Thursday's Challenge is about discovering the importance of potassium in your diet. You need to get 2000mg a day. It acts as an electrolyte in the body and helps to regulate blood pressure and helps in the metabolism of sugar to glycogen. Get it from cantaloupe, apricots, bananas, lima beans to name a few.

Try using Almond Milk today as an alternative to cow's milk. Almond milk is loaded with magnesium, potassium and antioxidants like vitamin E. It is also lower in calories than cow's milk....it also tastes really good...xo

hey weav...I am actually curious to try almond milk...I can tell you that they don't carry it at wal-mart (where I usually shop for my groceries)...I am going to check a local health food store today...I will post my review of it
btw...congrats on your weight loss (noticed your ticker)

so....I tried the Almond milk ($6+ for a 1/2 gal)...not cheap!! it's not awful, but definitely not something I would buy again....I guess there's just nothing like good old fashion cow's milk...I have adapted to skim milk over the past 5 years...I'm gonna stick with that!! I will use the almond milk for smoothies....
however, I do plan on at least trying coconut milk....looks interesting
overall, I have to give the almond milk a thumb down (tolerable, but not desireable....if ya know what I mean)
stay thirsty my friends!

I tried the almond milk. I got the vanilla flavored. It's too sweet for me to drink by itself, but I like it for my cereal because I don't have to add sugar then. I'll probably like it for smoothies, too.

Here's today's challenge:

For those of you who are interested, Bob has been posting daily tips and challenges on his Facebook page.
THe challenge he gave us for the weekend is we have until Sunday night to do 200 squats. We also have to get a friend to do them with us. If we can't find a friend to do them with us, WE have to do the additional 200 squats. I've already done 100 of them (I'm so feeling it). So, who's with me? Someone PLEASE have pity on me so I don't have to do 400 squats. I'd end up in a wheel chair for a month!

I am on facebook and was looking for Bobs challanges didnt see any of them. Could you please emial me at darkangel987456@aol.com as to where and how to get to them? Thankyou so much

Best thing to do is to drop by the various fitness clubs / gyms in your area and speak to the members that use the services; don't hesitate to ask for references. What you may consider a "weak" trainer might be considered a tough one by someone else. Don't forget that the results you get in your fitness sessions are dependent on the effort you put in and the best person to push you to work out is yourself.
