Anyone else notice that they actually introduced new material in the "recap" section of the show? Specifically this past episode they showed Danko telling Sylar that his new life is Agent "Redshirt".

Normally that first 30 second recap section is for things that actually happened in another episode, just to get your mind right or catch you up a bit if you missed the previous episode, not normally to introduce new material.

If you happened to walk in 30 seconds (or 2-3 minutes) late (as my wife frequently does) you would have a bit of WTF time figuring out where that came from.

They have done it before they mentioned it one time in a cast commentary.

Really? Hmm, I don't remember any (but I admit I don't usually pay much attention to the recap if I watched the week before). I know they have "changed" the details of things from what happened in the previous episode and the recap (camera angles, exact dialog, exact sequence) but AFAIK I can't remember any time they simply inserted something of significance.

I believe they've been doing that since season one.

Yeah, they've been doing it since the first season. And it's not new material, but just deleted scenes from that episode.

I can't remember any specific at the moment. It's actually pretty rare when they do it.

I agree that the recap usually uses footage that wasn't in the previous episode, but not new material. That is to say that when they shoot a scene it is frequently shot and edited a couple of times, only one gets to be in the show. Frequently they use one that ended on the cutting room floor for the recap, but I do not recall entirely new material introduced during the recap (with the Mohinder lead-in of "Previously on Heroes").
FlyingMan
I got one. Not sure if it was a deleted scene or newly shot material (though I think it was the former).

In the Linderman-voiced intro of "0.07%", a scene is used of Niki/Jessica in the hotel where she confronts Nathan.
D.L. is there, where he asks her: "Which one of you is in control? Niki? Jessica?"
Her reply: "I'm not so sure."

I'll try to think of more.

Meh, I rarely pay much attention to the recap. Never noticed totally new stuff before.
