We're not surprised that "South
LAnd" did so well. The one metric that seems very interesting is the increase in the show's viewership throughout the hour. We were not aware of this metric, but, seems logical that it would be used as a predictor of the show's performance in the near term. Let's hope the metrics continue to improve!
Cheers

so.... what happened to the show? canceled? pissed off someone that was connected? I don't get it - I thought it was good... now I see ads for Trauma, looks like it's not even on the fall schedule.

I won't begin to explain NBC's advertising and promos. Maybe they're only advertising new shows that have footage right now, but the show will be on, starting at the end of September, on Friday at 9:00 Eastern time. (Yeah, got to love the Leno thing killing 10:00 for everyone) Not exactly a good slot.
According to another post on this site, the reruns start next Friday. Check up in the videos section.

Not a single ad all summer, then they put their "hot new show" on Fridays? The show that was supposed to take over from ER?
I could do a better job as a network exec...

It is on the fall schedule. It is also on the Spring schedule according to Michael Cudltz twitter. We just have to watch the show and spread the word.

For 8:00 (in most time zones, I guess) on a summer Friday night, I'd say that is definitely a respectable number of viewers. I guess someone is always watching and using numbers at the network, even with a rerun in the summer! I think it's more important as the first episode. I hope that's taken as some sort of indication that there's an interested audience, especially at a time when most people aren't usually watching TV.
Thanks for posting the stats.

I thought it was 3.8 million. I know that is splitting hairs but it is closer to 4 million. It's kinda fun to fall in love with a show and track it. I have never followed a show so closely .............. I think I was inspired by all the crazy fans. ( I think I now officially fall into that column ). Still think the show is great can't wait for new Episodes.
