to bed thinking how badly I wasted my evening.
My dad is a preacher, so I know the Bible's version of David, & NBC's re-telling is perfect! Just similar enough to ignore the inconsistencies & just different enough to be intriguing! I've seen all the episodes & was looking forward to tomorrow night, 'til I saw this thread & decided to create an ID & throw in my thoughts.
NBC "suits," if you read these, please take note: Kings is a great show, you're doing well, & I'll buy the DVD set if/when you finish out the 1st season. Kings is different & bold enough to be interesting. Please don't gank this rug from under our feet. Don't leave me with only Deadliest Catch & Jon Stewart to watch.
Keep up your good work on Kings, & you just might win another fan...

june, JUNE, FREAKIN JUNE???????
Why in the world are they waiting a whole month now for the next episode. I've always thought the fastest way to lose viewership is to have an irregular schedule. Keep shuffing around the air dates until no one can find it.
This is just sad. Kings is such a great show. I actually look forward to Sundays, wait Saturdays, wait... whenever... just to see it.
Can't they just sell the show to HBO? Or how about go online with iTune episodes? I'd certainly pay for them.
Sigh...

Well this move scares me. I watched Judgement Day on my DVR and it had a preview saying next week. So, mid-week, they move the episode more than a month. I don't really get moves like these but they usually spell disaster. I think we'll be lucky to see it return at all. I'm not putting my trust in a station actually doing what it says it will. Like I said, that preview said it'd be on next week, and it wasn't. Let's hope they don't have some other mindless garbage they want to test out in june, because if they do, we won't be seeing the new episodes of Kings until they're on DVD. Or iTunes.
Now the fanboy part of this message:
I love Kings, it's awesome. Well thought out and original. I could definitely see this on HBO. Great acting, great dialogue. What a shame this isn't seen by more people.

Wow, now that is truly sad. This show is certainly lacking in promotion which is a pity. By the time that I found out about it, it was canceled. Go figure... Quality... this show had a quality and art combined to it to make it far more unique and interesting than anything they have out there. Even more pitiful if they don't finish the season.

Kings snatched my attention from the very first show, and I haven't missed a single one. I can't believe the schedule is getting messed with like this. The characters are dynamic and multidimensional, the story sucks me in, and its layered story line wields the potential to make an amazing series. Give it a chance by actually promoting it properly and by allowing us a regular schedule!

I've put June 13th on my calendar. But I worry that they won't put it on. They advertised that the next episode was going to be on this past sat. but then I get on this website to find out that wasn't true. You know, ratings are one thing, but if you say you're going to do something, you do it. And THEN ANNOUNCE a new plan. If you are professional anyway. Part of me wishes that they would give up on it and let it go to DVD so I can go get it watch the next darn episode!!! But another part of me is holding out in hopes that they'll go about it properly in June with a good time slot, advertising and show the previous episodes. Chances are that won't happen tho, look at the track record. Seems the best thing that could happen is for another group to pick it up and run with it. But I have to say that I hope it's not HBO (altho it seems their quality) simply because I don't have that channel.... Oh sigh... what can you do....it's just frustrating to finally find something good on tv, something that I was actually getting pretty excited about, and then to have it yanked away.

Ahh reading all the comments only makes me more upset. Everyone agrees the show is great, intelligent different from all the celebrity reality trash that plagues cable these days and it's in danger of being canceled after 6 episodes, why because not enough people tunes in? Well I am surprised at the amount of support the show has received given the fact that it was barely advertised. I can only hope the period leading up to June will be used to further advertise the show, but in all honesty I doubt it given NBC's record!!! What can we do?

Hello. Kudos to NBC for airing the "Kings" program which is light-years better than the vast majority of dreck seen on network television these days.
The very interesting parallels with our society are one of the shows best features , imo... Especially the role of the corporate head / international banker/ war mongering royal brother-in-law which is quite fascinating

I wonder if he is modeled after the CEO of G.E.? (just kidding) .
Reading the description for the upcoming episode that was delayed until June; i wonder if a parallel with the current Swine Flu pandemic could be the reason it was delayed? Not knowing how that episode dealt with that topic would keep this all in the realm of speculation... But could the date change be somehow related to how the show's content paralleled the current flu outbreak?

I read this under the Court Historian tab on the King's website written by the creator and executive producer, so if by chance the show does get canceled:
If you watch Kings -- and we strongly recommend you do -- you'll find in the show a gentle-faced character named Perry who follows King Silas wherever his day takes him.
He is not an assistant or scheduler or policy pusher -- Silas has plenty of those... Perry, for his profession, stands politely behind and to the King's left and meticulously scribbles down all he sees and hears.
His official title is Court Historian.
When we were given the opportunity to design a website where "we" -- the writers, producers, directors and, yes, the actors too -- could communicate directly with the viewers... that felt like the right idea. Which brings us here.
Welcome... To Kings and Court Historian.
Thank you for checking us out. Our goal is to post regularly as Kings begins its run on March 15... to answer your questions... show off pictures... flesh out the stories... to tell you what happened to make Kings happen. We may not be as diligent as faithful Perry, but we'll do our behind-the-scenes best.
It's been about two and a half years since Kings cracked its eggshell. Too much coffee on a sleepless morning -- some of it spilled on my robe and laptop -- followed by 30 months of pushing Kings, its characters, and the complex world they inhabit, steeply uphill. The number of people who came to help roll the boulder against gravity, suffering the stumbles, skinned knees and rude roots along the way are too many to count... Directors, writers, actors, designers, editors, crew, friends... people at studio and network... Without every one of them we wouldn't have a show to air.
Deep gratitude. Two and a half years' worth.
And now we're less than a week away... and can't wait to air already.
Last thing for now: If you like the pilot but are nervous about investing in a show that could get cancelled just as you're getting into it... good news. We had the (very) rare opportunity to write, produce and complete our entire first season -- 12 episodes, including our two-hour pilot -- before our first airing... They're just burning in our pocket. So no fears of a story started and unfinished.
We hope it's the first of many seasons... but even if it isn't we're all proud of the work we've done.
We hope you tune in... we hope you like it... we hope to hear from you...
