all you say may very well be true but I think Galen has enough fans as does Eric that they would tune in to see them no matter who they were paired with. They were strong on Passions without Sami and would be here too. Glad to see ratings are up whatever the reasons.

Or should we root for the guy who protected you and risked his life to keep you and Syndey safe [whilst she was still inside you] The one who was there for Grace at the convent and is there for Grace now, does shopping, takes you out on a cute date and gives you lots of nice kisses wine and romance, gets rid of threats like Doc Baker etc

If you are refering to EJ being a Father to his kids and a step dad to Will. I'd say what Sami says EJ is a wonderful Father. Why would you think any different?

EJ has just had Will and Ali's uncle shot a point blank range. And when that didn't work he tried to have him suffocated, their mothers brother and their uncle [even if it is step uncle] beaten up with Stephanie now kidnapped...now thankfully little Ali won't realise any of this right now, but Will does....he already left home and Sami before because of EJ I cannot see them all living happily ever after in the Dimera mansion....JMO

Unless Sami is dumping Will to reunite with this man who is still hurting her family....there is a point if too much evil and baggage and vulnerable third parties between you to overcome and get into a relationship. she summed it up well in her recent conversation with Lucas when she said 'He tried to have Philip killed I could never love someone like that.'

And Will and ALi's father had a man shot 2 feet away from their mother. Sometimes people make bad choices when emotions run high, especially on TV.

EJAMI all the way! I tried to keep an open mind but SAFE do not have chemistry. I used to love LUMI until EJ came along and their chemistry is outmatched. No one is good with Sami or EJ except each other.

Well EJ and Lucas are two peas in a pod when it comes to shooting people so that's why it is great that Sami isn't with either of these guys!

Safe are so obviously the rooting couple if you compare the promo for their love scene to what Ejami had...oh wait Ejami didn't even get one...we got a Lucas and Lumi promo for that. The writers were never setting up Ejami as a couple for that scene it was all about Lucas coming out of prison to surprise Sami and finding her in bed with is enemy - and Sami said I only went to him because you rejected me - and that's a quote from it. Can anyone here spell R-E-B-O-U-N-D sex? That's why it makes so much sense that Sami is not interested in sharing the fact that she had Syndey from that night. The 19th isn't here yet but I doubt we are going to get such a pathetic rebound story with Safe sex as the Safe promo only has two people in it, and one of them isn't EJ. It think Sami will be happy to stay in his arms - the cameras won't be panning to pictures of Lucas or EJ - And Sami won't be running off to another man to beg forgiveness for the mistake she just made that's for sure

But she did write EJAMI and very well I must say for their Love Making.. So I know she can do it for EJAMI because they have the Chemestry to pull off anything.

1. Santo & Colleen: If you wanna talk fate, lets talk some Santeen and EJami. The similarities are there; Colleen choosing between her family and celebacy, or the love of her life in Santo. Sami choosing between her family, Brady's and Lucas, or EJ. Santo between fidelity, and uncontrollable destiny and true love. EJ between family loyalty, or true love. Both EJ and Santo gave into the latter. Sami and Colleen both fought to stay loyal to their families, and failed.
Sami and EJ can be viewed as a second chance at true love.
Unfortunately now they are back at square one, IMO.
By the way Ali and James were awesome as Colleen and Santo.

2. Brady/Dimera Feud: Origins related to point 1. Santo and Colleen. A feud that pretty much shaped s/ls since the 80's and 90's. Maybe longer. Now i admit that it was a pretty silly beginning for a feud to start, but tptb couldve taken another route. And they didnt have to make these characters dead ringers for Sami and EJ. This feud has now kind of been replaced by the Dimera/Kiriakis Feud but there is still the question of family loyalty on EJ and Sami's parts.
Its gonna be a real test and struggle for EJ especcially, but i think that like with the Brady/Dimera fight, Sami's gonna help him. Remember EJamis, they got Santo and Colleen behind them.

I don't think there is any question that Safe is now the rooting couple. The writers are certainly making that obvious. They obviously do not care about history as they rewrite it all the time.

If the writers dont care about history then there is something very very wrong with them because history is what makes the show. And the Brady/Dimera Feud shaped like i said nearly all storylines and gave some of the best scenes for Days ever.
