I know the May sweeps favour Safe but i still think Ejami is the rooting couple i suppose i would say been a Ejami fan. But having read the sweeps its says Sami going goes to Rafe after she finds out EJ has turned bad again so in my opinion he was first choice not Rafe but she decides despite how she feels about him she can't be around him so she goes running to Rafe declaring her love for him its like she running away from EJ once more. Also if she really loved Rafe more she would gone after him first not EJ she so wanted him to know how about his daughter because she loves him deep down.

Please make this nice and don't bash Ejami or Safe or EJ and Rafe just your general opinions on why you think Safe or Ejami is the rooting couple.

think SaFe is the rooting couple among fans who want to see a man with Sami who is caring, loving, generous and has all the traits of a compassionate heart unlike EJ. Here we have this guy who was hired to watch Sami in the witness protection program and actually showed Sami something she is not used to (compassion, protection, emotional security). She knew he would be there for her and she relied on Rafe to the point that she wanted no other bodyguard but him to be with her in that safehouse. Rafe would lovingly tease her at times and at other times he got upset with her for her own good. But anyone who can't tell that Rafe truly loves Sami by his facial expressions, his words, his devotion to Grace and the fact that he put his life on the line for her more than once is lacking, avoiding and neglecting what is obvious. Rafe even wanted to protect her AFTER the witness protection ended and the killer was found. How's that for commitment? SaFe is the rooting couple for me and for all the fans out there who think that every scene between Rafe and Grace is not just adorable but it's loving, emotionally touching and tugs at the heart. If viewers out there couldn't feel the bond and connection when Rafe talked to Grace and called her his "Princess Grace, no his Amazing Grace" that's unfortunate. That type of relationship even in real life is priceless and rare. In real life too I ask how many men do you know of that are willing to start a relationship with a woman who has been with numerous guys and has a 16 year old son, twins and a new baby with two different fathers? But, obviously, Rafe sees the beauty in Sami's character. I think Rafe is the good guy (as far as we know!) that SAmi needs but will she admit her true feelings? Sami is notorious for not being able to make up her mind which is really irritating. I think it's about time that behavior stop because for the sixteen years she's been on the show it's been that way. Let's get her a new behavioral trait---the one of recognizing a good thing when it's in front of her--a.k.a Rafe. And, yes, Rafe doesn't just have that charm and sweetness but the guy is HOT. I know everyone has different preferences but I think y'all are blind who don't think Rafe is smoldering.

For the fans who enjoy seeing vengeance, evil, control, subordination, and power then EJ is the one to root for because he comes from a family that submerses themselves in that sort of thing every day. The Dimeras are a family where retaliation and an "eye for an eye" are their mantras. EJ forced himself onto Sami and as a result of that night when Lucas's life was in danger, Johnny was born. Of course EJ will love his son and he was always attracted to Sami from the beginning to the point that he threatened to not save Lucas's life unless he had his way with Sami. Sami, being desperate for attention, love, security and also craving some sort of relationship with a man wound up in a sort of on again off again quasi-relationship with EJ. How did that happen? Not because she really loved him but because he offered her the things that she craved. So her emotions and desires spoke..but did her heart speak? Nah, not in my opinion. I seriously doubt she really loves Elvis with a devoted heart. And as for EJ, he doesn't change. He can't separate himself from his father. He is willingly participating in the vengeance against Philip and is very eager to oblige the hitman with any information he needs. So, he obviously sees nothing wrong in living a vindictive and destructful existence. Tony death has to be avenged as if the Dimeras were living in the days of Ancient Greek operas. I'm sure that EJ being the youngest son will always want to make Stefano proud and he will do his best to carry out Stefano's wishes. Why does any one want Sami with EJ to begin with? Why would anyone want her to be exposed to a Dimera life? A life where control, power, subordination, domination, evil, vengeance, retaliation, mind control, kidnappings, brainwashings, accidents, and other malicious behavior occurs. I don't care if Colleen and Santo had this great love affair eons ago...that was the past, this is the present. Sami can't live that way. Her life is already a mess enough. It's time to keep her SaFe.

And one more thing... I really like the way Lucas confronts Sami about her lies and her behavior. Seems like he grew up and takes the upper hand there.

I agree with you on the Lucas statement above. I think he's grown up and only he understands Sami enough to know when she is lying, it was only a matter of time before she told him. She only trusts him, she said it today. Unfortunately I don't see them getting back together for a while and as a LUMI fan I'm bummed that I don't see any May sweeps spoilers that involve my couple. Rafe would be the rooting couple this summer, but Sami is Sami and if I were a Safe fan I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. It's only a matter of time before that relationship crashes and burns like the other ones she's been in.

On the "Amazing Grace" note...for those of you that don't know, right before their wedding Lucas and Sami told each other they had an "Amazing Grace" kind of love. That the bagpipes would play amazing grace while they were leaving the church and that is what happened. It's just kind of weird for that to be said when not between the two of them. Hmm...makes me wonder.

It said a NEW couple makes love for the FIRST TIME in May , so I believe it's SAFE , seeing as Ejami is an old couple and they have already made love before

Isn't that what soaps are all about? The angst of your favorite couple getting together? Look how many times John and Marlena were torn apart.

IMO, it's those couples that attract the most fans. Sweet, married couples, or couples formed right off the bat without ANY angst, don't hold my interest for very long. Seems like the ones who are always having a problem getting together (because someone else interferes) are the ones most cheered for.

That said, EJAMI! LOL!

SAFE is the couple im rooting for.

