omg Michael is dancing to one of my favorite Bowie songs!
Wedd329
So, there's going to be a wedding? Hmm.....

That was a very sweet proposal, by the way.

Kevin? I don't blame you one bit.

Finally, my internet connection is working again and just in time for them to play a song I used in one of my vids!

Loving the episode so far. But now I must wonder, is there trouble the Vance household?
Lenny9987
Yay! We get to see the Vance guys again.

And Dwight: "It like children singing Christmas carols."

How sweet are the flowers.

Creed: "Me too."

His secretary looks just like his wife?! Hmm.. And she wouldn't let Phyllis talk to Bob? That's a bit nervy.

Yeah that part bugged me AND I would think Phyllis would just go past her. WTH?

I'm hoping it's just because he's planning something romantic (which wouldn't be too out of the ordinary).
deltacogirl
Me thinks Bob Vance isn't being so honorable in that closed office of his.

And Jim with the flowers, I'm dying.

ETA: Kevin with his girlfriend... so cute. In a kind of yucky way. But cute.

You can get arrested for that.

...And Dwight has a topless Phyllis lying down in the meeting room.

I've always liked the Vances. sad.gif

Treating Phyllis like a horse gets her to open up about her fears? Interesting.

Angela wants to have fun by cleaning up? Let her.

Jim and Pam look more like they're going to prom or something.

anyone know the name of the first song that played at cafe disco that sounded very similar to Katy Perry Hot n Cold?
Lenny9987
"Are those staples?"

"Also, this song is fantastic."

Kevin and the redhead making out in the corner.

Loving this episode (and I think they're filling their music quota for the season though I was hoping for some karaoke too).

Go, Kev!

Ok, I knew we wouldn't see a wedding tonight, but I'm a little disappointed. It was very sweet though. If we don't see a wedding soon.... yeah, I have no real threat for that. I'll still watch the show.
starearedkid
that episode made me feel warm 'n fuzzy inside!

Kevin and his girlfriend!

This kind of feels like a throwaway episode to me. Setting up the finale, I guess. And I knew they would dance to Gonna Make you Sweat--Evan Almighty callback!

I agree. Erin is a fantastic addition to the cast. I enjoyed the cold open.
Wedd329
Yes, Erin is a very nice addition!

Oh, what a fun episode! Sure, it didn't have much plot to it, but it was so satisfying to see The Office relaxing, especially after a tense 6 episodes of Charles Miner. And just think about how much of a blast the cast probably had of filming this =] Definitely a stress reliever for me as well, with finals coming up.

Erin's great, she got so much in this episode, and she's really settling into the office. To be honest, she's probably the fresh face we've needed for a while; throwbacks like Ryan or plot drivers like Miner haven't been much to speak about. Especially now that Jim and Pam seem to be hitting a pattern of random absurdities that we know and love in their relationship, it's nice to see Erin take on the more down to earth role, while still remaining absolutely fun to get to know.

And, Dwight asking who tipped Phyllis? Like she is a cow. I'm not sure if I wanted to smack Dwight or laugh. biggrin.gif And, the cold open was Dwight at his most diabolical. That was one evil prank.

marleydog
Does anyone now the name of the song Dwight starts dancing to with Phyliss? The lyrics go "remember who you are" thanks...

Good points. I really liked Erin in this episode. She is like a junior Pam looking out for Michael. I lobed how she searched him out in the Cafe Disco and danced with him.

I seriously loved this episode. Pam and Jim were adorable. Pam looked absolutely gorgeous. Kelly and Andy were hilarious....I just loved the overall warm feeling of the episode.

What I didn't like was the cold open. Dwight's joke was just plain cruel. I feel like his character is slowly becoming more and more menacing. He used to be one of my favorite characters. sad.gif

I kept waiting for Phyllis to say something catty and push the new secretary out of the way.

I am stilling humming "YMCA." laugh.gif

The look on Michael's face when he saw Angela wiggling her foot to the music was priceless. There's hope for her yet.
BlueJeanBaby05
I really enjoyed this episode. It's the kinda stuff I've been looking for the Christmas episode, but I'll take it now. It's nicer when it's a surprise. I love episodes where they all end up banding together and having a good time.

I loved Andy and Kelly dancing. In fact, I fell a little harder for Andy in this episode. blush.gif

Erin is just the sweetest thing. She just goes with the flow and I still can't get over how happy she seems to be there. I love how fresh her character is because she just doesn't really have a story line or arc. She's just kinda there and is the 'new' girl and she feels like the 'new' girl. She has her awkward moments and is just trying to fit in. (On a side note someone made the mistake of trying to call me during the cold-open, so I missed the end. All I heard was that she won an art competition.)

I was worried about The Vances at the beginning, but I think I felt better about the state of their relationship by the end of the episode. I just don't trust his secretary. Phyllis, I've got your back, girlfriend.

I was just wondering about Kevin's girlfriend, but now I wish I could remember her name. So glad that's going strong.

I just about died when Angela walked right under the limbo stick. Ha!

So, Ryan is back to doing his temp duties at Dunder-Mifflin. And, the only thing he can control is his food. laugh.gif

I was laughing at all the excuses to not go out to lunch with Michael, a tradition that started after the previous manager stepped down. rolleyes.gif I think some of them were excuses my former teammates and I used to get out of going to lunch with our boss. Five small meals, meeting with a contractor, etc.

What a great feel-good episode of the season!! Yes, the plot wasn't too heavy, but the plot has been sooooo heavy this season with Miner, etc. that this was just the breath of fresh air the show needed to get everyone back in the right "groove", and I think an episode that is light in plot is just what I needed to restore my faith in the best comedy series ever! laugh.gif
