Roman Nevikov consistently used threats against family members to manipulate his people.
Yet, Mark Rawls and Charlie Crews said in the beginning that no one on the inside would do anything to family because EVERYONE has family.
Why do you think that is?

Basically because cons respect each other. They're in the same boat in that they can't protect what belongs to them on the outside because they're stuck in prison. Roman has no code. His control is fear.

Hmn, thanks.
I love the recurring theme of Charlie (and sometimes Ted) having to choose between being a con and a 'free' man - to a certain extent, they'll
never be completely free. They have experienced too much.
This may be why Raybourn will never EVER be able to hand over to
Charlie. Not now.