See I dont see much significance in when she goes after Rafe. The plain truth is right now she does not believe he has truly left her. This is a new budding romance and she does not yet know she will HAVE to go after him or fight for him to believe in her feelings for him.
I do believe she has unresolved feelings for EJ.. one's that she does not fully understand, But I dont see love there.. If anything she is ashamed that she even went there, and allowed herself to feel anything or desire him.
When she finds out that Rafe is really walking out of her life she WILL go after him.. Because
Sami ALWAYS fights for the man she loves..The man that she WANTS, and that man is Rafe.
She wont let him leave if she can do anything to hold him and keep him with her.

They are still in the growth stage, I would not like it if they rushed this romance too much too fast.
Watching them fall in love is the best part.
The pause, the thought, the reflection, and the emptiness when apart is all part of what makes a great couple.

But I look forward to angst, and bumps in the road. EJ kidnapping his "Samanther" Lumi angst and all that good stuff.

For me, it's EJ & Sami...I just can't help myself but to root for them! On paper, Rafe may be a good catch for her...BUT when EJ & Sami are together their chemistry gets me every time!! I love EJ when he's with her...the whole forbidden love factor probably plays a role in it too. EJ has this soft spot for Sami...she has a way of getting under his skin and I love it...and as far as Sami, I see her as being drawn to him, she sees that soft side to him...that is why she keeps saying how she wishes she could get him out of the mansion!! She's scared for him...she's scared that Stefano will manipulate him into doing things EJ fought against for so long! I truly believe Sami loves EJ, yes, she has feelings for Rafe but I don't think they are as strong. I think one of the main reasons Sami is so determined all of a suddent to tell EJ the truth is because of her feelings and because she believes he won't go through with marrying Nicole, if he knows they share another child. Deep down I think she is afraid of losing EJ once & for all, jmo.

Ejami is the root for couple.

Rafe and Sami - The way they are being written to me, signifies it's them that are going to end up together. Just because he is new, doesn't mean Sami will end up with one of of her ex's. The slow buildup, flashbacks, hesitancy in feelings, connection and progress they are making in their relationship is healthy and refreshing to watch. The tradegy, no matter what it is, to me will bring them closer together, because as some have complained, there is no obstacles between the pairing- yet. Rafe and Sami remind me of that couple where it's like them against the world, and that only their love for one-another can get them through the tough times, where in Sami's past relationships... not so much.

So with that it's Safe for me

I dont see that in Sami at all, not at least in the last year, I think Sami has grown up, heck she is in her mid 30's (If Will is 16) she is getting close to 40, time to grow up and be responsible and not act like a teenager anymore. Sami may have been all that in her younger days, but people do change and I think motherhood has finally caught up with her and the importance of family and the need to be proud of her family instead of being the "anti-brady" she is becoming a true Brady and will be carrying the Brady torch for her generation. I dont think it is anyones expectations of her but her own realizations that is behind these changes. Just has Ej is changing to become more like his father, ordering all on his own that Brady get taught a lesson.

I loved Galen on Passions. I loved him with Sheridan and later I loved him with Fancy but with Sami? Nah it just isnt working. They come across as friends to me. For me the couple to root for is and always will be Ejami. I definitely want to see Rafe stick around, just not with Sami.

I am rooting for SAFE! I loved Galen as Luis with Sheridan on Passions and I am loving him as Rafe with Sami. They are infinitely better together than Sami with EJ.

EJami is the root for couple and has been for a few years. The writing is making it clear they are eachothers first choice but are seperated due to misunderstandings and circumstances. They have all the angst. Root for couples have obsticles to overcome and Ejami have alot of those! Root for couples take years to develop. They have big moments that are built up over months if not years making them special.

I'm rooting for Ejami. I love the DiMera/Brady aspect.

Well, despite the fact that I have not always been on board with the recent writing for Ejami and a bit confused as to where this story is going, I still think they are the root for couple. Safe is too well "safe." No inherent drama and nothing to build on. Plus the actors have zero chemistry IMO.

EJAMI is the rooting couple that I completely favor. EJ and Sami have a natural chemistry that simply can't be duplicated. Yes, Rafe is handsome. Nevertheless, Rafe is boring with Sami. Mainly due to their lack of chemistry. I totally agree that "SAFE" is what it is "SAFE". Rafe is another version of Roman. Well, I don't want to see another version of Roman because Roman is also boring to watch. EJ and Sami are always exciting to watch. It is Sami who can bring out the best in EJ and vice versa. Sami was the original bad girl that EJ fell in love with. Nicole is just a mere subsitute in EJ's heart. EJ and Sami aren't together as a couple. However, I refuse to jump over to the "SAFE" bandwagon simply because EJAMI isn't happening. EJAMI or bust!!!

I'm still going with EJAMI. I know Sami and Rafe are making love just in time for May Sweeps, but then again, May Sweeps last year had Sami and EJ making love.........which resulted in baby Sydney......so really, May sweeps is all about ratings, not which couple will ultimately end up together. That said.............

I think poor Grace is ultimately going to die ---- which will probably bond Sami and Rafe together even more for a time, so I do not think Sami and Rafe aren't going to continue to be explored. I just think that ultimately we have not seen the last of Ej and Sami. The fact remains that Sydney is still their child, and still VERY MUCH in Ej's custody. We did not have that scene in the church a few week's ago with Sami holding Sydney and EJ saying they looked right together without reason..............

And hey Lumi fans, I definitely believe you guys have better long distance staying power next to EJ and Sami than she and Rafe do. With all the history, there is always going to be a Lucas and Sami bond, and if Days continues on, as I hope it will, there is always the possibility. I just think it will take a looooong time to get there via current story, and we might not have a soap in 2 years

I am and always rooting for EJami no matter what. I don't care what happens I will always hold a special place in my heart for that couple. I have been rooting for EJami since the towel dropped and it hasn't changed yet and is not going to change.
