In this video creator John Wells and the show cast explain the keys to Southland's authentic look at life on the LAPD.

Missed the pilot and episode 2. Only 3-7 are on the site...any chance of putting 1 & 2 back up? Thanks.

I agree. It would be good if Episodes 1 and 2 could be put back up. My son really likes Southland, but
wishes that he could see the first couple to fill in the pieces.

I'll add my vote. Not only did I really enjoy the pilot (and it's a shame that they sort of drifted from what worked there, although I know they had to find their footing as a show beyond the pilot offering), but I had let many who had missed it, and had only caught parts of Mozambique, Sally in the Alley, or Two Gangs and were turned off- especially by Sally in the Alley and Two Gangs, that they really needed to give the show a chance. The pilot is the best way to be introduced to the show and characters- and all it/they have to offer in terms of potential. When I sent them to nbc.com, I had no idea the pilot was gone. When I went to look, I also saw that there are expiration dates when other episodes won't be available for viewing.

Admittedly, I have no desire to watch "Sally" or much of "Two Gangs" again, but I enjoyed most of the others and would definitely view again, especially over the summer. I'm not sure why access is expiring, but I would hope that the network would want to encourage viewers who missed out, starting at the very beginning, and gain more of a loyal audience after the very short season.

I missed the premier and episodes 2 & 3. I would love if NBC would replay on TV or re-add the full episodes on their website. Right now they are down to the most recent episode only to watch. Hulu only goes back to episode 4. I hope they start the new fall season out with the first few episodes to get everyone on track...

It looks like there's an NBC Beta link to the last 4 episodes on the Southland show site now, 911comofficer. I know you missed the pilot, which really is important to see to understand the show. And I think the pilot and episode 3 are the best in many ways, with the pilot being the best. I don't know if you have iTunes installed on your computer, which is free to download, but if you do, the whole season is available. You could get the ones you haven't seen. It's worth it!

The series is starting over on July 31st, check the pilot episode thread for the time.

For anyone who missed the pilot (Can't miss the first one!), or won't be able to watch or record the episodes as NBC runs them again, I saw a message posted on hulu.com when I went to see their latest.

They'll be running the first 4 episodes until August 27. After that, they'll switch and have the remaining ones until September 20.
