Psycho the movie. Did anyone else get that impression after this episode?

Yes, I'm sure they were sitting around the writers room and said something like
"Hey, you know what will be cool? Let's do a little homage to Alfred Hitchcock and have Sylar go all Norman Bates and shapeshift into his mother and have a conversation with himself!"
Yea, just as cool as when you decided to do a homage to "The Fly" with Fly-hinder.
Oh, wait. That wasn't cool.
Seriously, they need to stop doing stuff that's a "cool idea" and start writing a good story.

Yeh, that was pretty much the impression I got but I kinda thought the same thing in season 1 when he had scenes with his mother...their relationship was always a little bit creepy.

First season with his mom was kind of Carrie-ish, I thought..... now Psycho. Nice.
... completely off topic, but when people talk about the "future that was avoided", what WERE they doing with Mohinder? What possibly happened at the end of Volume 3 that caused him to stabilize, that years later woudln't have been figured out?

At the end of Volume 3, we saw him get a shot of the correct power-giving serum, and immediatly his sores dissapeared. That's also why he still has his superstrength.

At first, my reaction was "ugh, more of these stupid parental issues storylines." Then as it began to grow into more of a Bates-esque theme I began to really enjoy it. It brings back the creepyness and insanity that Sylar's character is supposed to have, albeit in a different sort of way than before.

Yeah, but did he actually get a shot? I just remember seeing the goo all over the place.
I guess its because they never got the catalyst in that future, since it stayed in Claire.
Heh. Hiro screwed up, and unintentionally saved Mohinder.

I was wrong when i said that. Either way, they found the catalyst, because Arthur had the formula to cause the future where everyone has powers. It makes NO SENSE that Mohinder was NOT CURED in the future where EVERYONE HAS POWERS yet was cured by the goo from the formula in this reality while it was being destroyed.
Either way Arthur got the catalyst, from Hiro or from Claire.
Now that i'm thinking about it, the second Hiro got the catalyst and it never went into Claire, Arthur's timeline should have wiped away.
